TROOPS COULD BE COMING …
|| By FITSNEWS || Russian president Vladimir Putin has dispatched tanks and anti-aircraft defenses to war-torn Syria – and could soon send in ground troops. It’s all part of the Kremlin’s effort to prop up the regime of Bashar al-Assad, which continues to battle against militants supported by the United States.
You know … these guys.
Oh … and these guys, too.
The escalation comes as Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to arrive in Moscow early next week.
Netanyahu plans to address Putin regarding “the threats posed to Israel as a result of the increased flow of advanced war material to the Syrian arena and the transfer of deadly weapons to Hezbollah and other terror organizations.”
Of course unlike American leaders, Putin doesn’t follow orders from Tel Aviv. Or respond kindly to Israeli threats.
So he’s likely to tell Israel “whatever,” which is something our country should have done a long time ago.
What should America do about all of this?
That’s the beauty part: Nothing.
Absolutely friggin’ nothing …
Of course that won’t happen. Instead, our leaders are likely to continue their failed strategy of giving weapons to pretty much everybody in the Middle East while agreeing to take their refugees when they start using those weapons against each other.
Or, you know, more invasions.

All part of Obama’s plan.Destroy our military and empower our geopolitical enemies.
Nooooo! Now Russian blood will be spilled instead of American blood! I can’t stand it!
Good. Syria under Assad>>>>>>syria without Assad.
Obama has turned Yemen, Iraq and Libya over to ISIS.Turned Egypt over to the Muslim Brotherhood until they got smart and now Syria over to Russia.
usa/america under Obama>>>>>>USA/America without Obama
You just said “with Obama” is greater than “without Obama” you stinking socialist. I knew you supported Bernie Sanders!
I know.
That flip guy, man. I thought I was bad, but he makes me look like Ludwig von Mises.
President Obama was caught on a hot mic telling Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that “after my election I have more flexibility” to deal with issues like missile defense and Syria at a meeting in Seoul, South Korea in March 2012.
Medvedev responded, “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir [Putin.]”
Checkmate.
And the next year he got Russia to take out all of Syria’s chem weapons. Ba-bam!!!!!
How many Syrian refugees has Russia taken in?
The right number NONE.
Russia wants to take over as world police? Go for it!
Damn right, let the new age Russian commies expend their blood and treasure in that region.
As “Nature abhors a vacuum,” Russian dictator Putin ”abhors a zone or country lacking any military power,’ and he will fill it.
Will that part of the world become what “Eastern Europe” was to Russia in the ‘Cold War.’ or will it present an Afghanistan-type problem for Russia?
Some of the richer countries in the Middle East should ban together and straighten this mess out. That won’t happen, too many ethnic and tribal differences to reach a conclusion on anything.
Some people will disagree, but the US and other countries should have maintained a presence in Iraq to help preclude this from happening. In the meantime, the world is being overrun by refugees and that area is a breeding ground for exporting terrorists to the US and other parts of the world.
We need to sit back and see how this plays out. Our enemies, Russia and ISIS are fighting each other. That is a good thing. The US will be neutered by Obummer for another 18 months . By then something should be happening in the middle east noteworthy. If they are fighting over there they might not have enough left over to mess with US.
Yes, that is one thought, given the unpredictability of the politics of certain countries, groups, tribes and sects almost anything could happen.
Actually, these people have been fighting internally for centuries. It is just been that in recent times that they could attain the weapons, the money, and the desire to export terrorism and cause chaos outside their region.
All that sand without any oil and gas would be just another god-forsaken location on a map.
How quickly we forget. One of the reasons we are out of Iraq is that their government wanted our soldiers (and contractors) to be subject to the laws of Iraq instead of policing ourselves. That was a condition precedent to our continuing presence. Not to mention we never should have been in Iraq in the first place.
I looked at that tank pretty closely and couldn’t find a reset button anywhere? This is the Obama/Clinton legacy. When we are inevitably at war again the first thing that should be melted for ammunition is his Effing peace prize.
Here is an article that gives you the inside story on the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Obama. Guess what, you will not see this article in the Mainstream press, it does not reflect well on Obama or his administration.
They gave him the prize in expectations of him doing significant actions in the name of peace. They now admit that it was a mistake. This should be making headlines all over the world. The Republicans should be talking about it at every opportunity.
The fake and phony(Obama) had many people fooled, especially the Europeans, that went batshit crazy every time he set foot on their continent. Now they know, but it is too late.

Readers should note that: Putin is firmly supported in Israel by a large Jewish business group. He gets a lot of his funding and support from this group. You can’t do successful business in Russia unless you have contacts in Israel. I can tell you that from personal experience.
So, don’t think that Putin will do anything to harm his support from the Jewish communities in Russia or Israel. Because, Putin will not do that.
By the way: Russia, we bailed your behinds out in Afghanistan.
You owe us one.
So, do something about the mess in Syria.
Because, the US seems only able to make things worse.
In fact: you can have the entire Middle East problems if you want them.
We don’t need their oil and all they are is a “Pain in the ISIS.”
Like I have been saying all along. When the cat is away the mice will play. With no leadership from the US , all the little dictators are free to do their own thing. We will soon see weather Russia is a world police man or not. President Whoever is going to have a big job putting the pieces of a shattered world back together.
See above. When your opponent steps into a big pile of dog shit, you should – let them.
With Obummer as pResident we have no other choice.
What’s the other choice again Rogue – oh year right – our boys and tanks fighting in Syria.
These neocons can’t have it both ways – It is either constant war and we just keep ringing up the debt, severe injuries and body count. Or we smartly pick our battles and try to get out of debt and take care of our permanently injured vets. If the Russians are stupid enough to get back into that shithole called the Mideast then let them. They obviously didn’t learn anything from their lost decade in Afghanistan…and apparently neither have a lot of dumbasses in the US.
Obama has it right.Turn the middle east over to ISIS and give IRAN nukes.
Iran isn’t getting any nukes. You want to send your kids, grandkids, great grandkids and money back over there for centuries to fight an Islamic religious war? Those warring tribes will be fighting each other till the end of time.
Of course Flip won’t send his kids. They’re too important.
We can send the illegals over on a green card instead of deporting them.
We did that 2003 through 2011.
You got that right…………..
And now Trump and his ass-kissing minions like “flip” want to throw them out for serving this country……..
Yeah, ISIS is a country with ships and stuff. Or right, it’s a bunchof ragheads running around in a no-where desert. My bad.
Kinda wrong there. The Russians have had a presence in Syria going back to the 1950’s. They basically consider Syria their back yard
They have been the major supplier of weapons to the Syrians since that time and supplied them with the most up to date anti-aircraft weapons systems in the world during the Yom Kippur War in 1973 – you know the one we went to DEFCOM 3 over and resulted in the gas crunch of 1973-1974? Not to mention Israel almost nuking Damascus and Cairo when they thought they might have to go nuclear during the first days of the war when they feared they might lose. I know, I was personally involved in the DEFCON 3 alert and it scared the shit out of me
Having US troops facing the Russians in Syria just might set off a nuclear war. All it would take is a few miscalculations and a unit or two on both sides shooting at each other resulting in casualties.
It could easily spiral out of control.
Then it’s “duck and cover time”
Better stop worrying bout Syria Rocky. NEW RCP (PPP)-Democrat leaning poll has Republicans SWEEPING Florida!

HA HA HA!!!
You having another bad day ?
No.Your comrade in treason and fellow American hater Sgt.Bergdahl is however.
Good, if Berhdahl is guilty, let him suffer.
Check back in October.
For what? LMAO!!!
I was a participant of that “game” back in 1973 (Yom Kippur).
If we had gone “toe to toe” with the Russkies back then you wouldn’t be here or wish you were dead. I was scared as shit and had already written myself off
My hairs (what’s left of them anyway) always get on end when Yom Kippur rolls around.
This year it’s next week (22 September)
Things have a way of getting critical around this time of the year (as far as recent history goes):
Cuban Missile Crisis – October 1962
Yom Kippur War alert – October 25 1973
Beiruit Barracks bombing – October 1983
Mogadishu, Somolia (“Black Hawk Down”) – October 1993
Coincidence??? Maybe or maybe not……………
Assad is fighting Iran and Isis. Iran is fighting Assad and ISIS. So now have Russia fighting Iran and Isis; and we have Iran fighting Russia and Isis. Sounds like brilliant maneuvering to me. Nothing makes you wingnuts happy.
Here’s a something to remember. When you’re opponent steps into a big pile of dog shit, you shouldn’t do the same. Have at it boys, and let us know how this works out for ya. If Assad and his thousdands of Russian tanks can’t stop the civil war, what’s Russia’s extra 100 tanks going to accomplish? Answer – Not a Damned Thing.
Our politicos didn’t ;earn anything from watching Russia at war in Afghanistan, and won’t learn anything from watching them in Syria. I agree with Trump…we are being led by idiots, including our beloved Senator Graham.
Syria under Assad and Russia are allies. Where’s the surprise?
My guess is Obama and Kerry will play nice with Russia in case the ‘closet’ Muslim declares martial law prior to the 2016 election and needs help?
ISTBY
This is about as geo-political as a zit on your ass. Keep some perspective. A couple of hundred Russian casualties in Syria really ain’t that big of a deal to us. Putin is just looking for another excuse to say he’s relevant. He’s like your ex-girl friend at a bar – “look at me. Look at me.” When you really should care less.
Putin Moves First Tactical Fighter Jets to Base in Syria… http://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-defense-secretary-discusses-syria-with-russian-counterpart-1442589965
In other news Putin had a bowel movement, and Russian’s don’t have money for heating oil.
Obama Appoints Freaky Homosexual as Secretary of Defense.
Alright flop got a job !
ISIS leader admits to being funded by the US
Groups they were funding in Syria were actually Islamic jihadists
The Russians are upping the ante. Syria is a significant client for Russian arms and military technology. A few years ago Russia wrote off most of Syria’s debt — reducing it from $13.4 billion to $3.6 billion — but the Syrians still owe them about $5.0 billion as of last month. If Assad falls, the Russians will lose their money and a huge client, not to mention the impact of a major Sunni Muslim victory that could embolden their own Muslims in the Caucasus and Central Asia.
It seems to this oldster that the old USSR was the patron of Assad’s daddy throughout the Cold War era. Egypt, too, in those days.
What has really changed in the Soviet Union/Russian relationship with Assad Jr?
Is it them or us? Do we now realize that when GW Bush looked in Putin’s eyes, what he couldn’t quite make out was the soul of a nationalist Mafioso? And, that still was obscure when Clinton hit the malfunctioning re-set button?
Russians are not always bad actors. Russia was very involved with the plan to get Assad’s chemical weapons out of the country. We thought they played a good role in that and that’s why Obama didn’t have to unilaterally invade when Assad crossed the ‘red line’…the way the Republicans say he should have now. Of course, if he had invaded, they would be criticizing that. And, we ALL know that.
Remember Chechnya? Russia does not like Islamic militants. It seems natural for them to come down on the side of the autocrat family they have been selling weapons to for decades instead of the rebels and we’re just the ones missing that…ya think?
The Congress, the Republican controlled Congress, refuses to authorize any specific actions on Syria or ISIS because they don’t have the balls to go on the record with a vote. They run their mouths and run their mouths and won’t authorize what they want Obama what to do. You do know that it’s Congress that has to declare war, too, right?
If the Republicans want it so bad, they are the majority and could do that.
But, they would have to vote and go on the record. And, since Iraq, they are too gutless to so that. All they want to do is whine and blame and offer nothing constructive.
Russia has been in Syria for forever now, it was just an “advisory” role.
