|| By FITSNEWS || GOP frontrunner Donald Trump‘s ongoing feud with Fox News’ anchor Megyn Kelly has done nothing to erode his support among “Republican” women.
According to the latest Gallup data, Trump is viewed favorably by 50 percent of GOP (and “Republican leaning”) females compared to 59 percent of GOP (and “Republican” leaning) males.
“This gender gap is fairly typical for many of the current GOP candidates,” Gallup’s pollsters note.
By comparison, U.S. Senators Ted Cruz and Rand Paul have much bigger gaps – 16 and 13 percentage points, respectively.
What gives? The liberal media can’t seem to figure it out …
Writing for Slate, feminist commentator Dahlia Lithwick professes to be “baffled” by Trump’s success with GOP woman – eventually chalking it up to what she refers to as “umbrage fatigue.”
“The year of the woman in 2012 was totally bracing for a blowback,” she noted.
In fact she mocks U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham for whimpering about Trump’s “misogyny” – only to continue falling “further and further behind Trump in the polls.”
(Even in Graham’s home state).
Don’t confuse Lithwick for a fan of “The Donald,” though. His rise has her seething with impotent rage.
“Perhaps Trump’s greatest gift, as a steaming misogynist, is that he is basically always the drunk guy in the bar slurring ‘nice tits,'” Lithwick wrote. “Serious women don’t take him seriously, and everyone else just thinks he’s deranged. Worse, he is the unrepentant drunk in the bar; he’s not sorry for calling women pigs or gold-diggers. Unlike the (Mitt) Romneys or the (Richard) Mourdocks, he doesn’t let himself get ‘bullied’ by politically correct women. He just sends them mail telling them they’re ugly.”
Hmmmm …
Our view? GOP women are responding to Trump because – as our female GOP columnist Taylor Brown predicted months ago – he’s sounding off like he’s got a pair.
Trump is offering specific policies and laying out exactly how he intends to pay for them … which is something GOP women who deal with family (and increasingly, business) budgets can appreciate. Also, assuming Trump’s tax plan is the middle class boon he’s advertising – expect his support among females to rise.

Trump and Kelly have a disagreement based not on gender, but on ideas. There are many wars to fight in this upcoming political season and the least of them should be the war of the sexes. Setting the stage for a “battle of the sexes” in the upcoming Presidential election is an effort to get female voters to concentrate on the attributes of body parts instead of real issues.
Trump’s support among female voters has everything to do with his ideas and his ability to convey his ideas to the general public, and neither relies on gender acceptance to be effective. Trump commands leadership based on the quality of his ideas and his style. Clinton demands your respect because your are a woman.

I have noticed among some GOP female friends of mine, who are more comfortable with patriarchal societal norms, basically being told what to do, provided for, and etc., are more likely to support Trump. Even looking past his support for partial birth abortion, Democrats, Clinton Inc. Foundation, amnesty, crony capitalism, having run for President several times before and LOSING BADLY, higher taxes, bigger, more intrusive, more powerful, nanny state (his pledge to “take care of women:) Federal government. Even the patriarchal, bible thumping GOP women, despite the fact that he’s non-religious, has been married 3 times, can’t cite his favorite Bible verse, doesn’t attend church regularly, etc, seem to support him in surprising numbers. Normally those are deal killers for the religious right females, but obviously they’re more on board with patriarchy than religious conviction from Donald Chump. We’ll see what happens when the air war starts.
