While I agree that there is no Christian, Hindu or Jewish way to expand freedom and free markets, what you fail to point out is that the Muslim way would limit freedom and free markets. For example, a woman can only work outside the home or visit family/friends if their is no objection from their guardian/husband and if they are covered and speak/behave according to Islamic guidelines. Women cannot socially mix with men, meaning they are segregated in most circumstances unless they have permission to do so. An Islamic woman’s religion comes before here job, therefore if her job requires something that is frowned upon by her religion, she is obligated by her religion not to perform that job function. These are just a few examples on how the Muslim way would interfere with our freedoms that we cherish in America and how the Muslim way would limit free market. Call me islamaphobic all you would like, I’ll keep that in mind when this country is run by sharia law and you no longer have the right to freely blog about what’s on your mind.

The guest list for a planned event at the White House’s South Lawn to welcome the pope on his first full day in the U.S. on Wednesday includes Sister Simone Campbell, executive director of Network, a “Catholic social justice lobby” which allegedly supports abortion and euthanasia; Bishop Gene Robinson, former Episcopal bishop of New Hampshire who is the first openly gay Episcopal bishop in the country; Mateo Williamson, a former co-head of the transgender caucus of Dignity USA; and also activists from the LGBT group GLAAD.
“This is disgraceful and obviously inappropriate,” Graham wrote on his Facebook page Saturday. “Is there no end to the lengths the president will go to in order to push his sinful agenda?”
Graham, who leads the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, said it is wise of the Vatican to “question President Obama’s guest list” and that the list of guests “should raise a lot of eyebrows.”
The Vatican has taken offense, according to The Wall Street Journal.

No, they may frown upon it but you don’t have to fear for your life in a Christian country because in a Christian country you are free to partake in alcohol, deviant sexual encounters, wear bikinis on the beach, go to church with men and women, and the list of freedoms goes on and on. And yes, I actually attended two Christian universities even though I’m not a practicing Christian (there were plenty of atheists and Jews at the University too). The only unsocial coed thing allowed was that the men couldn’t be in women’s dorms and vice versa. Otherwise, they were allowed to attend chapel, have lunch, go to sports matches and participate in numerous other activities with the opposite sex. You need to go look up the definition of First World. Your comment either makes no sense or you have given the term “First World” a definition you made up.
First World country generally implies a relatively wealthy, stable and functional non-theocratic democracy with a reasonably well educated population.
Actually traditionally First World refers to the Western Democracies, their progeny, the mostly Capitalists nations aligned with them; Second World referred to the Soviet Union (now Russia) and those, primarily Communists, nations, in their sphere of influence, and third world referred to the unaligned, traditionally less developed nations. Post Cold war those designations have less meaning.
I do not think the modern Middle East or Developed Asian countries fit very well into the traditional groupings.

I am not saying that. I am saying the traditional nomenclature, does not apply well to the modern Middle East or developed Asia. To classify those countries as anything other than third world you would need to change the traditional Cold War definitions. You for example you excluded the Muslim countries from membership in the classification First World by adding the requirement the nation not be a Theocracy. But that also excludes Israel, which is traditionally considered First World.
I would judge a candidate on his merits not religion, but it is no accident that many of the most developed countries have historically Christian cultures. Japan is one of a few exceptions.

There are plenty of non western countries. The first Muslim country is Brunei(30). The first non-petro state Muslim country on the list is Malaysia(62) even though they are an oil exporter. Lebanon(65) is the highest ranked non oil exporter

That gave a wide space for political innovation. Also Jesus and the apostles place a heavy emphasis on personal freedom and freedom of conscience. These values however did not begin to flourish until printing and literacy spread. The Bible had a great influence on printing and literacy and reading the Bible had a great influence in promoting freedom.

Becoming a citizen is difficult unless you are Jewish or married to a Jew. Jewish people are invited to immigrate to Israel, Non-Jewish people are generally not. Jews are given preference in a lot of areas over non-Jews under the country’s laws.

He should have stated that the Constitution prohibits a religious restriction and it should be left up to the electorate to reject any candidate for any reason, including their religion. The electorate is perfectly capable of rejecting any candidate for any reason, and that includes sex, religion, race, physical appearance, etc., and that is legal in every aspect. You can’t constitutionally keep people off the ballot because of race, religion, etc…, but you can vote them off.
