“BOTCHED INVESTIGATION” OF UNDISCLOSED “INCIDENT” SAID TO BE AT THE HEART OF RECENT FIRINGS
The termination of three high-profile employees of the S.C. State Ports Authority (SCSPA) late last week was reportedly “justified,” a source close to the agency told us this week.
Details were not immediately provided, but we’re told the firings are somehow linked to a lawsuit stemming from a “botched investigation” initiated by the agency’s internal security force in December 2015.
What happened?
“It (was) an incident at the North Charleston terminal and that’s all I’ll say,” a source familiar with the situation told us.
Hmmm …
We’ve been promised additional details regarding the lawsuit and the incident which precipitated it – which we will be sure to provide our readers as soon as possible. In the meantime, port officials continue to refrain from commenting on the matter.
Of interest? Reporter David Wren of The (Charleston, S.C.) Post and Courier has a story up this afternoon in which he refers to a wrongful death lawsuit brought against the SCSPA by the wife of Derek Boyd, a 47-year-old truck driver who died following “an accident at the (North Charleston) terminal on December 11.”
According to the agency’s response to the suit, “information and evidence indicate the matter may be criminal in nature” – and as a result the investigation has been turned over to the North Charleston, S.C. police department.
It’s not immediately clear whether this is the lawsuit our sources are referring to … but it would certainly seem to fit the narrative we’ve been provided.
We’ll let you know as soon as more information is available …

The mystery, suspense, and intrigue is giving me hemorrhoids. How long do they need to think of an acceptable bullshit story?
Actually, taking massive cocks up your ass is the cause of anal warts, er, hemorrhoids.
And I see you are constantly plagued by a case of the sore throat.
You should be aware of the side affects of taking one, if you know what I mean.
Hey boy, someone else suggest that you bend over for old fred! Whoof-whoof. Speaking of sore throats I bet you maw had many of those until she forgot to swallow and had old erneba, if you know what I mean.
Sit, Fred, Sit.

Pedorastic, ignorant, lying fuck!
Its right there in the P&C assuming you can add 2+2.
Yup, a driver killed and now a criminal investigation.
SCSPA- blaming the innocent for others failures. This had nothing to do with the horrible incident in N. Chas. Port releases info with the hopes that it will make the public look thr other way. As for the newspapers: puppets on a string!
“….wrongful death lawsuit brought against the SCSPA by the wife of … a truck driver who died following “an accident’ at the … terminal on December 11…”
Why does the smell of cover-up seem to be wafting from the port?
Hmm……maybe moving contraband isn’t as safe as it used to be. (….wait a second….)
Wait till the story on possible bid rigging breaks on State Ports construction projects.
Wonder how many dirty cops will be paid off?
I wonder what there made Catherine Templeton jump ship, so to speak, so quickly.
Intimately familiar with this & there’s no cover-up here. Just a complete & utter lack of security measures in place for this type of accident and some real “Keystone Cops” type police work. The Port facilities are fast-paced, dangerous places and the “rules” are too numerous to enforce. It was only a matter of time before this happened. The Port Police are more focused on contraband, stowaways, internal theft & the like and aren’t equipped to conduct this type of investigation. They should have handed it off to North Charleston PD immediately. As happens so often, departmental pride prevented that from happening in a timely manner.
