Gun control arguments and debates pop up.
Democrats offer gun control.
Republicans denounce gun control, but don’t offer much else in return.
People see incidents happening over and over again, and more often, and getting more and more attention by media.
People start thinking that shootings are getting out of control, something has to be done.
People see one side offering at least something, other side as offering little to nothing.
As time goes on, people start looking at Republicans offering little to nothing as apathy, indifference, denial.
Republicans lose moderate voters who just want “something” to be done, even if that something doesn’t really fix the problem.
Republicans may hold onto their pro gun voters, but were they ever at risk of losing them?
