AP HONORS CLEMSON HEAD COACH …
Clemson University head football coach Dabo Swinney was honored by the Associated Press this week as its 2015 Coach of the Year – the first Clemson head coach to receive the honor and the first ACC coach to win the award since 2006.
Previously, Swinney took home 2015 Coach of the Year honors from the Walter Camp Foundation, Sporting News and Home Depot (ESPN).
“Football is a great team sport and any individual honor is a result of having a great group of players and staff,” Swinney said in a statement. “I am blessed to have student-athletes and coaches that believe in what we do. This award is a reflection of their hard work and commitment.”
Swinney’s Tigers (13-0, 8-0 ACC) play No. 4 Oklahoma on New Year’s Eve in the Orange Bowl – one of two national semifinal games in the second annual College Football Playoff. Clemson dispatched the Sooners 40-6 in last year’s Russell Athletic Bowl.
Clemson has defeated three Top 25 teams in the Associated Press poll this year (No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 17 Florida State and No. 8 North Carolina).
Since taking over for Tommy Bowden in the middle of the 2008 season, Swinney has posted a 72-26 record as Clemson’s head coach – including sixteen victories in a row (the nation’s longest active winning streak) and five consecutive seasons with at least ten wins.

Football is so gay;all that bending over and reaching between other men’s legs.JEEzus-a big gay orgy with clothes on…
That’s why they call it scoring.
HA! Just thinking about it makes may back hurt;)
And your dick hard.
They call it a game of inches. ;-)
Easy there Johnny Unitass, it’s been more than a decade since a quarterback lined up under center.
The locker room would probably be even more gay.
With all these accolades, number one ranking, two coach of the year awards, a player in the finalists for the Heisman Trophy, an undefeated season, their fan base giddier than a freshly frigged nympho, they better put on a good show next weekend and make it to the Championship game..
You got it. My sources told me the handshake above is when Jimbo told Dabo that Everette Golson would not play in the game so the ACC would have a team in the BCS 4?
A man goes into an office supply store. He asks the gorgeous blond clerk, “Do you keep stationery?” “Yes,” she replies, “that is until the last 30 seconds and then I go into a frenzy!”
“freshly frigged nympho”….?
Wait? Kind of like . . .
“Limbaughsaphatkhunt . . . ?”
:)
Man…I’m losing track of all the awards Clemson is hauling in this year. I need to start a spreadsheet to catalog all this .
Oh wait, there’s a coot in my office with a lot of time on his hands….I’ll get him to do it.
the guy can flat out recruit, and thats a huge part of winning these days in college football.
No he can’t. Yes he gets a couple of skill players each season HOWEVER take the qb out this year and Clemson goes 6-6.
Other than THAT, Mrs. Lincoln…how was the play?
You are THE poster child on how Obama got elected.RINO dipstick. :)
That must be why he’s typically in the top 10 every year for recruiting.
Since you’re throwing out hypotheticlals, how would USCe have done had their coach stayed the entire season?
I know that Ohio State won a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP with a 3rd string qb and the 4th string qb was a slot back this year despite being a Heisman candidate a couple years earlier.
I know OSU will have 5 players drafted in the 1st round and 10 drafted overall this year-most underclassmen with better athletes behind em.
Michigan State wins without Cook.Alabama wins without Henry.OSU wins without Elliot. Clemson doesn’t beat Wofford without Boyd.
You have OSU sheets on your bed don’t you… nobody here other than you gives a fuck about OSU.
I watched the USC-Clemson game.USC was a better football team-except at qb.
Yeah and the lack of a big time talent at QB is the reason they went 3-9 and not 9-3. Clemson does have a big time talent at QB and they’re 13-0. It’s a QB driven game these days. You either have one and are relevant, or you don’t and you suck.
Yeah because we know how important the quarterback is on the defensive side of the ball. Some of you idiots here need to stick to golf and tennis.
What are you talking about? What does what I said have to do with defense? Sure, defense used to win championships, but it’s a different game today. If you have a great defense but don’t have a QB, you’re not winning a championship. See the Broncos, Florida, or Boston College. Some of you idiots live in the past with regards to football.
or d-2 basketball.
Then you must be real impressed by The Citadel.
Pogo is an Ohio State fan, you know, the team that scraped by until a real team finally smacked them in the face.
Why do you assume he is a Gamecock fan?
What a stupid comment.
They would have lost to ND,FSU,iUSC and UNC for starters and been blown out by all.
And if Ohio State only had average QBs on their roster, they most definitely would have lost to VaTech, N. Illinois, and Indiana. So what’s your point? All the teams you say they would have lost to have really good QBs, too (except USC). Your logic doesn’t work. It’s like saying the Patriots wouldn’t be good without Brady or the Panthers wouldn’t be good without Newton. Who cares? They’ve got them and they are winning.
Fuck you.I have no desire to engage your sorry fucking ass.
I’m happy to wear this response as a badge of honor. I’m sure others will be happy to know that you desire to engage with them. In any case, I must have hit the nail on the head.
Yet we’re still 13-0 and Carolina is 3-9. Face it suck as does Carolina.
