|| By FITSNEWS || S.C. Rep. Heather Ammons Crawford will lead the South Carolina campaign of Ohio governor John Kasich.
Kasich’s campaign made the announcement as he filed his paperwork to compete in the Palmetto State’s “First in the South” presidential primary next February.
“I’m excited about Governor Kasich’s prospects here in South Carolina,” Crawford said in a statement. “He has the experience, temperament and poise to tackle the tough issues, make key decisions and move our country forward through conservative principles.”

Crawford won a special election in July 2012 to fill the Horry County seat vacated by the resignation of former S.C. Rep. Thad Viers, who is also in the news this week.
