Establishment “Republican” Jeb Bush will travel to South Carolina this weekend to participate in a town hall event hosted by U.S. Senator Tim Scott. You know … he’s the U.S. Senator from South Carolina who is currently not embarrassing himself on the national stage. And not missing key votes.
Anyway, Bush will appear with Scott at Bishop England High School (363 Seven Farms Drive) on Daniel Island this coming Saturday (October 24) at 8:40 a.m. EDT.
After a stint as one of the early frontrunners in early-voting South Carolina, Bush is drawing the support of only 5.7 percent of Palmetto State “Republicans” – according to aggregate polling data from Real Clear Politics.
That puts him in sixth place … behind Donald Trump (33.7 percent), Ben Carson (18.3 percent), Carly Fiorina (7 percent), Marco Rubio (6.7 percent) and Ted Cruz (6.3 percent).
“Right to Rise” – a super-PAC supporting Bush’s candidacy – has been running a barrage of television ads in South Carolina looking to boost Bush’s numbers.
Will it work? We’ll have to wait and see …

I hope Senator Scott knows that he can damage his reputation by hanging out with people like that.
ditto
He’s hosting town hall forums across the state with all of the GOP candidates – he’s not endorsing any of them.
Yawn. I thought Jeb would be somehow a strong candidate. But it’s like he doesn’t even want to be out there. His brother, and Obama, and Bill C, they always seemed energized on the campaign. Jeb looks like he wants to take a nap. His shoulders always hunched over. His whole body language screams – “this sucks. I wanna go home for taco night.”
Maybe if Jeb Exclamation Point doubles down with his line about how his brother kept everyone safe to the SC Republicans then he can get a mention in news. I hope Tim Scott will get him to comment about how well the Gowdy Commission is going.
Will the Energizer Bunny be there to provide Jeb! with the needed energy?
