DESPERATE TIMES …
|| By FITSNEWS || Wisconsin governor Scott Walker – one of the early “Republican” frontrunners for the presidency of the United States – dropped out of the race this week.
Then he called on others to quit with him …
“I encourage other Republican presidential candidates to consider doing the same so the voters can focus on a limited number of candidates who can offer a positive conservative alternative to the current frontrunner,” Walker said. “This is fundamentally important to the future of the party and – ultimately – to the future of our country.”
The current frontrunner, obviously, is the guy whose meteoric rise turned Walker’s early frontrunner status into burnt toast: Donald Trump. In fact Walker is the second establishment “Republican” to be consumed by Trump’s insurgent populism.
Here’s the thing, though …
Trump didn’t kill Walker’s candidacy: Walker did.
More than any other member of the GOP field (save Rand Paul), Walker entered the 2016 race with the ability to define himself as an ideological alternative to the establishment frontrunner, former Florida governor Jeb Bush. Even this website – which loathes cookie cutter politicians – viewed him as one of the few candidates we might consider supporting.
At virtually every turn, though, he chose poorly. Or vacillated. Or looked downright ridiculous.
Walker also wildly embraced an especially sanctimonious strain of social conservatism – a.k.a. the preachy moralism that turns voters like us off. In short, he ran as an establishment candidate.
Donald Trump didn’t doom Walker’s candidacy: Walker did.
In fact the only reason Trump exists as a force in American politics today is that elected officials like Walker have miserably failed when it comes to boldly taking the right positions on a wide range of issues.
So don’t blame “The Donald.” Walker’s political death – like the death of his party – was entirely self-inflicted.

Good article, Will!!!! Reading this, I am allthemore happy to see this RINO drop out. Like Fiorina, there has always been something about Walker, lurking below the surface, that made me distrustful of him. Here’s hoping Walker stays gone and many more of these spineless RINO clones of each-other drop out, too. Then, hopefully, we will see President Donald Trump in office in early 2017.
Walker bashed the fucking unions you suck off is what is Lurking. And he kicked the Democrats that control you to the curb THREE times.
If you don’t want a Conservative, keep voting Democrat. Stay the Fuck out my party.
But Walker’s instruction will either Drive Trump more to the right where he BETTER solidly be – or it will lead to a Conservative getting the nomination, and the White House.
Fuck you if you can’t handle that.
Hi GT. FYI, there are no conservatives in the GOP running other than Trump. The rest are RINO clones of each-other who will flip on whatever position they claim to have today, like a click beetle that someone placed on its back.
Hasn’t Trump flipped quite a bit himself over the years?
Yes, but he now comes across as far more genuine than his opponents. I elieve he is leveling out
“Leveling out”!?! Trump is a manic depressive/bipolar therapist’s dream case.
You stand on so many different sides of issues YOU are one to talk!
You and Rocky get a room and figure out how to get the American Flag down next, Professor RINO.
I’ve been pretty clear from the beginning – Trump is no conservative and he has had so many different positions on the issues that he might as well be a footwear store at Myrtle Beach.
You keep asking he same stupid questions.
Why is that a stupid question? The original poster brought up candidates “flipping positions”, but gives Trump a pass on doing the very same thing on a slew of issues.
You ask it every fucking day! NOBODY CARES!
And, that is precisely the issue. You SHOULD care. While it is certainly not as productive as trolling under a thousand usernames, obsessing over someone’s mother-in-law, mocking children & spewing profanity, I think it is a valid question.
Like Trump-you attack me and I attack back. You PC liberals mock and make vicious attacks on people of faith and many of them are personal. You are used to trying to intimidate those you disagree with into silence. Not me.
Can’t handle it stop posting and get back to fucking work.
Your question has been answered a THOUSAND times. You just don’t like the answer.
So much hypocrisy in this comment that I don’t even know where to start…
He’s not just mocking people’s family and kids, he’s mocking dead children. Some of the stuff he’s written about Biden’s kid is really just sickening. This guy claims to be a Christian too.
I hope he never has to go through watching one of his own kids die. That is something you don’t celebrate happening to another person, no matter how much you don’t like them. No one should have to bury their kid.
Please. The attacks on Christians (read the Duggar or gay marriage threads on Fits) are vicious, personal and profane.
You can give it but ya can’t take it. Biden? I think it is sad he is apparently using his dead son to make a decision on running for President.Even going on late night comedy shows and crying. Then the next day he at a union event or some such attacking Republicans and calling them bigots. Not the first time Joe has tried to deceive the voters(see plagerizing).
Sounds like you can’t take it.
Since when has Biden attacked someone when they were mourning the loss of a family member?
Who the hell are you to accuse him of playing on sympathy instead of showing genuine emotion?
How does Duggar being exposed as (his words) ‘the biggest hypocrite in the world’ have anything to do with Joe Biden?
Biden is a lying plagerizer and loser-reminds me of YOU!
Your knowledge of all things political rivals that of….really nobody I can think of…cause you are so damn stupid and uninformed…
We laughed our asses off at you in November of 2014 and will do the same in 2016.
WOW, a super bad day !!!
GAWD, SHUT UP ALREADY, YOU ARE MAKING ME LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT. DOES IT LOOK LIKE I NEED YOUR HELP DOING THAT?
Trust me, mama don’t have to make you look like a idiot.
Yeah nobody cares if trump flips. as long as he consistently hates the darkies.
Anyone looking for a conservative candidate cares:
Abortion – first he was for it before he was against it (actually he’s flipped on this one more than once)
Taxes – in ’99 he called for a one time 15% tax on anyone with assets of more than $10 million, then he supported Bush’s cuts, now he says hes supports a slight graduated system of less than 15$ with the elimination of corporate and death taxes.
Gun control – he sort of supported it, then supported it (particularly the pointless assault weapons ban) – now he says he’s vehemently pro gun.
Health care – he’s been everywhere from pro single payer Obamacare to “I think it is (health care). . .an entitlement to this country, and too bad the world can’t be, you know, in this country. But the fact is, it’s an entitlement to this country if we’re going to have a great country.” Now he wants to repeal Obamacare.
Social Security – privatize it, no, leave it alone…
Come on.
Thank you!
Well done liberal.
You are correct about ALL except Rubio and Cruz. Rubio learned his lesson on the Gang of 8 as a young senator.
Immigration is driving this election as TRUMP has successfully tied the economy, trade, crime and foreign policy to this issue.
Rubio and Cruz have to do what Trump has done and SHED the establishment label(they are both brilliant).
Conservative Christians are solidly Republican, they are also fierce traditionalists who feel that their values are increasingly under assault by modern society.TRUMP gets it.Rubio and Cruz had better jump on board.
There is no such thing as a Conservative Christian Republican. Geezz
You’re a fucking idiot. Go back to the Democrat Party.
Trump can win if he RESPECTS Conservatives. But if he adopts your Liberal-Tarians Bullshit ideology, he’s toast.
Liberal-Tarians! I love it! I’m glad he’s back to using his old mannerisms!
You are correct about Trump. The BASE of his support now is Christian conservatives. They will pull out quickly if he pulls the “Liberal-Tarians’ on em.
“So don’t blame “The Donald.” Walker’s political death – like the death of his party – was entirely self-inflicted.”
Fits only interest in Trump is trying to destroy the Republican Party.Fits failed.
The Republican nominee will be much further to the right than McCain and Romney on immigration and fiscal/social issues.A WALL will be built and the border closed. No Amnesty or path to citizenship for decades.
I agree.Trump has done a great service for the GOP.He has been able to say things that a majority of Americans think but are afraid of saying for fear of bring labeled a racist and bigot. Rubio and Cruz need to find their voice and learn a lesson from Walker’s failed campaign-losers like Jindal,Haley and Graham need to shut the fuck up.The attacks on Trump within the GOP have been way to personal.
A Republican will be in the WH in 2017.Lets make sure we pick the RIGHT one, :)
Looks like more clouds comming your way.
I’m just saying don’t bash Walker. He’s a good man. It’s just not his time.
To attack him for admitting it’s not working is the work of Democrats. Walker kicked their asses. For that I’m grateful.
Walker deserves his due. And so does Trump. I’m going to defend both for their attachment to Conservatism.
Good points.Walker is a good man.He made a mistake and tried to run as a moderate-flip flopping on many issues. He figured he would be the alternative to Jeb on the left and Rubio/Cruz on the right.
Political winds were all wrong for that strategy.
Fuck you, Mr. Lawrence. Fuck you all the way up your ass… take your medicine while you’re at it.
He gets off on that ass-fucking talk, you know.
I think we all know that GrandTango guy and flip are just liberals pretending to be hateful conservatives. I’m glad guys like you are here, those leftist plants pretending to be Republicans are really making the rest of us look bad.
GOP Unity Pledge holding on line one, Guvnah.
I was going to betray the GOP anyways, but it is nice that they gave me a reason to now.
Even if the GOP wonder twin powers activate into the form of a giant douche nozzle and wash away Trump from the GOP, they’ll have slit their own throat by making it personal and losing by driving Trump into a 3rd party run.
It’s all delightful.
He won’t run 3rd Party. However I am certainly glad we are weeding the ‘weak’ candidates out EVEN if they are great conservatives.
Be interesting to see.Like Trump and would vote for him IF he is nominee. He moved the Republican Party to the RIGHT on important issues.
He deserves a ‘fair’ shot and losers like Jindal and Haley need to STFU.
The GOP chose to get in bed with and court the white bigot vote. Hasn’t worked out for them and now they have a giant, ignorant Golem of their own making holding them down. The GOP has given up on 2016. Trump is just doucheing the crazies for them.
I thought the GOP controlled the senate,house,34 governorships and 70% of state legislatures (BOTH chambers)?
Appears to me all is working out just fine.
And, the country is going to hell in a hand basket. Thanks, GOP!
Obama is playing dictator with illegal E/O’s and destroying the nation.
We will get it straightened out.
And Obamacare continues to get funded, and is expanded to 17.6 million Americans. Hurray for our team.
serious question, now that all these people that signed the GOP unity pledge have dropped out of the race and gone on record saying that they wont honor the pledge, is trump still bound by it? can the RNC prevent him from running as a third party?
Who would be the judge in such a case. judges are politicians themselves and have an immediate bias for or against the RNC.
If the establishment party wants to regain the support that Trump has taken from him then they need to do several things.
1) Realize that the 3 non politicians are leading the race for a reason.
2) Speak from the heart and not give “coached” answers.
3) Explain to the voters why Trump is wrong and why he will unable to lead the country.
4) Find a way to make the voters believe that they can do a better job of running the country than Trump would.
5) Make the voters believe that if they are elected that they will keep their word and do what they promised they would during the campaign and stand up for conservative beliefs.
The last one is the most difficult because the voters are tired of being lied to by politicians. We don’t believe them anymore and we are willing to place our hopes in Trump, Carson, and Fiorina. The democrats have a similar issue with Hillary and that is why they are flocking to the virtually unknown Sanders. They know that they can’t trust Hillary so they are placing their hopes on a guy they have never heard of.
You usually spew diuretic bullshit, but this time you’ve hit the actual truth. Will wonders never cease?
Very good, I think you expressed it well and I would like to add a couple of secondary thoughts.
I believe that voters want to be for something and not against someone. Instead of talking about how bad things are, we want to hear about how we can make them better for everyone. …”How was an electorate stupid enough to fall him so long?” was the implied question that does not bode well for future harmony within some factions of the party.
The debate taking place in the Republican party today is not focused on [Ronald Reagan’s] optimistic view of America. Instead, it has degraded into personal attacks. That may be necessary to clear the field of some candidates that could never win the general election, but it tends to taint the party now with some residual effects.
If you don’t like Trump, the Republicans need the anti-Trump candidates who can offer a positive conservative alternative to the current frontrunner. This is fundamentally important to the future of the party and the country.
And the Republicans must remember that they must produce a candidate that will be able to appeal to the Republican base. That candidate must also be capable of appealing to Moderate Democrats that will be left over carnage from a Clinton – Sanders – Biden – whoever? primary debacle which will be non-appealing for the soft support in the middle of the Democrat Party.
Good Times ahead, have fun.
They can’t speak from the heart. They are puppets. Puppets don’t have hearts.
Walker should have left as a statesman. Instead, he left like a whiney bitch.
Don’t overthink this. Walker was in the tank, fundraising sucked and he has troubles back home.
He got out to save his hide.
Just like Rubio will before the Florida primary and Kasich will before Ohio, giving those votes to Jeb.
You are clueless. The only people that think Jeb will be the nominee are democrats and YOU.
You are clueless. The only people that think I’ll stay true to the Republican party are gullible Republicans and idiots like you. What a loser you are!
Oh, here’s fifty bucks. Thanks for showing up and defending me.
There ya go folks The Donald nails it.
And buy my next book.
and, tune in to The Apprentice
You are just showing your ignorance of how the US Chamber of Commerce and the RNC are working behind the scenes. They have always been aligned with liberal Wall Street financiers and professional strategists to ensure Bush is the nominee. They are the only reason that people like Graham, Gilmore, Pataki, and Kasich are even in the race and even the reason Rubio is in the race. Those candidates are all splitter candidates to break up all the non-Jeb votes. That, along with the new primary rules, was created to ultimately make Jeb the nominee by default. Trump has messed all that up, thus the reason for the establishment to push Fiorina as an anti-Trump. This is being done not to prop up Fiorina per se, but to destroy Trump and find a way to get Jeb back into the picture, especially now that Jeb is tanking beyond what they expected. I’m not saying Jeb is going to be the nominee, I’m saying that the establishment power brokers are invested in his and Hillary’s nomination and subsequent White House race.
Good points.RNC has a choice however. If Bush is nominee the Republican Party will split and a Trump 3rd Party run would be supported by many of us.
Bush is the ONLY Republican that can’t win in 2016. We will defeat him in Florida.
I got $100 million reasons to think Jebito wins. That and he has a Mexican wife.
Well, that’s just stupid. Express disagreement with the dude, but “unite” against him? Are they not all supposed to be running for the GOP nomination against the Democrat nominee? Logic dictates that they must run against each other at the same time — not single out just one of them to run against. The field will narrow itself naturally. Walkier calling on candidates to fall on their swords to defeat one of their own, just because he could not hang there, himself, does not even deserve media attention.
His biggest piece of advice is something they have already been trying and failing at. I think he secretly wants to drag the others down with him.
Like Joe Scarboro said this morning it looks like the GOP is self distructing before his very eyes
BTW: Mika looked pretty good this morning…a little thin though……….and wearing unrevealing clothing to boot……..
Butthurt.
Jeb! is the one chosen by the party elite but Jeb! is sinking like a rock. I don’t see Jeb! getting the nomination at this point and if his numbers don’t start rising as other “establishment” candidates leave the race he’ll pull back and try to be a king maker by passing out his substantial campaign money.
The top three I am watching are.
Carly Fiorina
Positives
She’s obviously smart and had the best handle on facts and figures at during the last debate.
She’s polished and well rehearsed. She has an solid answer for almost everything.
She’s a former business executive, so in theory she should do well under pressure.
She’s the anti-Hillary. If Hillary get’s the democrat nomination she should be able to put down the “vote for a woman” advantage of Hillary.
She’s a strong on defense and actually understands what it takes to project power and win.
Negatives
Her time at HP will be used against her. Though she likely saved the company from total destruction she fired 80,000 between HP and Compaq and she took a huge Golden Parachute when she left HP of $21 million dollars.
The excessive Botox in her face leaves her unable to project any emotion. At best she looks like she has a chronic case of owl face and permanent resting bitch face. At worse she projects Cruela DeVille.
She’s Episcopalian. The far right evangelical wing of the Republican Party won’t like this. Evangelical protestants consider Episcopalians to be Catholic Light and the Episcopal church is fairly liberal as Christian denominations go.
Ben Carson, MD
Positives
He’s the smartest candidate running frocanidateom either party.
He’s the most likable candidate running from either party.
He’s a total and complete outsider to the political game.
He should be able to increase minority interest in the Republican candidate as he’s not a manufactured black conservative he was raised by a single mother in the ghettos of Detroit.
Negatives
He’s the smartest and nicest candidate running, this has the potential to lead to him being the “Black, Republican Jimmy Carter”.
He lacks strong policy positions.
He may be too socially conservative to attract independent and moderate voters which the Republicans need in order to win and be successful (See Ronald Reagan for example of this)
He’s a Seventh Day Adventist again this won’t play well with a significant number of mainline and evangelical protestants.
Donald Trump
Positives
He’s already won the name recognition game, EVERYONE knows Donald Trump.
He’s a successful billionaire, he obviously knows how to run a large organization well.
He speaks his mind and that’s resonating with a large portion of the electorate that’s tired of the PC game.
He’s somewhat of a political outsider though he’s played in the political circles for years.
He has a domestic agenda waiting and ready to go on day one, including an actual solution to the ILLEGAL immigration issue.
Negatives
He’s Donald Trump, everyone know Donald Trump.
He has no filter between his mouth and brain so he says any and everything that comes to his mind.
He doesn’t play well with the female or Hispanic demographic.
He has changed his policy position so many times over the last 30+ years it’s hard to know what he actually stands for sometimes. Does he REALLY believe what he is saying or is he attempting to win this negotiation.
Is he stable enough to hold the nuclear launch codes, I’ve been hearing this question a lot.
All in all don’t know who the nominee will be. It may end up being a compromise candidate. So don’t expect Kasich, or Christie to drop out unless someone emerges as a clear winner. They are in a place to make good convention compromise candidates. Cruz likely defects to the Trump campaign at some point. It’s going to be an interesting ride.
I MIGHT vote for Carly if she had not been a failure at just about everything since she started her career—–her track record in the business world and her one other shot at politics were total failures and as you posted she got her own luxury life boat complete with air conditioning, good food and hot/cold running water while everyone else was in the water about to drown or were already dead.
But you gotta give her this…she don’t quit trying..
Donald Trump??? I can’t stand that loud mouthed blow hard who is a Mussolini clone EXCEPT that Mussolini DID serve in WWI while that cowardly Trump dodged the draft and is quoted as stating that because he went to military school as a kid he knew more about the military than the ones who are serving……………Fuck that arrogant SOB
Get your ass down here and wash the dishes!
“He may be too socially conservative to attract independent and moderate voters which the Republicans need in order to win and be successful (See Ronald Reagan for example of this)”
This tells me you are clueless.Jerry Falwell and the Moral Majority elected Reagan 2x’s. Liberals like YOU (so called independents/moderates) tried to defeat him.
The Moral Majority, claiming a constituency of 50 million, was very active in the 1980 elections. The Moral Majority, along with the Christian Voice, the National Conservative Political Action Committee, and others, targeted liberal incumbents for defeat, including Senators George McGovern (D-SD), Frank Church (D-ID), John Culver (D-IA), and Birch Bayh (D-IN)–all of whom lost their elections. (8) The Moral Majority packed the Republican caucus in Alaska and won all nineteen delegates to the national convention for Ronald Reagan. Similar victories were achieved in Iowa and Alabama. (1) Falwell estimated that the Moral Majority efforts added 3 to 4 million registered voters to conservative efforts in 1980 and raised $11 million for lobbying efforts in 1984. ( – See more at: http://rightweb.irc-online.org/articles/display/Moral_Majority#sthash.NJ9QBssl.dpuf
God most likely killed Falwell for taking millions of dollars from people who were making small contributions for what they thought was god’s work and putting in his personal accounts, so that he and his family would be rich. He is probably burning in hell for that today.
Ralph Reed, was using his moral majority network to extort big payments for himself from Indian casinos. If they paid him, he would use his moral majority connections to block other indian casino’s from opening.
Facts?? Lol!!

GOP debate: Five lessons the Republican presidential candidates can learn from California
Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina made a strong showing at Wednesday’s debate, but she exaggerated or twisted some facts:
WHAT SHE SAID: “As regards Planned Parenthood, anyone who has watched this videotape, I dare Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama to watch these tapes. Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.”
REALITY CHECK: Such a scene was not part of any of the undercover videos released thus far.
WHAT SHE SAID: “President Obama campaigned in 2007 and 2008 on solving the immigration problem. He entered Washington with majorities in the House and the Senate. He could have chosen to do anything to solve … this problem. Instead, he chose to do nothing. Why? Because the Democrats don’t want this issue solved.”
REALITY CHECK: The Senate approved a bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform bill in June 2013, and Obama promised to sign it. But House Republicans killed it by refusing to take it up.
WHAT SHE SAID: Despite difficult economic times during her time as Hewlett-Packard’s CEO, “we doubled the size of the company; we quadrupled its top-line growth rate; we quadrupled its cash flow.”
REALITY CHECK: Revenue doubled because she oversaw the acquisition of Compaq, the personal-computer maker, just as the market began turning away from PCs. Many have questioned the deal’s wisdom, then and now. Fiorina also cherry-picks HP’s quarterly reports to claim she quadrupled its revenue growth from 2 percent to 9 percent; a more logical annual comparison shows it actually went from 7 percent to 3 percent during her tenure.

WHAT SHE SAID: “I would conduct regular, aggressive military exercises in the Baltic states” as part of a new strategy to contain Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ambitions.
REALITY CHECK: That already happened this summer, under Obama and NATO.
Sour Grapes. What a weenie.
The real truth as to why both parties rallied together to attack Trump.
A sitting president has full unrestricted access to everything; even criminal evidence. Evidence that can be used against the lawless corrupt rogues in Washington. Evidence that can send 1000s or more to prison. Hence, Trump is threat to their very freedom from incarceration. But only if he is elected.
The closer he gets. The more unhinged they become. Don’t put it past Obama and his cronies to already have a plan to assassinate Trump. Remember, Lindsey Graham “promised” Trump would never win the GOP Primary. What does Graham know … hmmmmm?
I hope you’re wrong but it sounds too possible to say that. Look what the PTB did to JFK.
Stay alert and be safe, Donald!
Scott Walker—an honor
graduate of the Al Gore School of Insincerity—is feeling a little down in the
dumps
He’s POed because he
couldn’t be a Boehner-McConnell RINO and wants to blame it all on Donald Trump
!!!
You can often well judge a man by those who hate him.
Latino Americans and any legal resident should not be afraid
of Donald Trumps illegal immigration agenda? You must understand that
everybody, including Latino’s, Hispanics, Black, Caucasian or any body who came
to America
through the Legal Immigration doors has nothing to fear from ICE or the US
Government. Its all about jobs, power, money and influence and your rights as a
person who followed the rules, are part of the potential flat lining of the
American Dream. It’s only the Democratic
radical, the Liberal Zealots that are using the Political Correct Police
society and the Liberalized media to balkanize you and your family are in some
ways thinking your life in the US
is at stake. That’s why the Liberals and Democrats are have adjoined the term
IMMIGRANT to the same articulation with ILLEGAL ALIENS. It’s a clever conniving scheme by both
political parties to fit you in the same barrel as foreigners who violated the
United States Immigration laws.
REMEMBER WE HAD A CHANCE IN A LIFETIME TO END THE CORRUPTION
IN BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES, THE LYING PRESS AND THE BUYING AND SELLING OF YOUR
VOTES TO THE CORPORATIONS, UNIONS AND THE WEALTHY DONORS.
Their is a mighty divide between the true Lawful Immigrant
and the ones who entered by default, stole your jobs and stole your future. If
you vote for a Democrat, there will be even more Foreign nationals arriving
here, to facilitate that you will be anticipated to pay their benefits. In the
last six years with Obama offering free settlement to anybody who arrives at
the border, unless you have professional skills; perhaps a college degree your
job is at risk, your health care will cost even more. Numerous GOP establishment
perceive the hordes of illegal aliens arriving and don’t see it as a financial burden,
as its cheap labor for the business owners, who pay there dues to the US
Chamber of Commerce. The cost is unparalleled for every Citizen or (green card
holder). But for the Leftists its new blocks of voters–legal or illegal?
Not having Donald Trumps wall or encompass MANDATORY
E-VERIFY we can expect no change from either party. Millions of illegal alien
families will arrive here and the money will be taken from your taxes.
