ONE-TIME TAXPAYER HERO HAS SOLD OUT TO WASHINGTON’S STATUS QUO
The sad, stunning shift of South Carolina “Republican” congressional delegation from conservative champions to status quo hacks took another huge leftward leap last week …
We’re referring, of course, to the “conservative” endorsement of another liberal -“Republican” Paul Ryan – as the next U.S. Speaker of the House.
You know, this guy …
Leading the “conservative” charge for Ryan? South Carolina’s own Mick Mulvaney. Not only did Mulvaney vote for Ryan on a secret ballot of the so-called “House Freedom Caucus,” but he used his influence within the group to sway others to Ryan’s side.
Sound familiar? It should.
This is the same crap Mulvaney pulled back in January – insider moves that helped reelect liberal U.S. Speaker John Boehner. It’s also the same crap he pulled this summer during the debate over “Obamatrade.”
We called Mulvaney out on both counts … but it’s clear at this point he hasn’t learned his lesson.
At a time when America needed the U.S. Congress to undergo a radical, transformative change – Mick Mulvaney handed over the keys of the “conservative” kingdom to the GOP establishment’s hand-picked goon.
And another sellout – U.S. Rep. Mark Sanford – went along with him.
We’re sure Mulvaney has an excuse. In fact we’ve become all too familiar with his excuses.
But he wasn’t sent to Washington, D.C. to bend over for the status quo and make excuses – he was sent to Washington to change the culture, to stop the excess, to stand up for taxpayers and to stand against the radical agenda of Barack Obama.
That means never supporting “Republicans” who kowtow to that agenda …
We’re used to watching the GOP establishment sell out to the Washington insiders. That’s why we gave up on the party years ago. But this latest development – of “conservatives” caving to the GOP – is simply intolerable.
And Mick Mulvaney has become the poster boy for that betrayal …
Beginning with his career in the S.C. General Assembly back in 2006, this website has expended considerable bandwidth praising Mulvaney – and bashing his enemies. And based on his first two terms in the U.S. Congress, we believed he was the sort of leader who could drive the GOP to the right in Washington – while emerging as a long-overdue prospect for consistent, conservative leadership at the statewide level in 2018 and beyond.
No longer …
Mick Mulvaney has crossed the rubicon. Like so many other former taxpayer heroes, he has become the embodiment of everything he was elected to defeat – everything he vowed to defeat.
Shame on him. And shame on anyone who continues to fall for his excuses.

They are like milk. Left out, they “turn” very quickly and must be thrown out and replaced periodically. Mick should be ashamed of himself for selling out the people he purports to represent.
He served his purpose in replacing Spratt, a POS who the voters allowed to hold that seat for far too long. I hope the voters in that district are smarter now and don’t allow Mick to hold that seat as long.
Guns kill, people don’t. Sarc
????
Had to edit, sorry
I don’t know if Fitsnews is planning to cover the shooting incident at the SC State Fair or not, so I’ll hijack this thread for a moment and post my own musings regarding that incident.
I wonder if SCSF and RCSD will now be “trying harder” to prevent recurrences of this incident by more dilligently ensuring that CWP holders, as well as retired and out of state LEO’s, are not armed when coming into the fair, even though no one from these groups are likely at all to have been involved in last night’s incident. Oh, and let’s not forget senior citizens with pocket knives. If they had just been a little stricter on those guys, no doubt, this wouldn’t have happened.
Another “Gun Free Zone = Safety” myth bites the dust!
It was just a hoax. Just like you say Sandy Hook was.
Right? Tell us more about these ‘fake’ shootings you claim to know so much about.
Mornin’ flip.
Not flip/GT/pogo or any of his other plethora of profiles.
So, tell us more about your stupid theory that Sandy Hook was a hoax.
That is what you *giggles* believe, right?
Yes, I believe Sandy Hook was a hoax. Now, please tell us about how you believe it was real, despite NUMEROUS inconsistencies which point to a flawed fabrication. Tell us how the MSM is always right and always truthful. Tell us how you believe the likes of Brian Williams or perhaps, Geraldo.
There we go, moron. It definitely happened and there are mountains of documentation from numerous law enforcement agencies to back it up. What do YOU have? Are you saying the first responders are liars? Have you spoken with the victims’ families? Are you saying they are liars?
No, your gullible ass watched some bullshit videos and visited some retarded conspiracy sites. How stupid are you?
First responders? I’d love to interview them. Funny how there seems to be a dearth of EME paramedics who were actually there.
Have you ever heard of HIPAA?
You really, truly are a gullible moron.
Yes I have. The info released has to be identifiable to the patient/person concerned. You really thing they would ask EMS that kind of info?
EMS is beholden to HIPAA. They can be fired for violating it just like a nurse or doctor. EMS being silent on the matter isn’t a cover up. It’s business as usual.
Don’t tell me you think Sandy Hook was a hoax too. Or is this the same dipshit?
Let me ask again. What info do you want from EMS. Names and friggin’ addresses?
Say, is Planned Parenthood beholden to HIPPA?
Yes, dumbass.
Easy counselor. Just asking.
Then why did the State of Texas ask PP of patients names and addresses? That is, since we’re on a small HIPPA roll here.
Apologies for calling you a dumbass.
HIPPA allows law enforcement and government agencies to ask for patient info in the investigation of a crime, based on the assumption that the prosecution is based on probable cause and initiated in good faith.
Based on Texas’ previous attitude toward Planned Parenthood, this may be resisted in court. Time will tell if any patient info is leaked by Texas authorities, and if so, will they be charged?
So right. I just had a hard time imagining why they need to know patient info to conduct such an investigation. Typically that is redacted in a release of info. But, if your goal is patient harassment with the goal of shutting down PP, then I see why they would ask for that. Since governments can’t tell states who they can and cannot give Medicaid $$ to, this sounds like such an end run to me.
I don’t want personal info. I would like to know numbers. Details. Facts. Perhaps falsehoods that may be revealed by such an interview.
“It definitely happened and there are mountains of documentation from numerous law enforcement agencies to back it up.”
It definitely NEVER happened and there are mountains of FALSE documentation from numerous law enforcement agencies to back it up.
There, I fixed it for you.
I’m not sure I go all the way on the Hoax part, but I will definitely agree with you that it did not happen the way the gummint tools say it did. There are, literally, thousands of pages of conflicting information – so much so, that I quit reading after a week or so (I did read the big bits). But that’s enough “did not happen” for me. Facts and all government seem to be drifting even further apart, these days.
Hey, dummy. Guns, espically hand guns, are designed for one purpose, and one purpose only.
To kill.
There goes your “guns don’t kill people….derpity derp” myth.
A Gun killed me today LOL.
I disagree,
AFAIK, nobody was killed at SCSF last night. I guess all of my guns are faulty, as none of them have killed anyone, jackass.
I’m sorry. Are guns designed for some other purpose?
Paper weight? Help with feelings of inadequacy?
They are stricly designed to kill living things, ‘hoaxer’ fool.
I guess you never heard of recreational shooting, dumbass? Self-defense, even if it involves killing, is a legitimate use of guns. Too bad the 76 year-old grandmother in RC didn’t have such means to defend herself from the recently released ex-con who strangled her to death and tied up her grand daughter, last week. Some people, like the ex-con, need killing.
Right. Guns are strictly designed to kill. Thanks for backing me up on that one.
Go back to O-Fucking-Hi-Fucking-O Flip.
I saw plenty of guns at the fair. They were being carried by cops. I never saw one of those guns kill anyone. There is a gun by my nightstand. It never even moves. It must have been the person that brought the gun in to the fair that used the gun to kill someone.
Hammers don’t drive nails-People use hammers to drive nails.
Cars don’t drive drunk- People get drunk and drive cars.
Guns don’t kill people- People use guns to kill people.
Why is it that when a drunk driver kills someone we blame the operator of the car instead of the car. But when someone is shot and killed we blame the gun instead of the operator of the gun?
Congrats on a fine combination of a variety of types of reductionism. Now, go for the exception proves the rule and your almost home–to being a full blown shill for the gun industry.
Better to shill for the gun industry than to shill for those that want to abridge our freedoms.
Your freedom? I’ll reframe: you shill for the gun industry who has no problem “explaining” away thousands of needless, tragic deaths each year. And you help them do that. Next time a little kid blows away his brother or sister or an innocent bystander or takes a loaded gun to school, you explain to the parents how your notion of freedom is more important that their child’s safety or life. I’m sure they’ll understand
People die every day. Gun deaths are statistically very unlikely to occur. I’ll explain it to the family, but I doubt they’ll like the way I explain it, because if I don’t know the decedent I really couldn’t care less.
How many gun deaths do you think are acceptable for you to exercise your freedom. What percent of those could be children to be OK?
So now we get to the heart of the matter: If I don’t know you–screw your right to LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit…Not that that is OK, but at least you admit it. So many other gun industry shills try to wrap their moral failings by wrapping the issue in lies, the flag, and The Constitution
When gun deaths exceed automobile deaths, adults or children call me. Until then gun control isn’t about guns or lives it’s about CONTROL.
Guns rule !
It’s good to know that you have high moral standards. Can you sing the Sesame Street song, “One of these things is not like the other”? I know you can. It’s also good to know that you have a high tolerance for other people’s pain and suffering. You should call your tribe “The YOYOs” cause if you’re not from our tribe, then you’re own your own, mofo.
Are you fucking retarded? Seriously?
Let’s wait till millions and millions die every year until we do barely anything about gun deaths? That’s your answer? It’s about saving lives! Are the people of Australia in any way less free than us? No. Now go hug your precious gun and let sensible people lead the way.
They more fondle their guns than hug them.
They caress them lovingly and stick their tongues in the chamber.
Hmm… I never saw anyone do that and I have a lot of friends who are gun owners. Please enlighten us as you sound like someone who has been there and done that.
The right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. What part of SHALL NOT do you not understand. The number of deaths are statistically insiginificant but you idiots don’t understand that. You gravitate to a totally emotional naritive based on “for the children” yet you support aborting millions.
What part of “A well regulated militia, being necessary…” don’t you understand?
Statistically insignificant? Whoa there big fella. I didn’t know you were citing research. Tell us the studies and sources. And after that, explain to us the difference between statisticly significant and substantively significant.
And, you have no idea what my views on abortion are. But, if you would like a parallel reply, I would wager that you are against abortion but support the death penalty. So I ask, are you pro-life?
Most of the recent mass murders have occurred in “gun free zones” (schools and theaters). The criminal element choose these places as targets because law abiding people are vulnerable there. If those areas weren’t “gun free” then chances are that several people there may have been armed and capable of saving innocent lives by taking the life of the killer.
Chances are what? Exactly, or as close to it as you can get? And how representative are these incidents with the incidents in the total number of gun deaths in the US.? Context matters. The mass murders are OUTLIERS statistically and you have to be very careful when you try to generalize a conclusion on outliers.
Yet you guys arebyhe ones crapping your undies whenever there is a mass shooting. So which way are you going to play it. Please choose one, but not both.
How many of the murders in this country are committed by criminals using guns in an illegal manner? How many murders are committed by law abiding citizens using guns in a legal manner?
Good question. How about the people who kill themselves? Are they criminals? And what about the people the first time they commit an offense with a gun (first time offenders). Prior to that, they are not criminals. Is the child who shoots someone a criminal before that? How about accidental shootings? Once again, how many of these types of injury and death are OK for you? Who is paying for your sense of security?
Very few. And from 2008-2012, 32.9% of victims (of justifiable homicides) were known to the shooter. So much for the “bad guys carrying guns” argument.
Inrygi????
Right wing paranoia. I say again, you have a high tolerance for peoples’ pain and suffering. Your willful ignorance is impressive. “What suicides, what accidental deaths, what children being shot by children? I don’t see anything.” Or even the “I don’t know ’em so I don’t care. They’re not in my local tribe/clan”
And because you like to drive you choose to explain away thousands of motor vehicle deaths a year.
Er, sorry, but noting that your argument has logic problems is not “explaining it away”. I suspect in your world introducing facts is also “explaining something away”
Let’s try again. Once more with feeling. Why do handguns exist? How many person/miles are driven each year in the US? In how many trips (of any time/length in time and miles) are made in a year involving how many people?
Guns are designed for several purposes. Hunting and defense are the two predominant ones. They do have an offensive capability but it is up to the owner of the weapon to decide how to use it. People need to be held accountable for deciding to use a weapon for offensive instead of defensive purposes.
Motor vehicles are designed for the purpose of transportation/ recreation but when they are used irresponsibly then the person that does that needs to be held accountable.
A significant part of that offensive purpose is directed at themselves or intimate partners
Can you name a single gun that has ever loaded itself, walked down the street and shot and killed someone with no assistance from anyone?
If your answer is no then you are a shill for the liberal democrats that want to follow in Hitler’s steps and disarm the public. You choose to do that by demonizing the gun instead of the people that use them.
Why do you want to disarm law abiding gun owners that need guns to protect themselves from non law abiding gun owners?
Crap. You gave me another reduction (to absurdity) instead of an exception proves the rule. Dammit! I could have sworn that was your next reply. Ah, the Carson Hitler bullshit story. Actually, Liberal democrats would want to follow in Australia’s footsteps with gun safety. We’d also love to have their gun injury and death rate. But for you gun crazies, no amount of death is too much for your “freedom”. Your freedom to stand by and watch thousands of Americans die needlessly because to do something about this public health problem would be, in your eyes and heart, tyranny.
More people die from traffic collisions, assaults with hammers, knives, and other items than they do by assaults with guns. Why aren’t you trying to ban those items?
Because those items aren’t specifically designed to kill other people.
Guns are. Is everybody in SC this dumb?
What an item is used for isn’t relevant, it’s what it is used for that is relevant.
Exsqueeze me?
I guess in all the excitement you forgot whether you fired 5 shots or 6.
Nice try. Next time you try to lift a right wing talking point, at least steal it accurately. That claim was about RIFLES. If you’re going to lie, at least don’t make it so easy to check.
// Can you name a single gun that has ever loaded itself, walked down the street and shot and killed someone with no assistance from anyone? //
Gun robots, gun drones, give them 10-15 years.
And guns in drawers don’t keep bad guys away. Why are you so afraid and insecure?
I have no qualms about taking the gun out of the drawer and using it, if need be.
I had a friend who talked like you once.
He’s dead now.
Somebody shot him.
Was he armed when he was shot?
Yes. He had 2
Then he had the ability to save his own life but failed to do so.
I guess he should have redirected the shooter to someone else, as in the case of Ben Carson’s (“you want the guy behind the counter”) heroism in Popeye’s–after he said that the victims in Charleston were responsible for their own deaths because they didn’t do anything to fight back. That’s like claiming to be a tough guy then under threat yelling, “Do what you want to the women, but leave us alone”
BTW, look outside. You’ll note that this is not the Wild Wild West, where the good guy always draws faster and shoots better than the bad guy.
No. It is not the Wild Wild West. The unarmed man isn’t given free passage. People are shot in the back. People don’t call you out before they shoot you. The criminal element is worse now than ever before, That is why law abiding people must be prepared to defend themselves and allowed to possess the tools to do so.
What do you base that claim on, “the criminal element is worse now then ever before”? That is patently false. You are basing risk assessment on false information.
Citation please?
The ” Wild, Wild, West” as you call it wasn’t as wild as people think. Armed men prevented much stupidity from occurring.
I rest my case. Also, try edgefield co in the early parts of the 20th century
No, in this world, the good guy doesn’t always draw faster and shoot better. That said, I am considered a better than average shot on timed courses of fire I partipate in, each year. I would rather have the means and the option to protect myself from criminal attack than to be empty-handed and disadvantaged in such a confrontation.
So I guess it’s his own fault?
As bad as it might sound to you. Yes. He had the chance but was too stupid to use it.
OK, I got it. If you’re too stupid to carry, then you’re too stupid to live, right? BTW, you’re right. Your answer sounded very bad.
Sadly, that seems to be the lesson reality visits upon many people, each year, many more times than people are struck by lightning. I don’t wish to be taught thatclesson, therefore I carry.
Didn’t address that. I asked why you’re so afraid and insecure that you overestimate risk in your life? Is it part of your tribal belief system about the nature of the world? Or, Faux News’ view? Why do you let others convince you about the lies about the world?
I don’t live in fear. I live prepared for the possibility.
And what do you assess that possibility to be? Don’t say “enough to keep a gun”. Go with this. A 1 in 100 risk? 1 in 1000? 10,000. How does that compare with the risk of being struck by lightning?
I read about a lot more deaths at the hands of criminals than I do of people struck and killed by lightning. To the families and friends of people such as the 76 year old grandmother, strangled to death in her home in front of her 8 year old grand daughter, the odds don’t seem so remote. Ditto the msn in Aiken County, murdered as he hrld and shielded his tiny daughter, earlier this month.
I didn’t say “struck and killed”. I said struck, which you are unlikely to read about. But, if you would take a minute you could easily find claims as to what those odds are. Instead, you chose to relate outliers in the total number and types of gun deaths each year. I know you remember those because they are vivd memories that support the beliefs you already hold: that the world is unsafe and unpredictable and that you need to be prepared for those kinds of situations. So I am back to my original question. Why are you so afraid and insecure?
Do you have a spare tire in your car? Do you have a fire extinguisher(s) in your home?
If so, might I ask the same (stupid) question of you, regarding your “insecurities”?
I drive my car daily on roads with lots of foreign objects. We have electric appliances and cooks with oils and flame. And if I use them there is about zero chance that somebody will be hurt, maimed, or killed accidentally.
“Struck and killed”, “struck and injured”, tomatoe/tomato…
The same standards apply. Moar people killed or injured by criminals than killed or injured by lightning.
I didn’t ask you whether it was more or less. I asked about how MUCH more or less. No wonder you sucked in school
A gun is like a parachute. If you need it once and don’t have it you probably won’t need it again. It only takes once, weather it be once in a hundred or once in 10,000,000 once is still once.
Very well put, Rogue!!!!
So ALL or even most encounters with bad guys with guns results in death?
The possibility exists. Only a fool is un prepared.
Why do you have such disdain for those who choose to keep the means to protect themselves and/or others from criminal atrack? Is it part of your CNN view? Why do you say such stupid stuff?
Because it involves a cost for others, to include the public. Like the motorcycle helmet law, it’s argued that it is your freedom to choose for yourself, but it’s a false argument because it’s not just about you. And, if you’d be willing to require X amount of training for all gun owners and have guns registered, then you may make some inroads in improving public safety and public health. But ANYTHING that is proposed to reduce consequences for others is attacked with an American flag, hyperbole (like any measures to ensure safety and accountability are “gun grabs”), conspiracy theory, and framed as threats to freedom, rights, etc
Ah, thank you for coming out and admitting you are one of those who need Nanny Government to protect you from yourself. Not content to just live and let live, you want NG to guide you and protect you from your own misdeeds, and do the same for us all.
Gotcha, now.
Maybe you can explain the nanny govt part. Care to elaborate?
What, the apparent need some (perhaps too many) seem to feel that we need to have government protect us from ourselves at every turn? The apparent need to have government tell us what we can do, how we must do it, and when we can do it, for fear that we might damage ourselves without the all-seeing, all-knowing, wisdom of goverment oversight?
Can’t make much of that broad, sweeping generalization
We do need some process that minimizes consequences for the public when people make bad choices or are victims. I’m not so worried that you damage yourself so much as the cost of that to your family and loved ones and the public; or now, the other people in your insurance plan risk pool. And, let’s say your workplace knowingly had asbestos insulation and you develop lung disease. Under your scheme, the govt answer is “…tough shit. We’re not your Nanny”. That’s why there’s a place for tort law.
When the government knows where every gun is, and who owns it, then the next logical step is Australia or England. Gun confiscation then complete government control. No thanks. I’ll take my chances.
BTW, Australia and England didn’t confiscate guns. That is not the next logical step. That’s the next paranoid step. Nor do they have “complete government control”. Nor was Jade Helm 15 a rehearsal for same. Except in your mind.
“Why do you have such disdain for those who choose to keep the means to protect themselves and/or others from criminal atrack?”
Because that is what keeps him from enforcing his stupid views on you my friend.
You tell em’ there Braveheart. FREEDOM!!!!
… and there are (to paraphrase the old joke) some people out there “who need killin'”.
and to paraphrase , we are a government of laws, not men
John Adams
… and SC laws clearly recognize the right of a person to defend themselves, family, or others, with deadly force under various circumstances, as do most states.
So? It’s just the bar on that differs from state to state. Like in FL, where you just claim that you feel threatened. And it’s not the Wild Wild West? Please. Historically the South was (and is) an “honor culture” in which if your honor was offended, it was OK (and sometimes applauded) to shoot/kill (or cane) someone. Look at any honor culture and you will see extreme levels of violence. Back in the day, Strom’s daddy was in the square at the county seat. Another man started talking some smack to him. Daddy reached into his pistol pocket, which gentlemen had sewn into their jackets, drew his pistol and killed the man. Result: no problem for daddy.
Gun free zones are free fire zones for criminals. Nothing more and nothing less. A gun is nothing more than a tool. When used properly it dose a given job. When used improperly it can do harm. News flash— so can a hammer. So can a knife as we have seen in the middle east. If you notice, those Christians that were beheaded didn’t have any guns. That ought to tell you something. But some people are so brain dead that it doesn’t matter. They will blame an inanimate object and give a criminal another chance.
Can anybody here tell us who a ‘real’ republican is?
Anybody? One name will do….
Uh, Trump?
Nah, he’s the democrats’ greatest ally.
Are you really one of those people who thinks Sandy Hook was a hoax?
Sorry cola I disagree. A unicorn I think.
Oh crap. You really think it’s just a made up story that all of those children were murdered, so the government can take your guns? You realize guns sales have actually gone UP since then?
I’m not telling you what to believe or not believe, but Sandy Hook definitely happened. That ‘hoaxer’ stuff is lame and very, very disrepectful to the families that lost their children.
Maybe the hoax is disrespectful to those who know or should know better.
http://fellowshipoftheminds.com/2015/08/19/sandy-hooks-dead-school-principal-interviewed-about-massacre-one-day-before-the-massacre/
Why were children there if the school was closed that day, and had been for quite some time?
http://fellowshipoftheminds.com/2015/09/09/sandy-hook-hoax-6-signs-that-school-was-closed-before-massacre/
Dude, you can keep all that silly nonsense. There is zero tangible proof that Sandy Hook was some kind of ‘hoax’. Don’t be an idiot. Get up, step away from the internet, go outside and talk to some real, living breathing people. You’re embarrasing yourself.
So where is your “proof” that it did happen, other than you regurgitating faulty claims in the MSM? You are now grasping at straws in a feeble attempt to “discredit” my beliefs. Run along and play in traffic, little troll. I have to go and take care of some pressing errands, so I can’t play with you any longer.
That’s all you have. A misguided and false ‘belief’. It’s not on me to prove an event that undoubtily happened…happened. It’s funny you would harp on the MSM while believing anything you see on the internet. You realise that sounds incredibly dumb, right? Anyways, go take care of your ‘pressing errands’. You should share your ‘beliefs’ with some actual, real people while you are out. I’m sure it will go well for you.
Does that fellowship include common medications that you all should be taking for delusions?
So you admit children were there. It’s a start. Don’t worry.
There’s help for you yet. Visit this page daily. They’ll clear it all up for you.
https://www.facebook.com/Sandy-Hook-Hoaxers-Are-Not-Bright-153577141458477/
I admit no such thing. I asked why children were (woukd be) there (in the first place) if the school was closed and had been for some time.
Nobody can name a ‘real’ republican? Not one single person?
No wonder the GOP is toast. They can’t even agree on who or what a republican is.
No one will think and act the way we want them to all the time. That is selfish. I think Mich is a logical thinking person most of the time and does a good job. No one knows the enter workings of Congress because of its size. I submit regardless of who we put in there someone will not be satisfied. We all have become to opinionated and want our way. The Internet has finally separated us us from reality and we all are Monday Morning Quarterbacks and I doubt any of us could do better under the circumstances. Mulvaney is not in my district but he is better than my Rep.
I think they call that ” Freedom “
I wondering where people think they are going to find a politician that they agree with a hundred percent of the time? Life is a constant series of compromises without politics.
DAM good post. A party needs to understand that and move forward.
“Life is a constant series of compromises without politics.”
You don’t mean it?
Who woulda thunk…that politics is no different than anything else in life?
The entire Libertarian/right wing of a major political party doesn’t believe that. It can’t be true.
And, when we look at where the anti-American, anti-Constitutional (including the history of how it came into being), anti-compromise movement got started, it’s right here in SC with Dementor Jim DeMinted…so, we will likely be slow to give up that Lost Cause as we have been to give up the one from the 19th century.
Demented is now being called a traitor and rino. According to Louie Gohmert, Demint and Newt were behind the scenes pressuring the HFC to vote for Ryan. The far righties will never accept that they are a minority in this country. But I will say all the scorn being heaped on Mick, Demint etc.. is deserved. They riled all their supporters up with crazy ass promises and conspiracies for years – so the chickens have come home to roost.
Will, that’s the best opening statement ever in my life. !!!
Funny, a libertarian website telling a Republican how to be a Republican. That’s like a white guy telling a black guy he’s not black enough.
This is a libertainian website?
Looks and reads like just another typical republican blog to me.
That’s how Mr. Folks portrays himself, as a libertarian.
Sanford, Haley, Trump.
Yeah, doesn’t like a republican at all.
There’s a difference.
?
Drinks !!!!!
In his defense Mr. Mulvaney is very responsive to his constituantes both on Social Media and via email. He has a online town-halls / Q&A sessions at least once a week and listens to the voters of his district. That being said his district is much more SOCIAL CONSERVATIVE than fiscal conservative. The voters in district five generally care more about having the government enforce their view of God, Church, Jesus. They could really care less about the budget most of them gave up on that years the budget ever being balanced. They actually support more money for social programs such as bringing in poor Somali immigrants and housing them here so they can hear the Good News.
Mick is responsive locally, but pursues the Northern elite GOP agenda nationally. I’m deeply disappointed.
Ok. Mic Mulvaney and the “Freedom Caucus” refuses to support Ryan on the full House. Ryan is not elected. Then what? 40 votes can block Ryan. 40 of the other 200 Republicans can block any candidate they support.
The most important thing is CLEMSON #3 AP poll.
It was 2015 and South Carolina’s gutless RINO members of the RINO U.S. House were partying well
They’d ALL (except Jeff Duncan) voted for Obama-Door-Mat-Boehner
to blow conservatives to…
This dishonor roll of gutless, lying scumbags included Trey-Sure-I-Gave-Obama-Fast Track-Gowdy to start
Then there was Mick-What’s-In-It-For-ME-Mulvaney who piled on conservatives to play his back-stabbing part
And let’s not leave out Tom-Sure-I’m-A-Flaming-Lib-Rice who’d sell his grandma’s jugular for personal gain
And who can forget Mark-I-Walked-Out-On-My-Wife-And-Four-Sons-Sanford—serial adulterer with no brain
Rounding out this cast of dirtbags is arrogant flag-ripping I-Lie-To-Conservatives-Joe Wilson himself
Doesn’t give a *amn about NOT letting YOU vote on the flag because he IS a RINO Lilliputian elf
So these RINO scum are STILL betting on the come by voting for FELLOW RINO Paul Ryan as well
Let-In-30-MILLION-MORE-Illegals-Ryan…meeting back-door with Obama—telling you to go to…
But then 2016 rolled in with a roaring Tea Party win and all of the above RINOs had to leave town fast
Don’t look now you ingrates but that political fire you smell burning?…the last of your gutless RINO… !!!
Friday on Mick’s Facebook he changed the conversation about Benghazi to the collapse of the SC healthcare Co-op. Still hasn’t done the follow-up he suggested he was going to do…pretty sure he never will. Then today after taking heat about his voting for Ryan, he’s done another sleight of hand by posting about ISIS killing Christians and Jews. He always lets his followers know when he is going to be on TV and posts videos of his interviews or congressional hearings….But not a peep out of him about his role in the PBS documentary on immigration.
Didn’t I see him the othe week on a Frontline documentery doing a town hall in Spanish, apologizing to the upstate illegals for not getting immigration reform passed this year? Yeah, I did. I remember because his Spanish is actually pretty good.He even has a Spanish tutor.

I love all the Republican dissension, proving over and over it cannot lead the nation and should quickly flush itself down the nearest toilet to save us further pain. What a f****ing joke the GOP is.
Mulvaney won with the support of the Tea Party who he is betraying with his pro-amnesty and pro=Syrian acts. All we get is excuses and bullshit and repeated quotes of bleeding-heart ignoramuses who think that DHS can magically “vet” Syrians who spent their entire lives under the Assad government and have no records to check. Even if they did, that doesn’t have anything to do with their militia/tribal/political allegiances. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/10/28/conservative-review-editor-how-did-open-borders-mick-mulvaney-appoint-himself-spokesman-for-conservatives/
Mulvaney is pure RINO which is sad. He is tactically conservative on trivial issues while catering to the old Northern elite GOP on anything to do with getting even cheaper labor to compete with Americans. I understand farmers need Mexican workers because Americans do not pick crops, but instead of funding refugee care in the Middle East he wants to bring them here despite no practical way to filter out jihadists. He doesn’t put the public first. The only way what he is doing makes sense is to support a gubernatorial bid in SC where he can leverage voters by pretending to be conservative while pushing Democrat social agendas. http://www.teaparty.org/numbersusa-president-paul-ryan-terrifying-open-borders-seeps-every-pore-124210/
