It was all an attempt to enrich himself with the campaign funds.
He gets to keep them for his own use.
Because, the 501C3 rules allowed by the crooked Supreme Court allow it.
Just criminal that the candidates can accept direct bribes as campaign donations.
As long as they are given to a PAC.
Take a second look – he can use them for political purposes but for political purposes only – besides, I think he garnered about $123.72 in donations…

In a very famous skit done on the Colbert Report TV show, a year or 2 ago, Stephen Colbert showed how this rip off is done. He actually appeared before Congress and demonstrated it. Colbert opened his own PAC. Got over 1 Million Dollars of money donated from fans to run for President as a Democrat. He showed every type of rip off involved with the process. In the end, when he had to dissolve the PAC, it allowed him to designate anyone to send the money, so he could have given it to himself. Instead, he donated the money to a Veteran’s Fund.

You can set up anything as a legal entity.
There is no way you can stop a PAC or APAC from ultimately putting the money into the pockets of the people they are set up to support. You can play legaleze all you want. But, Steven Colbert fully exposed this scam on live TV years ago.

He’s going to need it and then some if he want’s to stay in the senate. What he’ll likely do is use it to keep relevant by donating to specific causes until he steps down or get’s beaten.
He is probably leave the Senate for the next cabinet, in all likelihood, Hillary’s. If not, he will get re-elected anyway (if he runs) because only pissants will run against him, just like last time.

We have a system where pollsters, media and big money contributes are deciding who the nominees are. The nominee will prabably be decided before the SC primary.

Meh, sort of…Bush actually stood a really good chance of having the donor class push him through. It would have all happened by way of their strategy of splintering the electorate and changing the rules in each state of how the delegates are proportioned out. The rules were laid out in order to give Jeb just enough. The problem that the CoC and the donor class did not anticipate is Trump joining the race and doing so specifically with the goal of shredding the manipulations of the establishment to get Jeb through. Trust me, if there were no Trump, Jeb would be in the thick of things. Not because of the people, but because of super-PACS propping him up and propping up other candidates who take away votes from the grassroots candidates (i.e. Cruz, Carson, etc.).
The only people who thought he was still in for the past two months were him and his boyfriend. Now he can write in his memoirs about the time he ran for president… but won’t likely mention that he never got more than 1% support.
Lindsey Graham won. His issues (national security, the military) are front and center. The military sequester is history. Cruz and Paul are caving in on ground troops in Syria. Trump is more warmonger than Graham. Rubio has always been there. Carson has disappeared.
They are also supporting the NSA gathering of personal data. Victory Graham.
But none will be President.
But, Lindsey won over Hillary too. Lindsey may be her Secretary of Defense.

Yes, too many people hanging on. And to contradict my current statement, there should be competition within the the primaries, but it should be down to two or three candidates at this time. But competition from within can still leave time to attack Hillary instead of fellow Republicans.

This particular election cycle drew many Republican hopefuls into the race. Many of them had no chance at all and Graham was the least likely of of the pack.
The Republican herd needs to be thinned to the point where all the focus is placed on the Democrat nominee, Hillary, instead of each other. Having valid competition from within the the party is OK, tolerating and responding to a nuisance like Graham and the other underlings in your own party is a waste of time.
I was flipping past MSNBC today and a pollster was saying that Trump is polling very high with ‘educated’ folks.
He compared it to people that were asked about Obama in exit polling and they wouldn’t admit voting for him but did. He said add 6-8% for Trump.
Wrong! It was “uneducated folks.” And it was CNN.
