GRANITE STATERS ENCOURAGED TO “VOTE RESPONSIBLY”
We’ve written previously about efforts to reboot the “Republican” presidential primary schedule (ahem, Marco Rubio). But in early-voting New Hampshire, the message from the GOP establishment couldn’t be any clearer.
Dump Trump … or else.
“Republican” voters in the Granite State – which holds its presidential preference primary on February 9 – got an earful from the state’s former governor (and ex-White House chief-of-staff) John H. Sununu regarding their “responsibility” to vote against Trump this week.
“We must remember why we are allowed – and I use that word, ‘allowed’ – to be first in the nation,” Sununu told attendees at a presidential town hall gathering. “We are allowed because we have done a good job historically, and so we must in the next eighteen days make sure we continue to do a good job.”
“You have to go out and communicate with our friends and neighbors that a primary is not to settle internal differences within a party and a state,” Sununu added. “It’s not a get-even process. It’s not a gotcha process. It’s a process that we have a responsibility to pick the next president.”
Sununu concluded that “those of us who support the Republican Party, those of us who care about this country” had an obligation to “make sure that our friends and neighbors do it responsibly.”
Yeah …
Anybody having trouble reading between the lines?
“The short version of that is: Friends don’t let friends vote for Trump,” reporter Byron York of The Washington Observer, um, observed.
Sununu is reading straight from South Carolina governor Nikki Haley‘s Washington, D.C.-inspired teleprompter – in which the “Republican” establishment tells those of us frustrated with its policy of excess and liberal appeasement to sit down and shut up.
Not surprisingly, we disagree with this “do what you’re told or we’ll take away your primary” appeal.
Seriously … isn’t New Hampshire’s independent streak one of the reasons it was selected to play such a starring role in this process?
In contrast to Sununu’s message of conformity with the GOP’s self-serving party elites, our endorsement of Trump’s candidacy was written as a “f*ck you” to the “Republican” brand.
“The GOP can attack Trump all it wants,” we wrote. “And its minions can attack us for supporting him – just as they attacked us and called us names when we endorsed Rand Paul. But the real blame lies not with us, but with countless ‘Republican’ politicians at the local, state and national level who have spent years lying to us and taking us for granted.”
That’s for sure …
The GOP is dead. It’s as long gone as the Old Man of the Mountain (above), who collapsed from his perch overlooking Profile Lake in Franconia Notch back in 2003.

Yeh your F*** you to the Republicans was to endorse a Republican presidential candidate in a Republican presidential primary
But?
You’re not a Republican.
Makes perfect sense!
The only way to stop the Republican party is by endorsing Republicans and voting Republican every election!
You also shouldn’t vote for Trump because he’s really a liberal who’s sided with and praised the Democrats, especially Hillary and Obama, up until recently.
“We’re going to work with our hospitals. We’re going to work with our doctors. We’ve got to do something. You can’t have a — a small percentage of our economy, because they’re down and out, have absolutely no protection so they end up dying from, you know, what you could have a simple procedure or even a pill. You can’t do that. We’ll work something out. That doesn’t mean single payer. And I mean, maybe he’s got no heart. And if this means I lose an election, that’s fine, because, frankly, we have to take care of the people in our country. We can’t let them die on the sidewalks of New York or the sidewalks of Iowa or anywhere else.” Trump’s got that bleeding heart dontcha know!!!
Yep, he can do stuff. That’s the best I’ve been able to decipher out of his policies. Maybe he has a magic wand.
Yeah, I got a magic wand. It’s orange and like to be licked like a push up stick.
Yep, a real Republican would “let em die.”
I and my $55 million let people die every day.
What difference does it make?
You are right, no difference made. Trump will win the primary and will win the election, for Hillary!
I think you’re being a little optimistic, but I like that you’re a fan.
Pony up Hoss!
Aunt Pity Pat, we call her Aunt “fatback”, just had a heart attack.
I have no idea why, but I know it wasn’t her fault at a svelt 420lbs-and it’s only right that you pay your fair share for her bypass surgery.
She’s got at least another good 5 years left in her.
Trump did more for the veterans in 24 hours than all the dwarfs on FNC have done in their entire lives. Speaking of the seven dwarfs. Cruz would be Grumpy and Bush would be Sleepy. LOL
Too bad before the rally he hadn’t done much for them. He even refused a vet’s group from his hometown a donation last year. Sent them a bumper sticker though!
Yea, and Cruz has, well ??? Ok so Rubio has ???. Well Bush got a bunch killed and maimed. Oh, that was his brother. Ok well at least Rand Paul has …..Ok so none of the Republican candidates have done anything for Veterans except Trump. So what.
It’ll be better if the folks of New Hampshire vote on February 9 …….
LOL. GOOD CATCH, Shifty.
Thank you, Will ….. Chuc Mai Chin didn’t show up for work today, eh?
Only Will could support Tom Ervin and T-Rav while the GOP runs the table since 2008 and come to the conclusion the GOP is dead.A true liberal he is.
The liberal is that nut who begged Smirks to come back! LMAO!!!

I’m all for enforcing a little discipline in the Republican Party these days. Seems silly to get riled up over a speech to a room full of party regulars. The GOP Primary is wide open in NH, anyone not registered as a Democrat on Feb 9th, can vote. So it’s slightly less closed that S.C.’s. Seriously, you think anyone is going to be bullied into not voting for Trump because a speech given by John Sununu? Unlikely I think.
Endorsements are a waaay bigger deal to the endorser than the endorsed. Nothing but political masturbation. Sununu has been trying to position himself as a party elder for some time now. I guess it gives him the right to a bigger skim off the top?
How I long for the good ole days when they didn’t campaign from one election to the next.
We are about 2 months away from starting up the Mid Term Election season.
Perpetual Bullshit.
The Establishment is running scared. They understand that they are about to lose their power. If they do they will then have nothing to sell to the highest bidder. What will they do for a living if they can’t run the country for the benefit of the donor class.
Trump will be a voice for the average man. He will not be bought and paid for by the billionaires (Koch and Wall Street) who run the Republican party. No one else running can say that.
The biggest reason to support and vote for him.
So we have a former nude model as a First Lady? We’ll no longer be able to criticize the French.
As predicted, Trump loses to Cruz in Iowa. Bye, bye GOP!
We’ll see. Yet when he had to pony up some money for his vet’s rally his wealthy buddies bailed his ego out.
Get a haircut, hippy. How long you think it’ll take to build that wall? Nice dream, dude.

Trump said today that if our military vehicles are armored and hit an IED – “”they go up and down…go for a little ride.”

I had no idea it collapsed. I saw it in the late ’90’s or early 2000.
It happened ironically three after they put the “old man” on the US commemorative New Hampshire quarter.

The more the establishment asses tell me not to vote for Trump the more determined I get to vote for him. As of right now I will vote early just to make sure . I might croak before Feb. 20. By the same token , I am seriously considering working for Henry for gov. in 18. Hadn’t really thought much about 2018 till last Wed. LOL
“The GOP is dead.”
Good riddance.
Look here’s one — he’s trying out a new look today. It’s more nuanced than his usual ‘hit in the head with a frozen chicken’ look.

Two assholes loving the pork, the irony in a picture.
Folks doesn’t agree with a damn thing that Trump does (unless he’s all of the sudden super liberal and didn’t know it). This is about getting paid.
The guy is a fucking idiot and a lunatic. But aside from that, he’s a pro-universal healthcare, pro-choice, pro-tax hike, liberal. How can you support guys like Ron Paul and libertarians like that, while supporting such a died in the wool liberal? Unbelievable.
Well he is going to be the Republican candidate for President, so you better get use to it, And when he beats Hillary all you guys will act like you supported him all along.
This!

First there was the Declaration of Independence, then there was the Constitution. Now there is #TimeToGetTough. Available today.
Here’s the deal:
Notice on Will’s endorsement article he sub-titled it “Let it burn.”
You wanna know what a quasi-libertarian is endorsing Trump? Because there’s a chance he’ll destroy the two party system- sure the GOP will go to the grave, but there’s a change the the Democrats aren’t too far behind.
Sure, I know you think it’s far fetched, but when even the Koch’s jump in to try to hammer Trump you know it’s serious.
I’m sure the Folks endorsement is worth far less than he or the people paying him imagine it to be.
So do we still have to pay for Carson to have Secret Service protection? He has taken another break from the campaign. The man isn’t even in the top two anymore.
When the Republicans invited the snake handlers into the party, they lost control.
