SENATOR’S ATTEMPT TO DISMISS CORRUPTION CHARGES FAILS …
|| By FITSNEWS || Federal prosecutors claim to have uncovered “specific, corroborated” evidence that U.S. Senator Bob Menendez had sex with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic.
This shocking admission was made in response to attempts by Menendez’s attorneys to dismiss corruption charges filed earlier this year against the 61-year-old Democrat – who is accused of doling out political favors to Florida ophthalmologist Salomon Melgen, one of his campaign donors.
Specifically, Menendez is accusing of “(using) his Senate office to push the business interests of (Melgen) in exchange for gifts.”
Among those gifts? Dominican debauchery.
Two-and-a-half years ago Menendez was forced to repay Melgen nearly $60,000 in travel expenses related to their trips to the Dominican Republic, which his office referred to as an “oversight.” Of course that’s just a fraction of the $1 million in gifts and campaign contributions Menendez is accused of receiving from Melgen.

Anyway, Menendez claims the whole thing is a political smear – and that the charges against him should be dropped because the underage prostitution allegations are false. And in his defense, some of the women who have leveled charges against him have since recanted their original version of events.
But attorneys with the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ) refuse to rule out the claims.
“Presented with specific, corroborated allegations that defendants Menendez and Melgen had sex with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic, the Government responsibly and dutifully investigated those serious allegations,” USDOJ attorneys wrote in court filings this week.
Those allegations “have not resulted in any criminal charges,” the government noted – although that doesn’t mean they aren’t true.
Menendez has previously denied that he and Melgen hired prostitutes (including one who was allegedly 16 years old at the time) to perform sex acts on them at alcohol-soaked orgies in the Dominican Republic. In their latest filing, though, government attorneys asserted Menendez’s denials were “easily disprovable,” and accused the Senator of making representations that were “demonstrably false.”

Menendez was elected to a six-year term in the U.S. Senate in November 2012 – shortly after the allegations against him first surfaced. He has remained in office through his indictment, consistently casting votes in support of the administration of Barack Obama.

Dunno, but even as a Dem I think Mendendez is a scumbag. Not just for the underage chicks, but he is from New Jersey – so I should know. Hannity was unemployed, his attempts at self syndication had failed, and he had been fired from the Trump Express Campaign as the PR guy just before the election night implosion. His efforts to free-lance an interview with former VP candidate Rubio failed, and former GOP Presidential candidate Jeb Bush wouldn’t take his calls. He know he couldn’t call President Biden. And then there was Greta – forced to talk a leave of absence after calling Karl Rove a bald-beanie boy (they were now said to be dating). Fox ratings were in the tank, an unbelievable reversal associated with their war on Trump. And the GOP, having now lost the Senate, the House and yet again the White House, was in tatters. It was a sad day.

Well, the age of consent in the Dominican Republic is 18; so yes he did commit a crime. But, let’s be honest here, 16 is the perfect age for consent; and prostitution should be legal. This reduces the vast amounts of money spent on solving this sorts of ‘crime.’
