NATIONAL SECOND AMENDMENT ORGANIZATION BACKS TEXAS SENATOR’S CANDIDACY …
|| By FITSNEWS || U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas has received the endorsement of Gun Owners of America, a national Second Amendment advocacy group, in his bid for the presidency of the United States.
“We need a stalwart defender of the Second Amendment in the White House, and Ted Cruz will help shoulder the burden of fighting against the gun grabbers dedicated to eviscerating the Second Amendment,” the organization’s chairman Tim Macy said.
Cruz thanked the organization for its support, saying “the Second Amendment and our inherent right to self-defense are critical to the preservation of individual liberty.”
We concur … in fact this website has consistently attacked the “gun grabbers” while urging civil disobedience of any law (federal, state or local) which infringes upon the constitutionally guaranteed right to bear arms.
We’ve also repeatedly called out the hypocrisy of so-called “pro-gun” groups like the National Rifle Association (NRA) – which adhere to “friendly incumbent” rules in endorsing candidates.
Bottom line? Without the Second Amendment … the rest of our constitutional liberties are irrelevant.

In total taxes the average Canadian pays about the same as the average American. If you consider the cost of health insurance a tax, the average Canadian pays way less than the average American.

GOA should have done some research before this endorsement. Cruz does not qualify to hold the office of President of the United States since he by definition is not a “natural born citizen” although he is an United States citizen. He was born in Canada. For him to be “natural born” both parents would have had to be U.S. citizens at the time of his birth. Unfortunately, only his mother was. His father became a U.S. citizen some time after. The only way Cruz would be qualified is if the “natural born” clause was eliminated OR people allow it because we now have a President who also does not qualify to hold the Presidential office
