Donald Trump: “There Will Be Riots” If GOP Denies Him Nomination

… HE’S PROBABLY RIGHT, TOO

The “Republican” establishment is clearly making moves to deny Donald Trump the GOP presidential nomination.  In fact they’ve got their “compromise candidate” for a contested convention already lined up, it appears.

You know … since plans A, B and C fell apart.

What does Trump think of the effort to unseat him?

“I think you’d have riots,” Trump said on CNN’s New Day, just hours after winning three additional states in his front-running bid to become the GOP nominee.

“I think we’ll win before getting to the convention,” Trump added. “But I can tell you, if we didn’t and if we’re 20 votes short or if we’re 100 short and we’re at 1,100 and somebody else is at 500 or 400, because we’re way ahead of everybody, I don’t think you can say that we don’t get it automatically.”

To win the nomination without a fight, Trump would need to capture 1,237 delegates.  He already has 691, meaning he needs to capture a little more than half of the 1,000 delegates yet to be awarded.

If he gets there, it’s over.  He’s the nominee.

If he can’t get there, the GOP convention could descend into chaos.  And while that might ultimately cost Trump the nomination … it would no doubt cost the GOP far more than that.

“I’m representing a tremendous, many, many millions of people, in many cases, first time voters,” Trump said. “If you disenfranchise those people, and you say, ‘I’m sorry, you’re 100 votes short’ … I think you’d have problems like you’ve never seen before. I think bad things would happen.”

Not surprisingly, many mainstream media outlets accused Trump of fomenting violence … which is especially funny considering he also gets blamed when violence is unleashed against his movement.

Through Tuesday’s elections, Trump has received 7,520,263 votes – or 37 percent of the GOP primary electorate.  His closest competitor is U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, who has received 5,464,671 votes – or 27 percent of the electorate.

Trump supporters will never vote for Kasich or Cruz. If the party goes that way they are dead for this election. If that’s the game they want to play its time to burn the party to the ground and start from scratch.

First of all, Kasich is a non-issue – forget about him. Kasich is simply a media fetish.
And you are wrong about Trump supporters – they will vote for Cruz over Hellary.

Don’t worry the GOP is impotent. If they had any balls and influence, Trump never would have left the gates.

Trump 2016 March 16, 2016 at 6:16 pm

I assure you they will not. Rafael Cruz is the Canadian son of an illegal immigrant, a member of a nutty religious cult, a career politician who has never done a thing in his life that that wasn’t paid for by the Taxpayers, a liar and a cheat. He has absolutely nothing to offer Trump supporters.

Reply
Mom March 16, 2016 at 8:20 pm

Rafael Edward Cruz is his given name. Ted is a common nickname for Edward.
He is a member of Clay Road Baptist Church in Houston which doesn’t appear to be a cult.
He has argued before the Supreme Court, which trumps (no pun intended) owning a bunch of apartments in NYC.

No, look, it’s either Trump (disaster – a global risk firm just said he was a top 10 risk to the global economy and security – no shit, he now ranks up there with global warming), or a brokered screw me convention with riots in the streets. That’s pretty much Dead in this Election.

Clarence Boddicker March 17, 2016 at 9:13 am

“A global risk firm”

“Muh status quo financial forecast models won’t work without a patsey in office!” Firm spokesperson says.

I would count my emails till the verdict is in.
What about Hillary when the FBI hands her some bad NEWS?
Enough bad news from the FBI, even without an indictment will be curtains for your hero girl, especially with Trump on her case. He don’t take no prisoners..

Reply
Rocky Verdad March 16, 2016 at 9:36 pm

Sorry my friend, if they was gonna charge her, they’d do it already. And as for Trump – the GOP has been beatin’ on (or beatin’ off to) the Clintons for 25 years. You’re powder is wet, your flint is old, and the cotton is gummed up the barrell.

erneba March 16, 2016 at 10:13 pm

They don’t have to charge her, for her to become the target of Trump. Just some bad news from the FBI, and it is coming.
She deserves to be charged, if Prataeus was charged and punished for his law-breaking, Hillary should be also.
The Clinton’s have escaped in the past, because they were not confronted by someone like Trump. She will be his target and she won’t get a free ride from the MSM this time.
You see how much press and TV time he is getting now, it will only increase when he goes after Hillary’s ass.

erneba March 17, 2016 at 4:16 pm

My guess on the delay is the FBI trying to run down all the leads in her selling State Department favors for donations to the Clinton Foundation. People understand that crime more readily than the classified email problem. Resolving the classified documents problem could be lengthy but not as lengthy as resolving her problems with the Clinton Foundation.

Another Detroit, Cleveland is a failed liberal policy shithole that would consider a nuke hitting it center mass a public improvement. Just the air alone ruins your clothes. When I first walked out of the airport to hail a cab I touched a post and some kind of oily, sooty, nastiness was on my hand. When I got home my dry cleaning lady asked me where the heck I went. I’ve heard places in Cali. are like that but I haven’t been there personally. This was early 90’s.

But-but … but-but-but … I thought all the riots and bad things at his rallies were due to goons and thugs sent in by Bernie Sanders to make him look bad. Does this mean the front-runner himself is actually capable of inciting riots and such?

One of the Brilliant Trump spokesperson’s take on possible riots-

She argued, “Riots aren’t necessarily a bad thing if it means it’s because it’s sitting there and fighting the fact that our establishment Republican party has gone corrupt and decided to ignore the voice of the people.”

Blitzer asked her if she seriously would want riots. Hughes responded, “It’s not riots as in a negative thing.”

The best thing the RNC could do at this point is to emphatically tell Cruz and Kasich that it is over. For the sake of the party don’t hang around thinking you have a chance to win the nomination as long as Trump has a commanding lead. This “hanging in there ” to garner a few delegates that could be leveraged to deny the Nomination to Trump will not work.
Hillary Clinton can be defeated by Trump, and that is without an indictment. And if the FBI comes back with bad news for Hillary without an indictment, Trump is the bulldog to have around to chew her ass up.Trump will pull in enough independents, disaffected Republicans, and people who never had an interest in politics to win the election.

I wonder what the establishment GOP will call the party they create to run the third party candidate this year? I vote for a classic: The Federalist Party. Sure, it smacks of centralized government over State’s rights, but that can be overlooked since it’s so synonymous with the Constitution and Banks. I guess The Constitutionalist Party might work, but that’s quite a mouthful. Or maybe something more whimsical like Whig or Tory. Although, the most appropriate is probably The Loyalist Party.
