ESTABLISHMENT “REPUBLICAN” RAILS ON “THE DONALD’S” REFORMS
|| By FITSNEWS || As expected, establishment “Republicans” are coming out against the comprehensive immigration reform plan unveiled earlier this week by GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump.
U.S. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida – who has precisely zero room to talk on this issue – says he opposes Trump’s plan to eliminate the longstanding practice of granting U.S. citizenship to the children of illegal aliens.
“I’m open to doing things that prevent people who deliberately come to the U.S. for purposes of taking advantage of the Fourteenth Amendment, but I’m not in favor of repealing it,” Rubio said during a campaign stop in early-voting Iowa.
Actually this wouldn’t repeal the Fourteenth Amendment – which provides for equal protection under the law – it would simply redefine who receives its protections.
We support Trump on this … if for no other reason than removing the so-called “anchor baby” provision would create a powerful disincentive to illegal immigration.
And while we’ve never breathed fire on this issue, we’ve repeatedly argued that government needed to distinguish between “good immigration” and “bad immigration” – incentivizing the former and discouraging the latter. Eliminating the “anchor baby” provision is one way to do that … same with eliminating government’s failed “War on Drugs.”
Current U.S. policy on immigration – and a whole host of other issues – is simply unsustainable.
Say what you will about Trump, but he’s offering specific proposals – and explaining how he would pay for them.
Rubio? He’s with liberal U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham on this issue …

Yeah, that was a forceful condemnation. “Well, I guess, I sorta don’t think, really, that maybe a little bit, that it’s not sort of exactly the best thing, but I want to stop anchor babies like me, but not really, and I don’t want to upset Donny, but my Mom said I had to come out here and stick up for immigrants and – hey look, kid, let me hit you in the face with this football”
Love this debate on immigration.Trump has em tripping all over each other on who will build the Wall faster,enforce immigration laws on the books and get rid of Obama’s E/O’s and make sure NO amnesty or path to citizenship for decades for those here illegally.

Rubio is an anchor baby. The child of people who came to the US and stayed, and Rubio has been less than clear how that happened. His story they were fleeing Castor has turned out to be a lie. We don’t need Rubio for President. We need someone with American roots. Not a first generation anchor baby.
