GOP PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE ASSAILS BARACK OBAMA’S SUPPORT FOR REFUGEE RELOCATION
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas is no stranger to fiery rhetoric targeting the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
“We will carpet bomb them into oblivion,” Cruz said of the radical Islamic caliphate last December. “I don’t know if sand can glow in the dark, but we’re going to find out.”
Now that the caliphate’s terrorist network has claimed responsibility for another bloody attack on European soil, Cruz is dialing it back up to eleven.
“Today’s attacks in Brussels underscores that this is a war,” Cruz said. “This is not an isolated incident. This is not a lone wolf. This is a war with radical Islamic terrorism. ISIS has declared jihad on Europe and on the United States of America. They have declared their intention to murder as many innocents as possible and it is long past time that we had a President who will acknowledge this evil, will call it by its name and will utilize the full force and fury of the United States to defeat radical Islamic terrorism, to defeat ISIS.”
(Click to play)
“Until they are defeated these attacks will continue,” Cruz added. “Until Isis is utterly destroyed they will continue to carry out acts of terror, continue to murder. Whether at a subway station, whether at an airport, whether at an opera house in Paris, whether at a community center in San Bernardino.”
Cruz blasted U.S. president Barack Obama for his support of an ongoing refugee relocation program (one which has some extensive South Carolina connections).
“This administration has no means of preventing those refugees from being ISIS terrorists,” Cruz said bluntly. “ISIS has stated its intention to infiltrate those terrorists, those refugees, with terrorists coming to America to commit acts of jihad. And the time for the President’s political correctness has passed. The first priority of the Commander in Chief should be keeping America safe.”
We agree … that should also be the first priority of South Carolina’s governor.
Unfortunately, it isn’t.
“We don’t need another lecture from President Obama on Islamophobia,” Cruz said. “We need a Commander in Chief who does everything necessary to defeat the enemy and we need to immediately halt the President’s ill-advised plan to bring in tens of thousands of Syrian Muslim refugees.”
Indeed …
Cruz’s aggressive advocacy did create an awkward moment, though, when he was asked whether he supported GOP frontrunner Donald Trump‘s call for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration to the United States.
Cruz generally agreed but declined to credit Trump – instead pivoting to an attack against “the Donald” for his alleged intention to “withdraw from the world, to withdraw from NATO, to withdraw from Europe.”
“It would be a mistake to elect another President who buys into the same left-wing moral relativism that equates the terrorist blowing himself up and murdering innocent civilians to the brave soldiers and law enforcement officers risking everything to keep us safe,” he said.
That’s a little bit of an overstatement if you ask us …
Of course this is Ted Cruz … who deals in hyperbole every bit as effectively as Obama deals in rhetorical fluff.

Excellent article.Thumper what is wrong with Haley except she has no moral or political compass?
Allahu Akbar! LMAO!!!!!!
He’s got his own police force already I guess — going to send them to patrol the “Muslim neighborhoods.” He would have us all grouped into areas. “This is the Catholic area; this is the Muslim area; …”
He would have us one foot in the ghetto and the other foot in the slammer if he got anywhere near a legitimate position of authority.
Send him back to Cuba or Canada PRONTO.
Is Ted Cruz a Mormon now? I would not vote for a Mormon. They are a bit exactly like a cult – I think… So are Catholics. They both exclude non-members; and both would keep our borders open to all illegals.
Is this claim you make that Catholics would keep borders open to illegals based on the Pope’s lectures?
I know a lot of Catholics that are for open borders…remember that the Pope only has authority on regligious matters and his opinions outside of those are just that…and opinion…which Catholics don’t have to subscribe to or follow.
“are NOT for open borders”
He’s definitely not a Mormon, but may have the state of Utah wired as he does Texas — with fear or crooked elections or a pyramid power scheme or something. There are roving bands of ‘granola heads’ and left-wing kooks and hidden and not-so-hidden Hispanics all over Salt Lake City now.
Are Jews OK with you?
No. Not 85% of US ones.
“I don’t know if sand can glow in the dark”
President Ronald Reagan: “Yes, the sand will glow in the dark.”
“Our troops will be safe in Beirut” – Ronald Reagan
“The lives taken due to the Beirut bombing will be avenged” – Ronald Reagan
“The remainder of the Marine Expeditionary Unit will be relocated to a safe distance off the Lebanon coast for an unspecified time” – Ronald Reagan
Shortly thereafter, the Baka Valley was shelled by the Wisconsin and the fleet sailed home leaving Beirut a fucked up mess (granted it wasn’t all butterflies and rainbows prior to that…)
I think the world of ya Shifty but the truth is the truth……………..
I thought the the ship was the “New Jersey”.
The “Wisconsin” served in Iraq.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_New_Jersey_(BB-62)
It was docked in Tucumcari at the time. The ‘Wisconsin’. :)
Tucumcari? Isn’t that where Mark Furman ran off to hide after being exposed as racist during the OJ trial?
I hear there’s a bunch of racists there. One from Ohio.
LMAO!!! Yup!
Thanks for the correction, I was going on memory alone. I do remember it was one of the two remaining/serviceable battleships left.
A religious fanatic rages against religious fanaticism. Only at FitsNews!!!
So Rafael wants to patrol Muslim neighborhoods now. I guess that means we will all have to register our religion. Is Rafael going to ask them Muslims to wear a big crescent moon and star, or will just a big M do. Maybe we can just identify them by the color of their skin. We know a swarthy looking Muslim when we see one.
Of course there is a benefit to registering one’s religion. Rafael will know whether you are a member of his cult.
Uh, yea, do all Republican Presidential candidates sound like Nazis these days? I think Kasich still sounds like a normal kind of guy, but how long will that last?
Stalin made Hitler look like an adolescent shoplifter. FDR admired Stalin. Current day America haters are inspired by FDR. THere is a connection.
Only ones looking up to Russian leaders today is the Republican party.
His cult members wear the crosses without the ‘corpus’ — & the bigger the better. He’s got a veterinarian cult member here in Lexington, and my how she works on those furry critters with that thing hanging so large, is beyond me. She also doesn’t think black cats have a legitimate right to a good life.
Fruitcake!
NYPD Commissioner said that secret spying program was a big bust. 11 years and it didn’t uncover any real intel. I was reading about the expense reports these uncovers were submitting – and they basically were spending most of their at the tastiest Middle Eastern restaurants for lunch, dinner and take home, instead a $2 coffee.
nah , you’ll still be able to blow up women and children
Who is you? Do you mean me personally, or me as in my religion, which happens to be Christian.
You only have to register if you are of an unapproved religion, also they will probably make Muslims wear yellow crescents on their clothes.
Is that the Citadel behind him in the distance?
Hide your kids!
At least he didn’t go to a baseball game today.
You’d think Ted’s Dad would go back for old times sake. Maybe see some of his communist soldier buddies from the revolution. Actually, can we give Ted back to Cuba?
No, I wouldn’t think that at all but maybe we can give Obama to Cuba.
Well Haley welcomed with open arms
Cruz looks sort of like my grandfather. He was an immigrant too, and well, quite the dick.
“We don’t need another lecture from President Obama on Islamophobia…” We don’t — but apparently you do, Ted.
has he even worn a military uniform?
been shot at?
been in a fist fight?
shot anyone?
been in danger?
had a hangnail?

UTAH CAUCUS: First hand insider report – Incompetence, Manipulation, and Ballot Stuffing!!!
Just got back from my caucus… My head is still spinning.
Check in was slow but reasonably controlled. Super-long lines. I’ve never seen turnout like this.
Got my credentials, but no presidential ballot. They said those would be delivered to our caucus room.
Got to my caucus room. I counted about 120 people there (no idea how many were actually registered and credentialed).
We
elected Precinct Officers, State Delegates, and County Delegates – the
typical incompetence and ignorance of the rules you’d expect to see from
volunteers, but all went somewhat smooth.
…Then came the Presidential Ballot.
Someone
shows up with a stack of probably 250 ballots. The precinct chair
splits them up, and starts handing stacks of them out and tells people
“take one and pass it down”.
No checking credentials, IDs, NOTHING.
I’m sitting at the end of a row and people start handing me stacks of extras. I literally had over 50 ballots in my hand.
[link to i.imgur.com (secure)]
We
were told to mark our vote and place our ballot in a tin can. They then
asked for a volunteer to hold the can. At this point, most people filed
out the door.
I cast ONE vote, then stuck around to see what would happen with the votes.
About
15 minutes later, with only about 10 or so people milling around,
someone walks in the room with an envelopes STUFFED full of “absentee”
ballots – some envelopes having 2-5+ ballots.
I raised a
question and said, “isn’t there an absentee process already in place?
Didn’t people have to register for that last week?” and was told “Oh no,
this is completely normal”.
As I’ve mentioned in other threads, I was in Party leadership for 6 years and no, this is absolutely not normal.
I
then asked if I could observe the vote count, and I was told my
observations where not needed and to leave the area while the ballots
were being counted.
I left the room (things were already a
complete Charlie Foxtrot at this point) and wandered over to my friends
precinct caucus to see if it was just as much a cluster.
His caucus was just getting to the presidential ballot, and as I walked in the door I was handed ANOTHER BALLOT.
Again, no credential check, no ID check, NOTHING.
No, I didn’t vote again…
I went back to my precinct and they had the results:
74% Cruz
14% Trump
11% Kasich
Now just imagine this kind of outright incompetence/manipulation happening in 2000 precincts across the state.
As
I left the building, I started overhearing results coming back from
other precincts… Overwhelmingly numbers for Cruz… Like 70-90% or
more. (In one precinct Cruz got around 100, Trump had 2, Kasich 0)
Bottom line… They basically are going to post whatever the hell numbers they want.
There were no apparent controls, no credential checks, no ID checks, and ballots being handed around like napkins.
UTAH RESULTS ARE A COMPLETE SHAM
And it just cost Trump 40 delegates.

Brad Warthen thinks one of the bombers looks like Will Folks.
“The Outsize Role of Brothers in Terror Plots — The two dead Brussels bombers have been identified as brothers — one of whom, if you’ll allow me a wildly irrelevant digression, looked weirdly like Will Folks (see above) — and The New York Times examines this pattern of brothers doing such things.”
