RENEE ELLMERS “UNPREDICTABLE BEHAVIOR” MAKES HER UNFIT TO LEAD ON ABORTION ISSUE
It’s been a bad month for U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers of North Carolina. This liberal “Republican” – one of many in Washington, D.C. who does the bidding of the status quo – was embroiled in a major scandal earlier this month when it was alleged she had an affair with U.S. Rep. Kevin McCarthy.
And while it’s unclear whether this was a post hoc ergo propter hoc situation, McCarthy immediately dropped out of the race for U.S. Speaker.
Anyway …
We’ve long known Ellmers was insufficiently conservative on fiscal issues, but according to a leading pro-life group she’s also not suitably conservative on social issues, either.
According to the Susan B. Anthony List – a leading pro-life organization – Ellmers should not be appointed to a select panel tasked with investigating Planned Parenthood, the government-subsidized abortion provider implicated earlier this year in a gruesome fetal body parts scam.
Why not? Because earlier this year, Ellmers came out against legislation that would have banned abortions after the fifth month of pregnancy. Her defection on the issue contributed to the bill being pulled for lack of support.
“Rep. Ellmers comments earlier this year led to the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act being pulled from consideration on the eve of the March for Life just as hundreds of thousands of pro-life Americans – mainly youth – poured into the streets to protest abortion on-demand up until birth,” a release from the Susan B. Anthony List stated.
The release added that Ellmers “unpredictable behavior would make her inappropriate choice for this important appointment.”
We agree.
Ellmers is the prototypical two-faced “Republican” politician – running mail pieces in her conservative district touting her pro-life credentials while turning around and caving to the abortion establishment in Washington, D.C.
Now that there’s an abortion-related scandal promising all sorts of national attention, though, Ellmers is tripping over herself in an effort to land in the limelight.
Let’s hope she is unsuccessful in her efforts …
“There is no shortage of outspoken and determined pro-life members who would be well-suited to serve on a newly created select panel investigating Planned Parenthood,” the Susan B. Anthony release added. “Congresswoman Ellmers should not be on the committee.”
Indeed …
Nor should any lawmaker with a demonstrated history of selling out the most fundamental right we have in America: The right to draw one’s first breath.

another pay for coverage article. U suck Fits…. U really suck
Lazy thinking on your part. Just dismiss those you disagree with by claiming they are paid. Don’t try to challenge their possitions.
I’ll show you how easy it is. Whoever paid you, wasted their money.
…yawn…
Tell us another Waffle House story or a fairy tale about faux curfews in Lexington County.Or another politician that didn’t write his gas mileage down or bought a slurpee and didn’t save the receipt.
That will wake us up. :)
Ah, as I suspected, you are my little shadow troll. Mornin’ flip!
Morning.Na.I ain’t as smart as that other guy.May be pOgo.Trump has em all fucked up,doesn’t he? :)
Politics is always fought on the margins. I’m not familiar with Rep. Ellmers, but the hearings with Planned Parenthood head Richards were a disaster for the pro lifers cause. A bunch of Republicans were playing to their base and not taking the opportunity given to persuade those on the fence. Nothing is gained by preaching only to the chior.
There are few opportunities to move public opinion on an issue like abortion and all the Republicans seem to be interested in is those who don’t need any convincing.
Oh.I guess that is why PP folded like a tent on selling baby parts? PP wouldn’t have done that if they didn’t have a public relations disaster that was going to lead to defunding in 2017.
Is that you Boz? Sure doesn’t sound like Thumper.I bet if Haley was asking the questions it would have been a great hearing? :)
Planned Parenthood folded because of those people in the middle. You despise them more than you despise PP, but those in the middle are the ones who decide elections. PP did not double down. They strategically gave ground. The Republicans made Richards look like a victim to many on the fence. That’s sickening to me, but that’s what Republicans did.
Who told you those in the ‘middle’ decide elections?Sorry pal.Voter turnout of the BASE of a party decides elections. The Christian Coalition (Falwell/Reed)elected Ronald Reagan 2x by bringing 6,000,000 NEW evangelical voters to the polls.
Biblical Christians elected W.Bush and along with the Tea Party gave the Republicans huge political gains since 2008.
Sounds like you despise Christians? Why so angry at the people in the trenches fighting this fight? Shit I think it drives you crazy that Will is pro-life-just because of the Haley thing.Get over it.
It’s the economy stupid. That’s what drives votes. I wish it was different, but I face facts and try to win. I’m not satisfied by saying I am ideologically pure, but a loser.
Liberal socialist and Clinton supporter James Carville said that. Some fact to it it.Not as much anymore.
Obama changed the rules with his assault on the Constitution, the Christian faith and his attempts to destroy the social, moral and cultural norms this country was founded on.
Only ONE issue is important in this election and why Trump is doing so well=IMMIGRATION.He has been able to tie illegal immigration to jobs, trade, crime and foreign policy in a way the voters can understand.
Think outside the box once in a while. Not everything is statistics.
Blacks and Hispanics elected Obama-NOT those of YOU in the ‘middle’.
Blacks and Hispanics only represent about 20% of the electorate. How did Obama get to 50%?
30% liberal socialists.Obama got almost 100% of the black vote and 75% of the hispanic vote.
Only way you defeat that is not running RINO’s like McCain and Romney and get the Biblical Christian conservatives out to vote.
It is turn out of the BASE that is important-you moderates are irrelevant.
Let’s say your right. Sometimes Republican stupidity like Todd Akin activates high liberal base turn out.
Thanks FitsNews for your stand on life issues. If a mother can legally kill her own child-what can be next? The devaluing of human life in the womb has led broken homes, rape, incest, infanticide, mass murders of students and made our urban areas look like war zones.
Is Ellers insufficiently predisposed to serve on this panel?
Yo…North Carolina voters–on Renee RINO Ellmers–stay closer to her than you would to any of your sisters or your brothers
Then in 2016 board that long Tea Train and let’s do to scumbag Renee what she and McCarthy have been doing to each other !!!
