Obama doesn’t give a shit about black folks in this country unless the Democrat Party can reap some political benefit from it.
In my opinion one of the biggest reasons is that Obama is a ‘closet’ Muslim and a majority of blacks in this country are Christian.
He seems to care more about Muslims.
The mere thought of Barrack Obama and his accomplishments probably has Martin Luther King, Jr. turning over in his grave.
If Obama ever gave a crap about the welfare of black people he would not have been the biggest racist to occupy the White House in my lifetime.

Obama’s rhetoric implies that the white man aspires to hold down the black man. The more people believe this, the more they rely of government to fix it. If Obama were a real leader who sincerely believed in MLK’s message, he would take a positive approach and not stir in up every time a white man shoots a black man.
Oh so apparently you think it is ok for a white man, and in many instances, white cops to shoot a black person? What is a leader to do, keep mum, and not say a word? A happy MLK Day to you and thanks for your inane comment.
I did not say that. However, cops carry guns for a reason. Unfortunately, they have to actually use their guns sometimes.
And thanks to wide spread usage of video cell phones, we are finding out that not all those shootings are justified.
SOME of the shootings are indeed not justified. Some cops make bad decisions and usually suffer the consequences. However to imply that there is some conspiracy among law enforcement that shooting black people is an agenda is ridiculous.
Obama’s rhetoric does no such thing. The Donald is sure doing a lot of minority scapegoating though. God forbid anyone gets upset when someone in authority unjustly shoots a person.
Obama jumps on it without taking time to know all the facts when a white man shoots a black man. That is not his job. We have a very good criminal justice system in place to discern the facts and prosecute the guilty.
It wasn’t Congress or Bush’s job to stick their nose in the affairs of Teri Schiavo and her husband either – but they did and on a bigger scale than Obama answering questions about someone being shot.
Teri Schiavo’s husband wanted her dead so that he could go on with his life and marry his girlfriend. Her parents did not want to euthanize her. In a situation like this, constituents often turn to their congressmen to intervene.
No he didn’t, but I know that’s what the busybodies want to believe. What’s laughable it is the same crowd that hollers about big government intruding into their lives, that are OK with the Schiavo case.

I think you are right. Obama saw most domestic issues through the prism of race. He started with the minor Professor Gates/Policeman episode in Boston and that pretty much set the standard for the remainder of his two terms.
He could have asserted himself to be a peacemaker in Furgeson, Baltimore, Trayvon Martin,etc., but refused to play united, opting always for racial divided.
The country, after his two terms as President is more divided along racial lines, thanks in some part to Obama.

When 62 (down from 338 in 2010) individuals have the same wealth as 3.5 billion people combined and the top 1% own more than the rest of 99% combined what do you expect? The blacks have been at the bottom of the pile forever and the income equality gap has done nothing but widen. I lost a lot of wealth in the great recession and it took years to just get back to even. So I wouldn’t expect someone at the bottom rung to be in better shape, if they had little or nothing before the crash. The richer getting richer has been going on for a long time.
The poor people of today, compared to the poor people of 100 years ago, are dramatically different here in the US.
Today poor people are fat, all of them have cell phones and TV’s, most of them cars- unlike poor people of 100 years ago.
Even if the rich have gotten richer, the lives of poor people here in the US has also gotten much better.

For the English Majors, he ya go. Pretend there is an ROI of 10%. A poor man with only $1000 will have $1100 at the end of the year. A rich man with $100,000 will have $11,000 at the end of the year. The only way to reduce that $900 gap is to confiscate money from the rich man or lower the ROI so that both make less money which in turn will lesson the gap between the rich man and the poor man.

The poor today are living better than the rich of 100 years ago for the most part.
