“REPUBLICAN” FRONTRUNNER SAYS HE WILL SUPPORT EVENTUAL NOMINEE …
|| By FITSNEWS || After declining to make such a commitment during a “Republican” debate last month, GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump has put the “loyalty oath” issue to bed.
We don’t agree with his decision … but what’s done is done.
First, here’s the oath that the GOP insisted Trump sign in order to appear on the primary ballot (including early-voting states like South Carolina):
I affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is … I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party.

Anyway, Trump – confident in his poll position – is calling the GOP’s bluff.
“It is my great honor to pledge my total support and loyalty to the Republican Party and the conservative principles for which it stands,” Trump said in a statement. “This is far and away the best way to secure victory against the Democrats in November 2016. I am leading in all local and national polls – my whole life has been about winning and this is what must be done in order to win the election and, most importantly, to Make America Great Again!”
Trump’s decision brings him back to where he was in January – when his advisors told us he was not going to pursue an independent candidacy. He reconsidered that position in July, but is now firmly in the GOP camp.
That’s a shame …
The “Republican” party has no loyalty to taxpayers – only special interests. It has no loyalty to individual liberty – only big government. Accordingly, any candidate pledging loyalty to the “Republican” party is doing a disservice to freedom and free markets.
More to the point, signing an oath like this under duress is very un-Trump-like. The GOP basically threatened Trump – and he backed down.
That’s tremendously disappointing …
Also last we checked the GOP establishment was continuing to come after Trump at every opportunity … efforts we suspect will only intensify now that he has ruled out a third-party bid.

This is a practical way to keep political races from turning into 6 candidate goat-ropes; parties do this even at most county-level races for just that reason.

Why? It makes more sense to go down the current path for now. He’s likely to garner a good number of delegates up through March 15. But after that the states are all winner-take-all, and by then the RINOs will be down to Jeb and Marco, and either one of those two will beat Trump in the moderate mid-west states, and viola – Donaldo will be cheated. And when that happens, ain’t not pledge strong enough to stop the revenge.

OK, I agree with some of what you’re saying. However, the system is completely rigged to the favor of the 2 party system. Apparently, it would take around $15 million just to get on the ballots of all 50 states. Kind of pricey, huh? Further, don’t think that WE the taxpayers don’t fund the rigged 2 party system so when you say at “their primaries”, “their caucuses”, etc., is it really theirs?… or ours?

Except that the Republican party is currently treating him like a black sheep of the family. He hasn’t benefited much at all so far. Now I don’t expect them to go out and support Hillary after the primary if Trump wins, but I certainly don’t expect them to be very happy about Trump winning either.

Differences between a pledge and the law.
A pledge, is a promise but without a contract and not legally binding. If I pledge to pay $20 to the Help Tango Get a Brain foundation, I don’t have to pay it. Though he might crap his pants, attempt to have gay sex and throw feces like a monkey.
A law is something like this – if my undocumented parents gave birth to me here in the United States – I am a Citizen. A United States ctiizen, and the SS admin issues me my very own valid Social Security card, and I am entitled to Obamacare, and I can get a blue passport (for US citizens), and a drivers license and a voter registration card when I turn 18. And usually I get instate tuition.
