The University of South Carolina football team picked up its first Southeastern Conference victory of the 2015 season on Saturday – defeating Vanderbilt 19-10 at Williams-Brice Stadium.
This was no ordinary win, though … as South Carolina took the field for the first time in more than a decade without Steve Spurrier. The legendary head coach resigned last Tuesday, and athletics director Ray Tanner decided to hand the reins of the program over to offensive line coach Shawn Elliott on an interim basis.
