Anyway, as the global warming myth heats up again in connection with the 2015 Paris summit there’s a great column out from Patrick J. Michaels of The Cato Institute. In his column, Michaels points out “the abject failure of the computer models they are using as the basis for climate policy.”

“The red line is the average mid-tropospheric temperature in the 102 climate models used by the UN in its latest compendium of published scientific opinions on climate change,” Michaels wrote. “The green squares are the average of the two satellite-sensed temperature histories for the mid-troposphere. The blue dots are a completely independent measure of that temperature, which is the average of the four commonly-cited analyses of global weather balloon data. These are taken twice a day with extremely accurate sensors.”
In other words the global warmists are … once again … full of it.
“It’s mind-boggling that our leaders continue to cling to these failed models as the Paris summit stumbles to its predictable conclusion,” he added.

As we’ve repeatedly stated we believe in the Biblical notion of stewardship – in maximizing natural resources (recycling and reusing them wherever possible) and exploring alternative forms of energy creation. Additionally, we support a limited role for government in the protection of these natural resources (although we adamantly oppose the subsidization of certain sectors of the “energy economy” at the taxpayers’ expense).

But faking science (or worse) in the name of government over-regulation, unnecessary taxation and wealth redistribution is no way to protect the planet.

To hell with who can accurately MODEL what. Its the observed Earth’s temperature that is relevant. Simple stats: 2015 is about to check in as the warmest in recorded history (say the last 300 years), breaking the record set in 2014. Now how many of you can tell me the chances of that happening at random?

2015 may or may not be the hottest year, as it’s only claimed hottest by two-hundredths of a degree, but the margin of error of one-tenth of a degree, so that claim is completely meaningless. The more pertinent fact is that there has been no measurable increase in average global temperature in over 18 years.
The entire global warming scare is based on models. Every piece of proposed legislation is based on models. If all the models are wrong (and they are) then to Hell with all that proposed legislation. It’s all based on pseudo-scientific conjecture that has been proven time and again to be erroneous by actual observation.
The current average global temperature is 4 degrees cooler than the earth’s historic mean. It has been warmer before mankind was even on the planet. It has been warmer before mankind started burning fossil fuels. It has been warmer when CO2 levels were far lower than now. CO2 levels are far higher than they were 18 years ago, yet the average global temperature has remained constant.
Bitch, moan, complain, threaten, meet in your luxurious confabs around the world, plot the demise of the capitalist West or fail miserably at your fantasies of world domination — the earth will warm and cool with or without you, just as it has the last 4.5 billion years.

Anyone with more than a couple of brain cells that are connected to each other and reality knows this scam has absolutely nothing to do with weather.
This is all about getting more government into your day-to-day life under the guise of saving our planet from a warming weather phenomenon that is yet to be substantiated will real evidence. Al Gore getting up and spewing invectives against non-believers is not proof of “Global Warming.”
The national governments of many nations and that includes the united States wants to start cranking out laws and regulations that will increase the controls on our lives. And in the end we will be regulated and taxed to oblivion while the weather varies as it has varied for eons.

It is so hard to tell the bs from the truth for the average joe like myself. The Cato Institute is biased towards conservative causes so hard to accept at face value what they say.
The Cato Institute is self-proclaimed libertarian. You can’t just dismiss “at face value” the things they say just because you are not a libertarian (I’m not, either). You can dismiss them if they are wrong. That’s the only criteria that should be on your radar. They are far from hacks for any side of the political spectrum. They march to the beat of their own drum. Sure, they have their biases just like we all do, but that doesn’t mean that their research is wrong or the conclusions of their research is wrong.
Not sure about self proclaimed libertarian but they are funded by the Koch Brothers who make their money in large part in fossil fuels so it is hard to say they are unbiased. I would generally believe the scientists at NASA over commentators for a political think tank.
If they are funded by the Kochs, for real, there is nothing even remotely libertarian about them. Rather, they should be viewed as doing all they can to shoe-horn crony capitalists dogma into libertarian cant.
