GLOBAL INTERVENTIONISM RUN AMOK … AGAIN
U.S. president Barack Obama will send American troops to Syria as “military advisors” – the latest escalation of a proxy war in the Middle Eastern nation.
The move comes a year after warmongers in Washington, D.C. called for “boots on the ground” in Syria, where president Bashar al-Assad is fighting against various Islamic coalitions – including troops loyal to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
In fact, the warmongers told us not long ago that America had to either invade Syria or face a nuclear attack.
Thankfully, there was no invasion … but “war gods” like Lindsey Graham and John McCain were successful in supporting a bunch of radical Islamic terror organizations. And pumping in tons of U.S. weapons. And since then, things have only escalated further …
And now there really are “boots on the ground.”
How many boots? And how long should we expect them to stay there?
“We have no intention of engaging in long-term, large-scale combat operations the likes of which we previously saw in Iraq and Afghanistan,” an unnamed administration source told ABC News.
Yeah … right.
Wonder how long that restrained rhetoric will last after the first American “advisor” gets blown to bits?
America is escalating in Syria because our “partners in peace” in Saudi Arabia are demanding it … not because Washington, D.C. is waging war against ISIS.
If anything, we created ISIS …
Also let’s not forget it is widely believed that Saudi Arabia was really responsible for at least some of the chemical weapons attacks in Syria that have been pinned on Assad’s regime. Meanwhile Russia is supporting Assad because it doesn’t need Saudi oil.

our military knows that if one of our pilots currently bombing isis were to be shot down and captured, he or she would be filmed in a cage being burned alive, there were boots on the ground to prevent that before the first sortie was flown.

Obama will eventually find some way to mangle and contort this “advise and assist ” mission into a “diplomatic mission.”
In fact, this is a combat mission, limited and highly directed, but still a combat mission.
Something that will cause him a great deal of consternation when the reality grabs him.
As an aside, I wonder how many terrorists, that have been released from Guantánamo Bay will be over there “welcoming our troops back to the Middle East.”

Yeah, nature abhors a vacuum That’s the reason Russia is setting up operations in that part of the world. They know there is not a gonad hanging around on any part of Obama’s body. So, therefore, they have a free rein.
He withdrew our influence from that part of the world and we will pay the price for years to come. But, hey, very few cowards have started any wars, maybe that is his objective.

You can be assured that these aren’t actually the first troops in country (just the first publicly acknowledged ones). In regard to the number of operatives in theater, a tipping point exists that will make it just about statistically certain that an American military service-member will be captured eventually. I’ve been out of the game for a few years so I don’t profess to know the ground truth in Syria these days, but I know that we just inched a little closer to that tipping point. The punchline there is that once Joe Lunchbox, the People of Walmart, and the US populace watch one of our soldiers beheaded or burned alive on YouTube, the conditions have been perfected for the War Hawks to swoop right in and buy us another unnecessary war in that thoroughly shitty part of the world. Just something to think about…

i’m still up in the air on this one Corruption, with russia pretty much giving iran unlimited backing industrial and military, containing them may be the best long term strategy, either way this is gonna be a case of making the best of two bad choices.

Hasn’t there long been a desire to put an oil or gas pipeline across Afghanistan (and then Pakistan)? Haven’t some big money boys been salivating for this for a while? Or maybe it is geopolitical to get oil out of “the stans” and away from Russia. There is probably more than ‘saving Afghanistan” or fighting ISIS.

As a country, and with Obama as the Commander-in-Chief, this operation has the possibility of going off track quickly, especially if Russia sees this as an opportunity to embarrass the US and Obama. Not saying they would instigate any conflict with us, but they are in a position to make our effort much more tedious.
As Obama has proved in the past, he does not think well on his feet, the Iranian deal, the Berdaghl affair, the Moscow meeting with Putin, etc..
Sometimes, one thinks Obama acts hastily, and usually with emphasis of protecting his image, without his heart being in it.
