FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS …
Maybe U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham was drunk during this week’s “Republican” second tier debate in Las Vegas, Nevada. Or maybe he was being clever … (perhaps too clever).
Either way, he has successfully injected filmmaker Rob Reiner‘s 1987 classic The Princess Bride into the 2016 presidential election, claiming that the movie’s heroine “Princess Buttercup” would not approve of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz‘s foreign policy regarding Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
“Ted, getting in bed with Iran and Russia to save Assad is inconceivable!” Graham said. “Princess Buttercup would not like this.”
Hold up … has Graham not gotten the memo?
More to the point: Is he really one to talk about “getting in bed with” unsavory people?
Anyway … far be it from us to question anyone invoking the lovely Robin Wright, but it is Graham whose foreign policy views are “inconceivable.” And dangerous.
America doesn’t need to invade anyone: It needs to “hit reset,” in our opinion. Oh … and use all those hundreds of billions of dollars in annual defense appropriations on things that actually defend us.
UPDATE: Here’s some mocking of Graham worth reading …

Inconceivable!
I think he reads your comments.
Him saying Princess Buttercup had me thinking he was referring to himself in the third person.
The less I know about Lindsey Graham’s personal life, the better.
Comedian James Gregory has a sign for stupid folk like the ones who keep reelecting Grahamnesty and giving him a pass
And we’ll be pinning it on every one of you in 2016 when we cash out flag-ripping SC legislators and Joe Wilson…DUMB… !!!
You keep using that word…I do not think it means what you think it means.
Undercard… kinda like underboob but with different boobs?
just sayin’
He’s an idiot…who will never be president
The first time I have ever agreed with Grahamnasty. I have wished we had George W. back ever since the motorcade took him to Andrews, Jan. 20 2009. He might not have done everything right but at least no one questioned his loyalty to our country or our service personnel.
