BERNIE SANDERS ENJOYS BIG NEW HAMPSHIRE LEAD
|| By FITSNEWS || Independent socialist U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders is enjoying a nine-point lead over Hillary Clinton in early voting New Hampshire, a new NBC News/ Marist poll revealed. Sanders is the first choice of 41 percent of Granite State voters – leading Clinton (32 percent) and U.S. vice president Joe Biden (16 percent).
Biden has yet to announce his candidacy, but the scandals surrounding Clinton’s once high-flying bid have many establishment Democrats urging him to jump into the race.
Sanders’ New Hampshire showing represents a 20-point swing from two months ago – when he trailed Clinton by a 42-32 percent margin in the state.
Meanwhile in early voting Iowa, Clinton still enjoys a lead – albeit a shrinking one. According to the latest NBC News/ Marist data, she’s currently drawing 38 percent support among likely caucus-goers in the state compared to 27 percent for Sanders and 20 percent for Biden. Two months ago, Clinton enjoyed a 49-25 percent advantage over Sanders.
Among “Republicans,” the same poll found Donald Trump leading Ben Carson by a 29-22 percent margin in Iowa – with no other candidate receiving more than six percent of the vote. Meanwhile in New Hampshire, the NBC News/ Marist pollsters found Trump receiving 28 percent support – well ahead of Ohio governor John Kasich (12 percent) and Carson (11 percent).
Former Granite State frontrunner Jeb Bush was in fourth place with eight percent support.

I know what you mean, but they both have to get by Bernie first. He is the current leader in the immediate upcoming primaries. Right now, and things may change, her first problem is Bernie. Losing to him in New Hampshire and Iowa would be a disaster.
Bernie is the short-term problem, Biden is the long term problem.
If the Dems allow an outright admitted socialist(sure, they are all socialists…but most Republicans are too) to win their Primary they are screwed.
Bernie simply is not electable, contrary to popular opinion.

Agreed. That pure “This is what I am, dammit!” thing draws huge crowds, but the vast majority of voters are not the type that go to political rallies, anyway. They watch all this shit on TV, if they pay even that much attention to it. People do sort of admire his candor, though. Similar, on the left, to the appeal Trump has on the right. Scary bit: Trump is electable, Sanders is not.
So, he has a lot of respect from a great many people who will never vote for him in a million year. lol That’s because he is considered to be a relatively honest politician.

Bernie Sanders has long been a Socialist. He first ran, and won, his seat as a Socialist. He has been identifed in Congress as an “Independent” because it was more acceptable than “Socialist”, and it allowed him to caucus with Democrats without it being too much of a big deal. Now, it’s allowing him to actually run for the Dem nomination. So, in effect, he is now officially a Democrat.
Still, Sic calling him an independent Socialist was in no way unfair or biased. That has, generally, been his political self-identification and affiliation.

Hillary is close to crashing and burning. So it’s natural that others are gaining a following. Truth be told, Sanders is the Dem front-runner. Hillary will get her expected coronation. That should be painfully obvious to even her most ardent followers by now — because every poll says that Trump would trounce her in the general election, if nominated. Which is looking all the more likely every day.
Of course, he would beat Sanders, too. So there’s that.
