… HE’S PROBABLY RIGHT, TOO
The “Republican” establishment is clearly making moves to deny Donald Trump the GOP presidential nomination. In fact they’ve got their “compromise candidate” for a contested convention already lined up, it appears.
You know … since plans A, B and C fell apart.
What does Trump think of the effort to unseat him?
“I think you’d have riots,” Trump said on CNN’s New Day, just hours after winning three additional states in his front-running bid to become the GOP nominee.
“I think we’ll win before getting to the convention,” Trump added. “But I can tell you, if we didn’t and if we’re 20 votes short or if we’re 100 short and we’re at 1,100 and somebody else is at 500 or 400, because we’re way ahead of everybody, I don’t think you can say that we don’t get it automatically.”
To win the nomination without a fight, Trump would need to capture 1,237 delegates. He already has 691, meaning he needs to capture a little more than half of the 1,000 delegates yet to be awarded.
If he gets there, it’s over. He’s the nominee.
If he can’t get there, the GOP convention could descend into chaos. And while that might ultimately cost Trump the nomination … it would no doubt cost the GOP far more than that.
“I’m representing a tremendous, many, many millions of people, in many cases, first time voters,” Trump said. “If you disenfranchise those people, and you say, ‘I’m sorry, you’re 100 votes short’ … I think you’d have problems like you’ve never seen before. I think bad things would happen.”
Not surprisingly, many mainstream media outlets accused Trump of fomenting violence … which is especially funny considering he also gets blamed when violence is unleashed against his movement.
Through Tuesday’s elections, Trump has received 7,520,263 votes – or 37 percent of the GOP primary electorate. His closest competitor is U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, who has received 5,464,671 votes – or 27 percent of the electorate.

The Donald is right and I concur. If they pull the shit I think they are going to pull, I’ll never vote for another Goddamn Republican again as long as I live!
ok CIC, tell us how you really feel.
Trump supporters will never vote for Kasich or Cruz. If the party goes that way they are dead for this election. If that’s the game they want to play its time to burn the party to the ground and start from scratch.
Agreed!!!!
First of all, Kasich is a non-issue – forget about him. Kasich is simply a media fetish.
And you are wrong about Trump supporters – they will vote for Cruz over Hellary.
If Cruz gets his crown through trickery no they won’t.
Don’t worry the GOP is impotent. If they had any balls and influence, Trump never would have left the gates.
I assure you they will not. Rafael Cruz is the Canadian son of an illegal immigrant, a member of a nutty religious cult, a career politician who has never done a thing in his life that that wasn’t paid for by the Taxpayers, a liar and a cheat. He has absolutely nothing to offer Trump supporters.
Rafael Edward Cruz is his given name. Ted is a common nickname for Edward.
He is a member of Clay Road Baptist Church in Houston which doesn’t appear to be a cult.
He has argued before the Supreme Court, which trumps (no pun intended) owning a bunch of apartments in NYC.
No. Rafael is a rat faced liar and nobody likes him.
Mom, you’re drunk. Go to bed.
News Flash – They’re Already Dead in this Election
that was a stupid comment.
Rocky is a lying tax cheat that works to give is Fits.
Oh blow me. I am not a tax cheat, and I don’t lie. And I sure as heck don’t work for Will. He’s never even asked.
yea right. somebodys gotta pay for that daily backshave
No, look, it’s either Trump (disaster – a global risk firm just said he was a top 10 risk to the global economy and security – no shit, he now ranks up there with global warming), or a brokered screw me convention with riots in the streets. That’s pretty much Dead in this Election.
“A global risk firm”
“Muh status quo financial forecast models won’t work without a patsey in office!” Firm spokesperson says.
I would count my emails till the verdict is in.
What about Hillary when the FBI hands her some bad NEWS?
Enough bad news from the FBI, even without an indictment will be curtains for your hero girl, especially with Trump on her case. He don’t take no prisoners..
Sorry my friend, if they was gonna charge her, they’d do it already. And as for Trump – the GOP has been beatin’ on (or beatin’ off to) the Clintons for 25 years. You’re powder is wet, your flint is old, and the cotton is gummed up the barrell.
They don’t have to charge her, for her to become the target of Trump. Just some bad news from the FBI, and it is coming.
She deserves to be charged, if Prataeus was charged and punished for his law-breaking, Hillary should be also.
The Clinton’s have escaped in the past, because they were not confronted by someone like Trump. She will be his target and she won’t get a free ride from the MSM this time.
You see how much press and TV time he is getting now, it will only increase when he goes after Hillary’s ass.
My guess on the delay is the FBI trying to run down all the leads in her selling State Department favors for donations to the Clinton Foundation. People understand that crime more readily than the classified email problem. Resolving the classified documents problem could be lengthy but not as lengthy as resolving her problems with the Clinton Foundation.
News flash. Hillary is already dead in this election. You have to go back Rocky.
You got it.
If Trump is denied then we will witness the birth of a new political party (as yet unnamed) — and a “FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH” .
If you voted for Trump, you’ll just be continuing the streak.
Looking at a poll on MSNBC right now – 61% of Republicans would vote for a 3rd party candidate rather than Trump, who gets the support of only 30% of Republicans.
what i don’t understand is where are they . when they could have voted and could have shut him down cold? it is too damn late now
That is because they are a polling fiction. the polling this season has been disastrous.
Too many candidates that split the vote up till it was too late.
Another Detroit, Cleveland is a failed liberal policy shithole that would consider a nuke hitting it center mass a public improvement. Just the air alone ruins your clothes. When I first walked out of the airport to hail a cab I touched a post and some kind of oily, sooty, nastiness was on my hand. When I got home my dry cleaning lady asked me where the heck I went. I’ve heard places in Cali. are like that but I haven’t been there personally. This was early 90’s.
Is “ross perolting” a verb yet?
Republicans won’t riot. They own businesses and/or have a job. They pay the bills so Democrats don’t have to work.
Republicans enthusiasm for rioting is as likely as Jews enthusiasm for a BBQ. They enjoy it. The just don’t want to be noticed while doing it. But, a lot of Trump’s supporters ain’t Republicans.
We are in rare agreement on all of that.
Wait, are you saying the GOP didn’t want that big tent after all?
:)
You are correct, they “ain’t Republicans.” They are FUCKIN IDIOTS like you asshole. I just loved your “Jewish” comment you slipped in. How about some Baptist minister’s wife giving head to the entire church while reverend happy looks on!!!!!
Oh, that’s one service I’d put money in the collection plate to see. Wait, what does she look like, and is she topless?
Many of us have good jobs, or own our own businesses. Just look at Terry – he has a successful news website.
So let’s do some math, carry the one, plus three, remainder six, ok —— so Hillary beats Trump around 65 – 33 with 2% writing in Barak Obama.
You assume all black people of both sexes will vote for Hillary/Bernie. That is both racist and sexist.
But-but … but-but-but … I thought all the riots and bad things at his rallies were due to goons and thugs sent in by Bernie Sanders to make him look bad. Does this mean the front-runner himself is actually capable of inciting riots and such?
Well gee … who would have ever guessed that?
Trump old and dumb fans would never have the gumption to riot. That takes effort and energy. They’ll sit at home like the useless takers they really are.
One of the Brilliant Trump spokesperson’s take on possible riots-
She argued, “Riots aren’t necessarily a bad thing if it means it’s because it’s sitting there and fighting the fact that our establishment Republican party has gone corrupt and decided to ignore the voice of the people.”
Blitzer asked her if she seriously would want riots. Hughes responded, “It’s not riots as in a negative thing.”
I’m sure the good people of Cleveland wouldn’t agree. And Kasich will have the National Guard out to arrest Trump and his bimbo make-up heavy clown looking spokesperson with her Latina-wanna-be look.
President of Ohio gets his orders from whom?
Unreal. This is truly a verbal threat. I mean seriously, he’s truly threatening, “well I wouldn’t do it” – but he is threatening saying if you don’t give it to me, I can’t be held responsible for what my supporters may do in Cleveland. Well here’s a message – bring ’em on. And they’ll all be arrested, and subject to Ohio laws, and spend weeks in jails, and pay huge fines. Bring ’em asshole. We can’t wait.
Stupid comment.
Not really.
Yes, really.
Incredibly irresponsible.
BLM movement burning cities to the ground is irresponsible. Move on.org is main backer of Bernie campaign. Will he disavow? No. This is part of the plan. If you crash parties and act like assholes you should expect reaction.
I must’ve missed the part where I defended the BLM movement or moveon.org.
Regardless, none of that makes Trump’s remarks any less irresponsible.
Your sensibilities must be getting the best of you. The statement of a fact that disenfranchised people with a legitimate reason to be upset, i.e. more suppression of democracy, is not irresponsible.
“Your sensibilities must be getting the best of you.”
Right back atcha, Clarence.
Mine, and the train fueled by your tears, are just fine.
“Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.”

Trump/Kemp2016
Ha, well done.
The best thing the RNC could do at this point is to emphatically tell Cruz and Kasich that it is over. For the sake of the party don’t hang around thinking you have a chance to win the nomination as long as Trump has a commanding lead. This “hanging in there ” to garner a few delegates that could be leveraged to deny the Nomination to Trump will not work.
Hillary Clinton can be defeated by Trump, and that is without an indictment. And if the FBI comes back with bad news for Hillary without an indictment, Trump is the bulldog to have around to chew her ass up.Trump will pull in enough independents, disaffected Republicans, and people who never had an interest in politics to win the election.
The RINO establishment still has some tricks up it’s sleeve. It wouldn’t surprise me if they somehow made Jeb the nominee. If they pull that crap then I will riot!
There should be . He’s cleanin there plows. Republican party to voters “your vote don’t count” good luck with that .
I wonder what the establishment GOP will call the party they create to run the third party candidate this year? I vote for a classic: The Federalist Party. Sure, it smacks of centralized government over State’s rights, but that can be overlooked since it’s so synonymous with the Constitution and Banks. I guess The Constitutionalist Party might work, but that’s quite a mouthful. Or maybe something more whimsical like Whig or Tory. Although, the most appropriate is probably The Loyalist Party.
