ONE DAY …
One of our “Republican” readers sent us a message this week saying we’d been too hard on Paul Ryan – the liberal “Republican” who was elected Speaker of the U.S. House last week thanks to a bunch of caving “conservatives.”
“Read this story on his tax reform plan,” the reader told us, referring us to a piece appearing in Politico.
Ok …
Well, we did read the piece – which concluded that Ryan would make tax reform a priority … in 2017.
“Sweeping tax change won’t happen this year, supporters say, with lawmakers still staring at a stack of unfinished business – or next year, when the 2016 election will loom even larger,” reporter Brian Faler noted. “But they say it’s suddenly a lot more likely in the early years of the next presidency, especially if the Republicans win the White House.”
Really? Last time we checked “Republicans” taking power has made absolutely no difference in Washington, D.C. If anything, it has facilitated the radical, anti-freedom, anti-free market agenda of U.S. president Barack Obama.
The U.S. Congress needed radical, transformative change. A fundamental reorientation. Instead it got the establishment’s hand-picked leader … courtesy of a bunch of “conservative” squishes who now wish to be taken seriously again on fiscal issues.
Um, no. But hey … their anointed leader is going to make tax reform a “priority.” Eventually.
Sort of like all the new government debt “Republicans” agreed to back in 2011 will be eventually be matched by spending cuts. Except no … not really.
And now we are rinse-repeating that cycle …

Hey FITS…Ryan told you and Obama to cram your illegal migration bullshit up your ass. I bet that has to have you pissed with him…
Y’all thought you were getting Boehner II. But Ryan slapped the shit out of you…that has to smart..Dumbass.
LMAO! LMAO!
Dude, slap the shit out of me next time we meet up in Florence! I love that!
LMAO!
Paul Ryan already has. You liberals have been whining all day long about Ryan’s refusal of Obama’s voter registration-giveaway project for illegals…
Sucks yto be , you Dumbass.
Yes! Yes! Give it to me Big T!
Slap the shit out of my ass! Make me scream in fecal ecstasy!
Ann Coulter must be a ghost writer for FITS. Maybe her Obamacre can take care of that Adam’s Apple. Anything to make a buck!
Superfly was surprised when Coulter spelled “Obamacare” as “Obamacare”–it really, really watered his eyes
And when Superfly dropped out of Remedial English and went on SNAP and Section 8–no one was surprised !!!
I know, I know, keep your gubment hands off of your disability check. Recent reforms of disability insurance will prevent claims like yours, i.e., mental defect due to trailer park incest, from paying off going forward.
Yo…SC U.S. House delegation (except Jeff Duncan) remember your gutless butt-kissing of RINO Boehner and now of RINO Ryan?
Don’t look now but those tattered, bleeding rear ends you see ARE your own—and the Tea Train that’s rolling over you is the lion !!!
Ryan’s Tax proposals are nothing more than a rehash of the last 30 years. They are not reform in any form or fashion, They are tax breaks for the wealthy in exchange for cuts to programs benefiting the average American. A double down on trickle down, that the Republicans already doubled down on under Bush. The only difference is this time Ryan proposes to cook the books to make his cuts look as though we can afford them. He proposes “dynamic scoring.” That is the name he proposes to give to made up numbers that show his tax cuts will produce more revenues than the cuts themselves. i.e. more repeatedly disproven Laffer bullshit.
In the end, if he gets his way we will face huge deficits, that we will have to pay for with more cuts to average Americans, more cuts to Social Security, more cuts to Medicare, more cuts to education, more people unable to afford even moderate health care. In short the final nail in the coffin of the Middle Class. And what will Republicans propose then? Well more tax cuts for the Koches and their billionaire friends. After all that is the only way to get America back on its feet.
No thanks!!! We have had enough of that crap.
William actually thought “if Ryan gets his way we will face huge deficits”…defying gravity and reason–everyone asked…how?
You see William comes from three generations of entitleMENTS and sees no problem in 18.5 TRILLION in deficits NOW !!!
I have never received a government payment of any type in my life. Unlike most to the tea nuts. I have never worked for the government, received a welfare check, or social security. I work hard and I pay a lot of taxes. That said we cannot solve our 15 trillion dollar deficit overnight. We have to focus on reducing and eliminating annual deficits. Our annual deficits are way less now than they were under Bush. If we return to a reasonable tax structure where the wealthy pay their fair share, we can begin running annual surpluses to pay down the deficit the way we were doing under Clinton. But that is not a plan you wingnuts understand. You are so duped by all the right wing bull shit you listen to that you don’t have a clue what you are talking about.
The proof is in the pudding over the Bush tax cuts. They were followed by a record 52 straight months of job creation, producing 8 million new jobs, with the unemployment rate falling to 4.4%. Business investment spending, which had declined for 9 straight quarters, reversed and increased
6.7% per quarter, producing all those new jobs.
Because of that increased investment, labor productivity soared by 2.5% annually from 2003 to 2007, higher than the averages of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. As a
result, real after tax income per capita increased by more than 11%.
This was mostly the opposite of what President Obama has produced, with his neo-Marxist Obamanomics, particularly unemployment more than twice as high, declining middle class incomes, soaring poverty, weak job growth, stagnant stock market values, collapsing business investment, and negligible growth in GDP.
And—that’s right–Willan all you OTHER Obamite all-day suckers—this does not even include the abysmal collapse
that Obamacare has—you got it—begun already !!!
More utter bull shit. The average American has not had meaningful inflation adjusted wage increase since 1980, except briefly during the late 1990s. And the Bush Administration was a disaster for the country. We were losing 500k jobs a month by the time that imbecile left office.
All of the income gains in this country for the last 20 years have gone to the top 5% of earners in the country. Everyone else has remained stagnant. You guys just make crap up and use statistics that are meaningless to the average person. The middle class is dying and Republican feed the rich policies are killing it, We will all be better off if we stop worrying about Charles Koch’s tax bill and start focusing on reviving middle class America. That means world class infrastructure, world class education, world class health care, and a reasonable safety net that allows the average American to take risks without fear of living in poverty when he or she is too old or too sick to work.
Tax cuts do not pay for themselves at current levels. We are no where near the bend in the Laffer curve. You can pretend to the contrary if you want, but most families know they have been going down hill since Reagan. These charts show what has happened to the middle class in this country.

Ole William and Sic Semper were always in bad temper–posting here and always getting handed their heads
After Obama’s 18-TRILLION-plus in debt on three generations…they AND their Dim candidates were DEAD !!!
TROLL ALERT !!!
TROLL ALERT!!!
TROLL ALERT !!!
Didn’t you hear him? Record job growth. The crapitalists can hire more plebes if the plebes collectively make less every year. That way we all suffer together! Hooray!!!
Nice try Ranger. Your guy Bush Damn near destroyed the USA.
`
I have never seen so many lies in one place.
So name the republican conservative saviour ?
???
“We have had enough of that crap.”
Until America is smart enough to vote these fuckers to the unemployment line, we really haven’t had enough of this crap.
Refresh me.
Isn’t this the guy who took the still born baby home so the other children could play with it?
No.That was Biden sucking his dead sons dick to try and get elected President.
I believe you are talking about Rick Santorum. Ryan was the running mate of Romney.
Ryan did say this about taxes, “I don’t have the time. It would take me too long to go through all of the math.” -Paul Ryan, when asked to explain Mitt Romney’s tax plan and the claim that it would bring lower tax rates for all Americans while remaining revenue-neutral, Fox News interview, Sept. 30, 2012
Thanks!
Asking a Republican to do math is gotcha journalism at its worst, damned liberal mainstream media!
No, like Bill Clinton said, it’s arithmetic that gives them problems.
“Last time we checked “Republicans” taking power has made absolutely no difference in Washington, D.C.”
That’s because you and your ilk do not understand that compromise is the ONLY way to accomplish anything in government. Duuhhh. Never took a history or political science course, eh?
Study how the US Constitution came into being and you just might get it and understand how the Founders intended the US government to function.
But, that’s not what you want because as a Libertarian, you are actually a part of an anti-American, anti-majority rule, anti-democracy, authoritarian, fascist cabal that wants its own way at any cost to the country and anyone who doesn’t buy what the Kochs are selling.
A guy was explaining to me why it is confusing to discuss his financial situation with politicians. “I used to think I was poor. Then
they told me I wasn’t poor, I was needy. Then they told me it was self-defeating to think of myself as needy. I was deprived. Then they told me that underprivileged was overused. I was disadvantaged. I still don’t have a dime. But I have a great vocabulary.”
