Earlier this week we wrote about how South Carolina’s “Republican” establishment – led by governor Nikki Haley – was participating in the ongoing scheming to keep Donald Trump from getting the GOP presidential nomination.

Basically, “Republican” elites are looking for any way they can find to keep Trump from hitting the magic number of 1,237 delegates on the first ballot at this summer’s national convention in Cleveland, Ohio. Assuming they can keep him from hitting that mark, broad swaths of the delegates won by Trump via the popular vote during the primary process will go elsewhere.
In fact those delegates might even go to a candidate who didn’t compete in any of those primaries. Like this Washington insider.
Sound like democracy in action? Of course not … but the consultant class in America has determined that the “will of the people is crap.”
They will choose the nominee, not the voters.
The latest effort to rob Trump of his fifty South Carolina delegates? News that the controversial frontrunner has joined other establishment “Republicans” and retracted his pledge of support for the eventual GOP nominee.
Asked this week whether he still believed he was bound to honor his “loyalty pledge” given the extent to which the GOP establishment has come after him, Trump had a blunt answer.
“No. I don’t anymore,” Trump said.
That response set the plotters in motion …
“Breaking South Carolina’s presidential primary ballot pledge raises some unanswered legal questions that no one person can answer,” SCGOP chairman Matt Moore told Time. “However, a court or national convention committee on contests could resolve them. It could put delegates in jeopardy.”
Sheesh …
Moore is treading on very dangerous ground. First of all, establishment hacks have been breaking this loyalty oath repeatedly … for months. Much like the “Republican” party’s loyalty to taxpayers, the pledge isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.
Still, the oath appears to be the latest ploy in the GOP’s bid to disenfranchise its own voters en masse.
Will they succeed? We’ll find out soon enough …

On both R and D sides, it has made me see that winner take all allocation of delegates is NOT the way to go in our way, way too long primary season.
Plus, ALL delegates are only bound on the first vote.
Keep in mind that the primary season was NOT always as long as it is now…and, caucuses are worthless.

I did not vote for Trump. That being said I would like to see your points of contention with him. Look at anything he has said in an objective manner,compare it to what others that are running have said and the path that America is on and I think you will find yourself very surprised if you are honest with yourself.
Trump may be our only chance to save America and I am not big enough fool to believe he can by himself. It’s not going to happen.Trump met with RNC today and there will be NO major rule changes from 2012.That also means if you didn’t win the majority in 8 states (Romney Rule from 2012 to keep Paul out) you can’t be on ANY ballot.

The RNC only said that stuff because they think Cruz has a good chance to win major delegates. If these next few elections turn south for Cruz then the fix will be in.

Sixteen of the eighteen governors cited are Republican. CREW had been a member of the Democratic Alliance which coordinated with the Democratic party.
