Mick Mulvaney: Going Down With Rand Paul’s Sinking Ship

“FIRST IN THE SOUTH” CONGRESSMAN BACKS SENATOR’S STRUGGLING CANDIDACY …

|| By FITSNEWS || U.S. Rep. Mick Mulvaney of South Carolina endorsed the presidential bid of U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky this week.

“Rand has proven himself as a conservative outsider unafraid to take on the Washington establishment,” Mulvaney said in a statement announcing his endorsement.  “I look forward to spending some time with him in South Carolina and working to spread his message of small government and fiscal conservatism. Rand is exactly the kind of leader we need in the White House.”

Mulvaney’s endorsement is no shocker … he has been openly supporting Paul for more than a year, and his chief of staff S.C. Rep. Eric Bedingfield has been leading Paul’s “First in the South” efforts over that time period.

What is surprising?

That Mulvaney – who has his eyes on a possible gubernatorial bid in 2018 – thinks endorsing Paul will somehow help him.

It won’t …

In fact at this point, it’s almost as bad a call politically as former S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) director Catherine Templeton‘s decision to endorse former Florida governor Jeb Bush.

According to the latest averages of South Carolina polling provided by Real Clear Politics, Paul is receiving the support of 2.3 percent of likely GOP primary voters.  That puts him in 11th place.

Paul isn’t faring much better nationally, receiving just 3.5 percent of the vote – putting him in eighth place.

In accepting the endorsement, Paul said he admired Mulvaney’s “conservative leadership in the House of Representatives.”

Hmmm …

We wonder: Does that include Mulvaney’s endorsement of liberal U.S. Speaker John Boehner?  Or his kabuki dance on the issue of “Obamatrade?”  Because the last time we checked, those weren’t “conservative” positions.

Now Mulvaney knows how FITSNews feels when candidates like Tom Ervin, Thomas Ravenel and Bakari Sellers crash and burn.

Don’t forget Elizabeth Colbert-Busch.

Thought about her, but could not remember her name. But her too. Although, with Sanford involved, it’s hard to tell who is playing who.

Well he did endorse another loser, Perry, in 2012. And he is out of his mind if he think Rand stands a chance in SC.

Rand Paul and Mulvaney share the same challenges, & they have a theme song about them:

Only 4,320 average visitors per day and it only covers South Carolina. That’s not a sinking ship.

But is it growing? Or is it dying? Keep writing articles like this and we shall see, I suppose…why not name the author, FITS News? Don’t want the whole world to see what loser is writing such baloney.

I suppose this means that you are the dumbass writing this garbage every day. Want some advice? Get a life! There are better things you can do with your life than throwing shit against the wall and then running and hiding from the world.

During his first term campaigning, I worked actively to get Mulvaney elected and oust John Spratt. We were taken out of his district on the second term election and I did not dwell on his activities after that.
Mulvaney will be with Paul in SC on Wednesday, 9/23 with stops in Rock Hill, Columbia, and Spartanburg.
Mulvaney expressed that he agreed with Paul’s call for term limits, defunding Planned Parenthood, abolishing the IRS, and working toward a smaller and more limited Federal Government. Mulvaney also comes across as a very intelligent, articulate, and conservative on most issues. I don’t see where Mulvaney’s endorsement of Rand Paul will cost him support or votes in upcoming elections, whether remaining in the House or running for Governor.

I worry about Mick getting “Beltway-tized”. I’m sure you’ve seen me post other times how pleased I’ve been with his representation. I have yet to write his office that I didn’t receive a response from a human that actually read what I said and responded to each point. Spratt’s office was more like a robo call like script with a folksy “Ya’ll vote fer me hear now?” type ending. How was an electorate stupid enough to fall him so long?

Yes, I called his office in Washington two times, and I always received a prompt relevant answer to my questions, no form letters.
And like I said, he comes across as being smart as a whip.

“How was an electorate stupid enough to fall him so long?”
I have people living in my community that will not speak to me till this day for working to get Spratt booted out of office. Everyone in the county I live in profess to be “Conservative” Democrat and all the local yokel politicians run as Democrats. It is a time warp.

Those old time Democrats like the old ways devotees to corruption, nepotism, and everyone, wink, wink in their place. George Wallace was their hero. I used to call it the corn pone oligarchy. When I first came to the area everyone bragged about Spratt “bring home the bacon!” and I felt a need to ask if they knew where the hog came from?

I certainly hope not. Mulvaney is a good man. Like you I was taken out of his district but he is a thinker and I agree with him on Term Limits,Planned Parenthood,The IRS and smaller government. I do not agree with anyone on everything but these are big issues!

Everyone’s allowed one “full retard” moment, even Mulvaney.

Mick added Monday that he’s actually campaigning for Rand
who of course happily has him on retainer

And like I-Lie-To-Conservatives-Joe-Wilson he STILL needs to
be surgically removed from John Boehner !!!
