GATHERING WILL FOCUS ON ENERGY ISSUES, PROPERTY RIGHTS, REFUGEE RESETTLEMENTS
Diane Hardy is one of South Carolina’s top conservative political activists – which we know because we’ve written of her involvement in various issues on this website before. Most recently, Hardy has taken a leadership role in opposing the recent rash of proposed refugee resettlements in the Palmetto State – including efforts to hold S.C. governor Nikki Haley accountable for her role in the scandal.
We love that about Hardy … but we also love her ongoing efforts to train others to be effective advocates.
To that end Hardy’s group – Citizens In Action – is hosting its annual Palmetto Panel conference this month in Clemson, S.C.
“This citizen-led conference is designed to inform South Carolinians of important issues and upcoming legislation in our state,” the panel’s website states. “The intent is to educate, motivate, and energize the citizens of S.C. so they have both the knowledge and the confidence to engage local and state government more effectively.”
The Palmetto Panel – which you can read more about here – will feature two steadfastly pro-freedom, pro-free market elected officials, U.S. Rep. Jeff Duncan and state treasurer Curtis Loftis. Both of these guys have shown a consistent willingness to buck the status quo in Washington, D.C. and Columbia, S.C., respectively, and their participation in this event is a sign its organizers are coming at things from the proper perspective.
Other experts will provide insight on specific issues of relevance to South Carolina – including protecting the state’s electrical grid, protecting property rights and of course protecting citizens from the recent influx of un-vetted refugees.
Interested in attending the panel? It convenes at the Madren Conference Center on the shores of Lake Hartwell on Saturday, March 19 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. EDT (with an optional “citizen training” event scheduled for the following day). Cost for the event is $45.00 – which includes breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

Yes yes he loves fascism so naturally Pogo would love that.

My kind of meeting, I’ll have to hide my hood though!
Then how would they know to let you in? You would be the only one there without one.
This is true. Thanks for the heads up!
How about they focus on FIXING THE DAMN ROADS.
Why fix roads when you can twiddle thumbs?
Do you think the SCDOT is salvageable?
“Protecting the electrical grid’? Sounds like anti-solar Koch Bros. propaganda.
All the women in that photo are fat.
What a joke! How many people do you think they will scam out of the 45 bucks.
A lot of people will be there. It is an opportunity to unravel the BS coming out of DC and Columbia and make sense of our government.
