“Tragic” is that Obama is attempting to confiscate guns and get lists of names of people owning guns and taxation via “registration.” His gun gestapo is drawing resistance to him and the entire Democrat Party complicit in it.

That clearly equals ‘taking our guns away’. In no way whatsoever will a sensible, adult conversation about limited gun control measures be had in this country.
It is no secret that the Left hate guns. They absolutely hate the entire concept of self-defense. They want to make the streets safe for criminals. The only possible way to defend against spree
shooters is for the potential victims to be armed to defend themselves and others. As I have said before, the way to combat things like this is for carrying guns to become as common as carrying a cell phone.
Ever watch people walking around staring at their phones, oblivious to the world around them? Notice how many people are constantly dropping, breaking and losing their phones? And you want guns to be as common as cell phones? Is there anything you aren’t wrong about?
I got no issues with guns. I have issues with hundreds of thousands sold without reporting or without background checks. That’s my only issue.

Actually, in Obama’s case, it’s more like executive actions – which are unconstitutional – as opposed to executive orders, which are dictatorial fiats from the White House that at least have the advice of and blessing of the Office of Legal Counsel.
All of them do it though in fairness, Dems do seem to do it more often and use the process to take steps that would never pass the “smell test” in Congress or by the American people. O’s slightly behind the modern average per year but we’ll see how he finishes up.

To require unlicensed gun dealers to get licenses and conduct background checks on potential buyers means war… I guess.

The pawn shop owner had a Constitutional right to have as many guns as he want, so he was just exercising that right the only way he could, since he did not have the money to buy all the guns he wanted.

How is asking people who sell guns and gun shows to do the same thing as gun shops a war on guns? Hell I think everyone who sells guns should have to do a background check on the people they sell to. Even private gun owners. That is being responsible. Under current law I could take a trunk full of guns to the most gang infested neighborhood in the the state, and start selling guns to people on the street.
That is what Obama just did-private gun owners-and now the Democrat Party is finished.
