SC Education Department: Words With Bureaucrats

SURVEY “CONDUCTION”

South Carolina’s “one size fits none” government-run education bureaucracy hasn’t had much to worry about these days.  After all, “Republican” leaders in the Palmetto State seem intent on giving the S.C. Department of Education (SCDE) more money to continue generationally failing our state’s children … no matter what.

Don’t believe us?  Just look at the “mo’ money, mo’ government” education proposals put forth by governor Nikki Haley (here) and leaders in the S.C. House of Representatives (here).

GOP leaders want to keep blowing your cash on bigger bureaucracies and shinier facilities – even though this approach has been empirically discredited by decades worth of data.

“Spending fails to provide students with the opportunity to obtain a minimally adequate education,” the S.C. Supreme Court recently ruled. “Rather, the evidence demonstrates that there is a clear disconnect between spending and results.”

Yeah …

Anyway, the SCDE is currently seeking parental input as it continues to devote larger and larger sums of taxpayer cash to the failed government-run system.

In fact they the agency – run by liberal ex-educrat lobbyist Molly Spearman – is currently conducting a survey.  Or “conduction a survey,” according to a memo from Spearman.

Take a look …

Yeah …

Obviously we’re not going to mock anyone too hard over typographical errors.  Lord knows we’ve made our fair share of them in the past (and they continue to haunt our dreams).  We will, however, continue to hold our state’s leaders accountable for the abysmal results South Carolina students are posting in the classroom.

Those are the miscues we cannot excuse …
