WHEN WILL THE REPUBLICAN PARTY GET IT?
|| By MICHAEL McDANIEL || The X-Files is back on TV – and with it comes all the conspiracy theories, government cover-ups and allegations of collusion among power brokers seeking to undermine the American public as they pursue world domination.
Sound familiar? It should. Welcome to the GOP establishment’s “Project Blue Book.”
No, these are not aliens – well, not aliens from outer space anyway. This is the party elite’s effort to make the GOP more Democratic.
In looking at the political map of the fifty states there is a lot of “red” across the fruited plain. Voters delivered a GOP mandate in 2010 and 2014 to check the overreach of president Barack Obama via the legislative branch. Landslide victories in these midterm elections created the expectation that Congress would do everything it could to oppose Obama and the Democrats.
We know the results: They rolled over.
GOP Project Blue Book calls for the following: Comply with Obama, ignore the conservative base, embrace political correctness, crave recognition from liberals, rinse and repeat.
It’s not like the GOP isn’t putting up serious candidates, right? Bob Dole? He was either going to run as the GOP nominee in 1996 against Bill Clinton – or be Clinton’s running mate. Either way, six of one and a half dozen of the other. It took twenty years for Dole to make his way to the front of the line, and his patience paid off with a GOP nomination – and another butt-kicking.
Then there was the “maverick of the Senate,” John McCain. McCain switched his ideologies and votes during his tenure as a Senator like the rest of us switch skivvies. This is known in strategy circles as the “politics of confusion.” People who work in corporations at upper executive levels refer to it as “moving the target.”
This strategy keep bosses off balance and uniformed as to what their direct reports are doing, or not doing. Voters scratch their head raw when they ask, “can anyone name one serious accomplishment McCain achieved as a legislator that advanced the cause of freedom”? McCain, or the “Mav” as we like to call him, was now Top Gun and he deserved his shot at becoming “Viper.”
Unlike Top Gun, this Mav had his wings clipped and permanently grounded.
This brings us to Mr. Squeaky-Clean Mitt Romney – another serious contender for the GOP who had been training in a “Rocky-style” back street gym honing his political physique with Mick in his ear screaming, “you’re gonna eat lightnin’ and you’re gonna crap thunder!”
None of this happened. Romney wasn’t built to be serious, eat lightning, or crap thunder. Everyone in the viewing audience for one of the presidential debates was waiting for Romney to pile-drive Obama with a Benghazi haymaker (insert sound of balloon deflating). Romney was holding the ticket from the ticket-taker that places you in the Republican line. His ticket said “number one”, so it was his turn to run for president.
Clubber Lang prophesied accurately with his prediction; “Pain.”
Now the GOP “smoking man” and his cabal of power brokers such as House Speaker Paul Ryan, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and most recently, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley have conspired to convince us that we need to elect yet another pooh-bear candidate.
GOP Project Blue Book calls for only “club-members”, i.e. Jeb Bush, John Kasich, and Marco Rubio. These are centrist candidates who are qualified as being acceptable and electable to be promulgated and endorsed to the masses. Translation – you’re too dumb to figure this your for yourself.
(Note: this writer wrote a column on January 15th predicting that Haley would endorse Rubio after her GOP response to Obama’s State of the Union speech).
In Haley’s remarks she said of Rubio, “I wanted somebody with fight, I wanted somebody with passion, I wanted somebody who had the conviction to do the right thing, but I wanted somebody humble enough to remember he works for all the people.”
It has been reported by other news outlets that GOP party chiefs had her on the hook for an establishment bearhug of Rubio right after New Hampshire, but this was halted due to his performance. The establishment noble-ring signet has now been kissed to the forehead of the newly ordained Rubio. We can all now think accordingly.
Let’s not forget about the GOP “donor class” party in South Carolina that was charitably referred to as a “debate.” This carefully chosen crowd purposely booed outsider candidates like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz as they embraced the mushy middling of Bush, Kasich and Rubio.
GOP voters keep trying to tell the establishment; “Understand this!” Outsider candidates (Trump, Cruz and Ben Carson) account for more than sixty percent of the party’s vote, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average.
The “rage against the machine” is in full swing with a majority of support going to candidates not tainted by anti-American ideas such amnesty for illegal immigrants. Voters want candidates who have not sold their soul in the form of Obamacare financing or the Omnibus Budget Bills that spend the end to our children’s future. Instead, they are attracted to leaders who will reclaim America’s mantle as the greatest, most powerful nation in the world – and the leader of the free world. They also want a president who will follow the Constitution and the rule of law.
Why can’t the establishment figure this out? Simply explained, it’s because they choose not to believe what the truth is, because they’ve been blinded by the “blue” in an effort to be accepted by Democrats and praised by the media.
The good news? Voters remain intent on helping the establishment get over their “blues.” By accessing rogue sites on their laptops and smartphones – they know a new era of information is out there. They know “the truth is out there.”

The Edtablishment believes in itself. It knows it is entitled to the people’s purse. It’s alliance is to itself not the people.
Haley, Leatherman, Rubio, Ryan, Clinton, Biden etc all believe in themselves and not the people.
Screw them. Vote for the outsider and break the reliance on that bunch!
so you are asking me to vote for an outsider? that should be the one reason i vote for somebody is they are an outsider? well you can take your silly shit argument and go home. pragmatic voters don’t choose on a single issue, and the rest of the electorate is not as stupid as you.
Stump.
Pissy is a color that does not look good on most people. You are no exception.
You, no doubt the affirmative action prize winner for grammar and vocabulary, classify as an an insignificant wanna-be. Sad but true, but such is life.
i’m not being pissy, i’m saying voting on a single issue,”vote for an outsider” is sophomoric,
Sophomoric maybe, but with our high school graduation rates as they are that’s about all you can expect from the average voter nowadays.
Dems are single issue voters-find the candidate that hates America the most and do the most damage.
Your understanding is juvenile and language is dim.
Outsider is code for those protesting outdated orthodoxy and willing to explore new and pragmatic solutions.
It stands for those not willing to sacrifice freedom for a handout and thier duties for a bribe of money or prestige. But of course you know this and choose to be obtuse.
No matter, Saturday’s result will set us all right, one way or the other.
Weren’t you the fellow ranting in another post about everyone being the same? Outside equals different, at least until they are in (side).
That’s why I’m voting for Bernie next week.
Bernie,Stalin,Castro,Obama,Chavez….have at it.
Amen! Me too! The original Flip stands by Bernie 100000%!!! LMAO!!!!
You’re going to rage your dumbass selves into another four years (at least) of a Democrat presidency.
yep
It’s good that you accept defeat.
Obama ensured your defeat. This election is about Obama.
Obama won two elections, hopefully Bernie will too!
Says the establishment guy…
I’d much prefer a reliably conservative “establishment” Republican to Clinton, Sanders or Trump.
You’re going to quickly see you’re in the minority.
Might be, might not be. I will at least have the comfort of knowing that I didn’t contribute to electing a criminal, a Socialist, or a narcissistic nutbag.
Yes, you sound comfortable already.
Michael McDaniel, too much X-Files.
Like a dad telling his kids what’s best, knowing they won’t like it Ted Cruz offers the best chance for us to get on the right track. Those who deride him worst don’t realize yet that he will protect them most.

Ah, good ol’ Ted, yet another candidate in the employe of the globalists and NWO; same as the Bushes, Clintons, Obama, Rubio, etc.
Just what we need more of right now, ………… NOT!!!!!
Check out Ted’s associations.

This sounds like more tin foil hat stuff to me, but hey Trump is the candidates for tin foil hat wearers.
Feeble arrempts to mask truth by calling it “tinfoil hat” won’t change it from being true.
Tinfoil indeed, check him out. He is a CruzBot nutter. Has a fanboy blog like Cruz has dry humped him or something.
I noticed that, Taz. Hopefully, he has some tax returns to do.
I was hoping to get some favorite restaurant leads for a trip to Columbia Sunday. Usually go to Fuddruckers, looking for something different maybe BBQ (not Maurice’s) but anything is appreciated casual dining wise.
Posted by me on another thread but not sure if you could see it.
Actually I have blogs about returning to a limited government that have supported Cruz since the campaign started in earnest. But hey, ad hominem seems to work fine for you so keep going with that.
Ted Cruz? Limited Government? Hoo boy, and you were inferring CiC is gullible? While I love the IDEA of LG, your plan to get us there? Not so much.
It’s on his website, you may want to check it out.
Sooooo sleezy tactics or lies are okay if it is for “Limited Government”? I’ve been checking Ted out for quite some time and while it started pretty high my opinion of him has been dropping like a rock. Sorry, I will just have to agree to disagree. Have a nice election!
It’s true? Bring forth some proof. I can’t prove it doesn’t exist, but most certainly you can prove it does? Right?
Meanwhile, this takeover of sovereignty is occuring in Europe:
Michael Caine on the EU referendum: “You were only supposed to be a bloody free trade agreement.”
Only a free trade agreement, huh? That sounds so familiar.. could it be the exact sort of thing Ted was for?
Cameron ran as a more conservative candidate and is now accused of being a traitor and anything but conservative …
I hated the idea of the EU and even when people (yes including Heidi Cruz) were floating the idea of a NA version, but I trust Ted’s principles, morals and historic support of Constitutional principles indicate he won’t look to go that way.
If he was really against it he would have no reason to refuse answering.
One doesn’t necessarily equal the other. Like I said, I’m sure he has his reasons, but hasn’t shared them with me so I can’t really say anything on that.
So, Ted has some magical mystery reason why he would hide his agenda from the American people during an election?
Now who has a tinfoil hat?
Could you imagine if every candidate had to answer every set of questions laid out before them? Choices are made by campaigns…that really isn’t proof of malicious intent or conspiracy.
I would buy that if these questions were not asked by Sessions, who Cruz portrays as a partner in his fight against the trade deals.
There are clearly other problems with Cruz which I am putting aside to specifically address his policy problems.
I had originally thought he would have been my choice until I did my homework.
I don’t know what to tell you. I have access to the same information as you and, as you know, Trump is the only one to respond to it. I guess you, like me, have to weigh his response to a questionnaire against the other candidates’ non-response and decide where you stand. I’m not going to make something up to support Cruz.
Ted is the closet thing to Reagan we have. However desperate times call for desperate measures.Trump.
If you’re good with become like Venezuela then cast your lot in that direction. I believe that his tacit support for white supremesists and conspiracy theorists says a lot about the direction he will take the country in…and it ain’t good.
Amen. Pro-choice & pro-universal healthcare. Vote Trump!!
Might as well have someone I can tolerate poison me. Like a nurse putting her cleavage in my face before she gives the overgrown baby his shot.
My family doctor had a nurse whose favorite trick was to straddle my right knee as far up as she could go and squeeze her thighs tightly as she was taking my blood pressure!

Shifty have you been to the new site yet? BTW, good to see you bac . Been on a trip?
No (see my other posts), I was blocked by the web attack…..
So you’re pro Trump then?
I think he’s a vile, snake oil salesman. But, if he is the Rep nominee, at least I know that socially he is by far the most liberal of the bunch. He has also expressed interest in working with Dems in Congress, which is encouraging.
Ok, so I’m putting you in the “pro Trump” column. Very good.
Trumpcare for the win!
lulz
“It’ll be the biggest bestest healthcare of all! I’ll make everyone else but us pay for it!”
He supports immigration and foreign visas. He won’t answer Sessions 5 questions. His wife works for Goldman Sachs. He is a globalist.
Please elaborate. I support immigration and foreign visas. Are you talking illegal immigration? He doesn’t support that, but also refuses to buy into the idea of jack-boots deporting millions. Are you talking H1B visas? He has shifted on that based on principle…kinda like he did on ethanol. Candidates change positions, at least he does it on principles.
Look into his Goldman Sachs connections, no further elaboration needed.
What, a couple loans, some donations and his wife’s employer. Any proof of anything hincky?
Do we really need anything more? He is a globalist POS, same as the Bushes, Clintons, 0bama, Rubio, et al. These are the people responsible for the destruction of our country.
“I’ve also written about Heidi Cruz’s affiliation with Goldman Sachs… that she’s on the Executive Committee of that organization, not just a mere employee.
For those who at one time were worried about the North American Union – the joining of Mexico, the United States and Canada into a single nation – Heidi Cruz is listed as a Task Force member by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in its Task Force Report on the Building a North American Community Committee. Mrs. Cruz totally approves of the recommendations contained in the report: Make the three nations into a single entity, same as the European Union?” –From The Below Linked Article–
http://www.newswithviews.com/Barnewall/marilyn222.htm
I read the article. Hey, if you want to spend your time tilting against conspiratorial windmills have at it.
Don’t you have some tax returns on your desk that need doing?
Whatever you think you know about me is wrong…I have one tax return and its mine.
I posted the five questions above.
Ted Cruz refuses to answer the questions. Why?
I can’t speak for Ted Cruz. I’m just another American who supports him, not a member of his campaign staff, a volunteer or in any way associated with his campaign or a Super PAC. Weird, once you trust someone’s principles, morals and motives it becomes less necessary to question everything they do or might do. I understand the point you are trying to make, but don’t find it germane to my decision process.
The same holds true for Trump or even more so. Like he told the Pope.
The Republicans and Democrats are owned by the same globalist donors. These donors are angry because they thought they had this election fixed no matter which side won. That is why they would never accept Trump. He is the only candidate to answer Sessions 5 questions and the only one who is against colonization of America through imigration, and also against making America subject to a non-negotiable trade agreement with a foreign overseer.
Take a look at Obama and Kerry’ plans to go speak to British Parliament about the importance of staying in the EU. Why do they care? Kerry says it is of critical importance to the US. WHY?
The only possible reason is Precedent. They don’t want an example set of a country leaving the EU while they are trying to make us submit to external governance as well. The BRITS are signing a poll to keep Obama from giving such a speech. We need to realize what the Dem/Rep/Corporations have planned for us now.
You know that Trump has been a “globalist donor” himself, right?
and “the worst kind of Washington Insider” a buyer that P’wns them what gots price tags, like Bill and Hillary, Boehner, Pelosi,
Our choices are people who are actively taking donations from globalist donors/corporations and voting or using executive actions to:
1) remove borders and flood America with immigrants who have no intention of becoming American,
2)continue interventionist wars
3) inflame the American people by designating “special victims” who are more important than citizens
4)import foreign labor when our unemployment rate is out of control
5) enter into bad trade agreements that hand over our sovereignty to a foreign official
6) manipulate science to promote a globalist agenda and not tell the truth
7) won’t admit that their party and teammates are being controlled by others
Or elect someone who has seen both sides and doesnt owe anyone, understands international business, has experience as a donor corporation that is privately held and knows the system and the players, wants (in his cabinet) to bring together the top talent of both parties, and is the only one with the stated goal to rebuild America.
Why is it better to get someone who is known to be on the take and is actively selling us out?

Ted Cruz refuses to answer the five questions below and they are important. Rubio of course wouldn’t answer, The only one to answer is Trump.
“The Sessions Test consists of five questions:
Question 1: How would you vote (or how did you vote) on fast-track, and would you support or oppose advancing a final trade agreement which enters the United States into a new international commission with binding authority on future United States trade policy?
Question 2: If the vote on the Trans-Pacific Partnership were held today, and you had a vote to cast in Congress, would you vote for it or against it?
Question 3: Upon entering office, will you promptly and unconditionally terminate and rescind all of President Obama’s illegal executive amnesties – which provide work permits and entitlements to illegal aliens – including President Obama’s first executive amnesty in 2012, which remains in effect?
Question 4: A supermajority of GOP voters say immigration is too high. Every year, on autopilot, we let in another 1 million immigrants on green cards, 700,000 foreign guest workers, half a million foreign students, and 100,000 refugees and asylees. Historical precedent would be to reduce record-breaking immigration, rather than continuing to surge it beyond all historical precedent. Will you support legislation to reduce immigration numbers, and will you oppose legislation that would add to the number?
Question 5: Today, law enforcement are under increasing scrutiny and face excessive criticism from the political elites and the media, and are being targeted by criminals and terrorists. Meanwhile, since 2011, the federal prison population has declined by over 20,000, and is on track to be at its lowest level since 2005. Since 2009, the total state prison population has dropped every year, and is over 56,000 lower than it was then. These circumstances may have contributed to a nationwide spike in crime. The FBI recently reported an overall increase in violent crime and a 17 percent increase in homicides in the nation’s 50 largest cities. At the same time, the CDC reports that heroin and opioid drug overdoses have reached an all-time record high. Do you support efforts by President Obama and some Republicans in Congress to reduce penalties for drug-trafficking and further reduce the federal prison population, or do you think government should do more to keep drug traffickers off the streets?”
No hint of a policy idea in this piece. So what the fuck are the rogues supposed to be voting for?
