GAMECOCKS-WOLFPACK TO PLAY IN CHARLOTTE IN 2017
The University of South Carolina will renew its rivalry with North Carolina State University (NC State) in 2017 – the first meeting between the two programs since 2009.
According to a news release, the Gamecocks and Wolfpack will face off in the 2017 Belk College Kickoff Game at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. That game – like this season’s 17-13 Gamecock victory over the University of North Carolina – will be hosted by the Charlotte Sports Foundation (CSF).
In addition to this game, the University of Tennessee will face West Virginia University in 2018 and the University of North Carolina will face University of South Carolina in 2019 and 2023 (as has been previously announced).
South Carolina enjoys a 27-26-4 all-time mark against NC State – a team it played annually (with one exception) from 1956-1991.
The Gamecocks and Wolfpack have played just three times since then, though – the most recent meeting resulting in a 7-3 Gamecock victory at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh, N.C. The previous year, South Carolina trounced NC State 34-0 at Williams-Brice Stadium.

This is great news for NC State. Their out of conference schedule is ranked nexted to last in the FBS just above Charlotte who is just joining the FBS. Troy, E. Kentucky, Old Dominion, S Alabama. A real ACC embarrassment.

Before the wise cracks — Yes, their conference schedule is even weaker.
Another powerhouse game for USCe… was Benedict College booked that weekend? Wouldn’t Dirtpecker fans rather see a legitimate team like say Notre Dame, Air Force, etc… than a glorified junior college team? How about USC vs USCe?
Clemson is starting with Kent state in the same year FYI, why not Bama again? Quit being a crybaby hater tater
