WILL SOUTH CAROLINA’S POLITICIANS LISTEN?

Advocacy groups are ramping up the pressure on South Carolina elected officials – urging them to reject a controversial refugee resettlement program exposed months ago by this website as nothing but a liberal, government-subsidized scam.

Take a look at their latest offering here …

Sources familiar with the campaign say these billboards are rotating at nine different locations in the Columbia, S.C. area.

As we reported exclusively back in April, previous resettlement campaigns couched as “evangelical” efforts have instead been front groups for liberal campaigns like the National Immigration Forum – which receives funding from organizations affiliated with billionaire liberal financier George Soros.  In fact one of the groups receiving funding from Soros – the so-called “Evangelical Immigration Table” – has a South Carolina presence.

Also, World Relief – a group which has ingratiated itself with several Upstate religious organizations in an effort to facilitate the resettlements – receives the vast majority of its funding from taxpayer-funded grants.

Wherever the money to relocate these refugees comes from – South Carolina taxpayers cannot afford them.

Compassion cannot be compulsory – especially when people are already struggling and suffering to subsidize a soaring dependency culture,” we wrote last month.

Indeed.  And while we understand some people are more focused on the national security implications of this debate, we maintain the real issue is one of long-term costs being imposed on people who simply cannot afford to pick up the tab.

S.C. governor Nikki Haley has been exceedingly weak on this issue.  As this website exclusively reported back in September, Haley ignored a budget proviso drafted by lawmakers explicitly forbidding the funding of such programs without an affirmative vote of the local county council.

She’s also refused to terminate the program in the aftermath of renewed security concerns.

Activists are hoping their billboard will catch her eye … and change her mind.

“It’s in Columbia so Nikki can see it,” a source familiar with the campaign told FITS.  “Maybe our governor will follow the lead of (the) Texas governor and take a proactive stance for the security of South Carolinians.”

Contrasting Haley, several state lawmakers – led by S.C. Rep. Donna Hicks of Spartanburg – have called for the program to be terminated.  Meanwhile Upstate conservative activist Michelle Wiles has filed a “cease and desist” order against the U.S. State Department.  More recently, S.C. Rep. Chris Corley of Aiken has moved to shut down state funding for the program.

Let’s hope they are successful in their efforts …

Short but sweet. The irony is in how much less visibility there was in bi and tri planes. nice alternative to the usual 3%, infidel, and sheepdog. Have a si vis pacem bellum that is my favorite.

Maybe a little of both sometimes. ;-)

“And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many locations and abundance,” says the Quran. “And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him, his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful” (Quran 4:100).

It’s simple. The “refugee crisis” is merely a tool for Jihad. Never let a good crisis go to waste, say the Democrats in American politics. And Muslims are using this one in a historic way.

But to what end? Well, if we’re to take ISIS for their word, this is all designed to enable Jihadists to infiltrate the west, help bring about the collapse of the west and establish a global caliphate.

Is Haley this ignorant? I still don’t think she believes PP performs abortions.

Haley cannot legally refuse emigrates the right to live in S.C. if mandated by the federal govt. Remember the last time S.C. attempted to buck the feds. We had to send General Sherman & his boys to make you believers. I’m warning you peckerwoods bow down to Obama.

After the worldwide violence committed by Muslims, after the controversies of immigrating Muslims filing into Western Europe by the ten of thousands, after witnessing a total lack of information that our government can gather on these people immigrating into our country, our government and some groups are demanding that we open our hearts, our wallets, and our country to these people. And they also want us to accept these people who will then shun our culture, disrespect our religions, and be openly contemptible to our mere presence.
You bet, the “Welcome” sign will be out on every corner.

They are so easy, I love pissing them off.
Any one that defends the present immigration laws does not have much solid ground to stand on
Think of what he is defending, the status quo. It is not working, needs reform. But no lefty in good standing is going to criticize the immigration these days. It would be too Trumpish.

Stickler Vertango December 10, 2015 at 2:28 pm

What Trump said should be acceptable to all for the national security of this nation:

Trump called for “total and complete” ban on Muslims entering the United States “until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.

Sounds like a plan.

erneba December 10, 2015 at 2:50 pm

“until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”
No one mentions that caveat that trump attached to his statement. It is to the Left’s political advantage to omit that part of he statement.

And most people in the US agree with Trump.

well,ok… many people brought Ford pinto’s in the seventies and were taken to the cleaners.

shifty henry December 10, 2015 at 8:35 pm

True Story: A marketing professor at Carolina was awarded a contract by Ford to survey every Pinto owner in South Carolina. This was a summer contract and the Pinto had only been sold for 24 months (I think). The prof was given 4 Pintos for the students to use during the survey. Halfway through the summer the survey was halted. Why? Because those Pintos were breaking down all over the state and there was only two available on any given day.

RogueElephant December 11, 2015 at 7:16 am

Typical Ford.

Tazmaniac December 10, 2015 at 6:07 pm

Good! Those ACA grafters need to feel some of the crap the middle class has had to go through. I must of had a fully paid for United Healthcare “Cadillac” plan because it was yanked out from under me. Maybe it didn’t cover me if I wanted a sex reassignment, had no explanation. Now I am PAYING for a crappy BCBS plan with co-pays and deductibles tripled. They say a rising tide lifts all boats but pulling the plug will surely put all of them on the bottom. And I didn’t keep my Doctor, Mr. Liar-in-chief.

erneba December 10, 2015 at 6:43 pm

Yeah, many industry pundits are saying next year is really going to be a bad year for ObamaCare. Some are saying it will completely go “bust.”
It was the worst legislation passed in my lifetime.
And it is a precursor to what the Democrats will do with control of the Presidency and complete control of the two hoses of Congress.

Tazmaniac December 10, 2015 at 7:01 pm

Well that is saying something because I’m sure we both were alive for Johnson’s Great Society “War on Poverty” BS. You know, on that last sentence, I’m not so sure. Obama, Reid, and Pelosi had a super majority and only did ACA. Nothing with immigration or any of the other dangling carrots they use to keep their base fired up. Like Republicans, they see the votes are in the promises, not the keeping them. I believe they know they have to restock their base with many more illegal immigrants before they finish cutting the cord with the Non-Government unions and sticking it to the middle class they harp on about. Being a pro democrat union guy must be a weird feeling these days. Like boiling a frog, they feel somethings not quite right, yet they continue giving their support. When they consolidate their power with new illegals only then can they start pulling rabbits out of their ass.

Will you need to post about El Chapo threatening ISIS. Maybe his cartel can do what the rest of the world can’t.

In a harshly worded email to ISIS, which was leaked by the website Cartel Blog, Guzmán sent a stark warning to ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi about messing with the cartel’s business.

“You [ISIS] are not soldiers,” Guzmán purportedly wrote. “You are nothing but lowly p**. Your god cannot save you from the true terror that my men will levy at you if you continue to impact my operation.”

Guzmán added: “My men will destroy you. The world is not yours to dictate. I pity the next son of a whore that tries to interfere with the business of the Sinaloa Cartel. I will have their heart and tongue torn from them. It looks like it’s on.”

“It would be ironic that the group who ends up taking out ISIS is El Chapo’s drug cartel!” Guzmán reportedly wrote. “They seem up to the task and it could be worth giving immunity to this guy in exchange for him and his boys taking out ISIS once and for all!”

THEY will bark at each other, but what else?
Maybe a Holy war?
Many Mexicans are Christians, worship God, and believe in Jesus being the son of the God of Abraham.
I wonder how many of the Cartel, are, Christians?.
ISIS hates Christians / hates drugs/ and dealers, and worships the Koran.
THIS is cause for a Holy War, perhaps.
2 forces, that are not American,ad America had better mind it’s own business.
This blunt discussion is between the Cartel, and ISIS.
