|| By FITSNEWS || Former Florida governor Jeb Bush – eager to blunt the momentum of GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump – took after his primary rival this week during a town hall meeting in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
Bush said his proven conservative record sharply contrasted with Trump’s past as a tax hiking Democrat.
“I think what people are eventually going to vote for is a proven conservative leader that’s done it, not talked about it,” Bush said.

Bush’s other problem? Far too many “conservative” leaders – including his brother George W. Bush and his father George H.W. Bush – have rendered that word utterly meaningless via their consistent support for fiscally liberal policies.
Hell, if “Republicans” had really been “conservative” all this time … there would be no need for Trump in the first place.

“A proven conservative leader.” That would be Scott Walker then. I can go along with that.
Bush’s audience there looks like his campaign, old & on it’s last leg. It’s lacking energy and excitement.
He’s like the old coot yelling at the neighbor kids to stay off his lawn. Everyone just nods their head and snickers.
I saw that – Jeb’s bringing a pillow to a freakin’ bar fight. He needs to man up and get mean, else he’s just going to get his ass kicked by a drunk Irishman.
The RNC’s new talking points, saw them in force yesterday all day with Steele and other Eee-iiiiuuuuuwwwstablishment types – “Oh, well, you know, it’s summer, it’s entertaining. This Trump stuff will all die down in October and November as people start to pay attention and get serious.” No it won’t!!!!
This insurgency was self made by the GOP. Since 2008 they’ve given these rabid right wing base members a soupbox to shout from. And then told them “elect us back and we’ll do these things you want.” So in 2010 they gave them the House. And for four years they didn’t do anything, and said “well, we only control the House.” Then in 2014 they said, “Give us the Senate and we’ll get ‘er done.” And since November 2014 the GOP House and Senate bailed on repealing Obamacare, caved on Executive Order, gave Obama trade negotiation authorization, and the SCOTUS saved Obamacare and let gays marry. Here’s the catch, next month they’ll not stop the Iran Deal (Corker gave that up in April), and then they have to pass the continuing resolutions for 2016 – inwhich they’ll fund Obamacare for another year, give Obama his trade deal, and even better, they’ll sneak in a re-authorization and funding for Ex-Im Bank. And the base wil go nuts again. And Trump will point each of these out as they happen. This rebellion is long term, and will last through next Summer.
The fervor over the DONALD has been dying off for how long now???
