The testing of the kind of deployment of local LE as adjunct military forces mentioned by Paul came when the O Admin decided to use the Occupy crises in various cities for a double advantage. First, to demonstrate that there was much angst in the nation that he could exploit, and second, to put the militarized kibosh on certain groups of them to test their new fed-supplied equiptment. Hard lefties will deny this. But it exactly what the hell he did.
Didn’t Obama just issue a recall of the heavy military equipment that had been given to local police departments around the country in the last several years? Many departments are outraged, so who is trying to bring a police state again? Obama or overzealous police deparments?
