WHERE WAS SOUTH CAROLINA’S SENATOR ON CRITICAL IMMIGRATION VOTE?
“Republicans” in the U.S. Senate needed sixty votes this week to advance a bill by U.S. Senator David Vitter cracking down on “Sanctuary Cities,” or municipalities which refuse to enforce the country’s immigration laws.
They didn’t get them …
One “Republican” (Illinois’ Mark Kirk) voted against the bill, while another – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham – did not vote.
Vitter’s bill would have blocked specific federal funding from states or cities which refused to turn over immigrants who are in the country illegally. It would have also imposed a mandatory minimum jail sentence of five years for immigrants who re-enter the country after having been previously convicted of an aggravated felony.
Where was Graham? We know his joke of a presidential campaign completed a ten-day swing through New Hampshire last Friday, but where was he Monday afternoon during the U.S. Senate vote?
Good question …
U.S. Senators Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida – both of whom are running legitimate presidential campaigns – managed to find the time to vote for Vitter’s bill. So did U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky.
So again … where was Graham?
During a rally in Anderson, S.C. earlier this week, GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump told a crowd of 7,000-8,000 people that Graham needed to stop campaigning and “go home and better represent his own people.”
Indeed …

Lindsey read your headline about Charleston “Is Charleston Ready For An Openly Gay Mayor” and had to do some research in the Holy City – imagine his surprise when he discovered it was a woman you were talking about…
I am not a fan of Graham HOWEVER do you have proof Graham is gay or have you morphed into the Boz and living in conspiratorial falsehood fantasy land?
Proof? No, do I even really care? No. Today is “conference call day” and I’m just being a smart ass to stay awake.
Why not sleep until the call comes in ?
I’m participating in the calls (sort of)
As one of those that is well versed in the game of conference calls, participating (sort of) translates in to listening to people drone on about nothing and hoping to not be called. It also translates in to maintaining mute button discipline and not blurting out “this could have been handled by email”.
I just got done screaming into the phone that they’re asking me to sell cars without telling me what makes and models are available. My higher ups have changed the programs that are being offered without telling anyone they have changed them.
Republicans are scum. We don’t have to sleep.
They are all in it for themselves! Both Parties, don’t give a rats rear about the people. It is a means of raising funds and building a great pile of money, getting rich off the taxpayer, nothing more, nothing less. Everything they do is all about them.

In a stall somewhere tapping his toe?
Why would I vote against sanctuary cities? There’s convenience in not having to score house boys from Jamaica but instead cultivating our own base of young men/boys that are desperate to make a few bucks while pleasing me.
Our Nancy-Boy is more of an ass-to-mouth politician…
