PALMETTO STATE STILL HAS LOWEST PRICES IN AMERICA
The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in South Carolina currently stands at $1.93 – the lowest mark in the United States (beating Alabama by a penny). That’s essentially unchanged from a month ago – and way down from last year’s $2.67 mark.
It’s also below the national average of $2.19 – which is down from last year’s $2.91 average.
Obviously, that’s good news … but low gas prices have not sparked a consumer renaissance (certainly not in dirt poor South Carolina). That’s one reason we object to proposals to raise the state’s gasoline tax.

According to another site, Gas Buddy, prices in South Carolina are averaging $1.97 per gallon of regular unleaded – although some locations feature prices as low as $1.79.

The EARLIEST retirement age of 62 was reached in 2008, Bush’s LAST full year in office, for just ONE of those years. Coincidentally, the Stock Market crushed that same year.
Anyone born in 1950 or before is now at LEAST 65. Many that turned 62-65 as Obama took office, postponed retirement until their Retirement funds recovered, which they now have.
Look at the chart on this link and see that Bush-43 had barely any job creation in EIGHT years. Under Obama more jobs were created in his FIRST TERM than in the entire Bush-43 Presidency.
In just TWO YEARS of Obama’s second term, 800% more jobs have been created than during Bush-43’s ENTIRE term.

It is very clear that gasoline prices are generally lower, the closer the retailer is to a pipeline tank farm(Belton, Spartanburg). The Palmetto pipeline would have tank farms near North Augusta and Savannah which would be a benefit to South Carolina consumers. This does not even address the environmental and safety advantages to pipelines
