SOUTH CAROLINA GOVERNOR MULLING HER OPTIONS
S.C. governor Nikki Haley has told The (Columbia, S.C.) State newspaper she “may not endorse” in the Palmetto State’s pivotal “First in the South” presidential primary.
“The decision is whether an endorsement would matter, and whether I jump out there or stay out of it,” Haley told reporter Andrew Shain.

Her basic problem? She badly miscalculated the mood of her own party in delivering a broadly-panned response to Barack Obama‘s final State of the Union address.
At a time when GOP voters wanted to hear someone who shared their contempt with Washington, D.C.’s bipartisan failure – Haley basically told them to shut up and stop complaining.
Then she made matters worse by clumsily trying to walk it all back.
Haley’s full-frontal embrace of the “Republican” establishment has left her with literally nowhere to go in terms of a presidential endorsement – as all of the status quo GOP candidates are struggling to gain traction in the Palmetto State.
Four years ago, Haley endorsed former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney – which proved to be a “kiss of death” to the establishment politician’s South Carolina candidacy. At the time she backed Romney, Haley was at her nadir – polling at just over 52 percent among “Republican” voters. She has since rehabilitated her standing with the GOP electorate – although that star power suddenly has no real outlet.

Endorsing someone other than Trump may hurt her, and she won’t endorse Trump. Acting in her self interest is all she does so this is not shocking.
And I doubt he would even want her endorsement…would you?

I would avoid endorsing anyone like I would avoid the clap.
She can’t win, and she knows it. With so many candidates and how they are polling, avoiding another embarrassment would be difficult.
But because she is doing the smart thing, southmauldin calls her a scumbag.
I’ll say it once. Haley is smarter than anyone at this blog — Founder, editor or commenter. That’s why she is where she is and we are where we are.
I have to agree. After apparently having multiple affairs and siding with Al Sharpton/Louis FaraCON on taking the confederate flag down (as a first step to removing the American Flag with another liberal SCOTUS), she is still flying high=NOT! Trump ‘trumped’ her!
She is doing the convenient / expedient thing, which is par for the course.

I agree,she messed up a promising future in politics. I do not care who you are once you take sides you offend some who are already in your camp. I voted for Haley twice but no more. I see where she came out and said anyone but Trump.
I have already voted and did not vote for Trump but will support him if chosen. One thing for certain she will not get another vote of mine.
There is no clear frontrunner yet, and she only wants to jump on the bandwagon, not take a chance on endorsing a possible loser. Typical political scumbag. She could have endorsed Trump and gotten a job in his administration or a position in his business, but she had to let the state of the union response go to her head and badmouth him. Or maybe she realized that if he did give her a job, he would soon recognize that she was completely incompetent.
Then of course if Trump doesn’t win …..

and is so happy to support a candidate who will work heart and soul for the cause. I have seen tears in their eyes. We are all praying for Trump to be the nominee. If the GOP Party screws us out of our nominee they will be sorry.

for Trump Saturday. She said it was thrilling; I just watched it and Trump was superb.
Maybe this is karma. She sold the heritage and honor of our veterans out for a chance at higher office, she gave a terrible rebuttle to the state of the union address and was meant to be her sales pitch for a ride to the vp slot with Jeb or Rubio however both appear increasingly to be lame ducks. Trump will not touch her with a barge pole and who can blame him and Cruz will do well to keep her at arms length.

I was with Treasurer Curtis Loftis yesterday and in 1 hour he had 3 calls asking for his endorsement. He then cut his ringer off and the phone vibrated for the rest of the meeting. This campaign is getting rougher and tougher and there may not be anybody left standing when it is over. I will be glad when Saturday is history.
He is a big get but if he is smart he will stay out of it.
She removed the flag of our ancestors in her attempt to appease the always complaining people. This has not been forgotten, or will it ever. What could she possibly know how American’s feel about their history snd heritage ?

Don’t you just love the way all of the pundits were talking about her being number one on the vp list? Talk about out of touch. Trump is turning the GOP inside out and I hope he does it long enough to get it back to the party I joined in 1980. It sucks now.
