PICKENS COUNTY DRAMA JUMPS TO A HIGHER ENERGY LEVEL
|| By FITSNEWS || The chairman of the Pickens County (S.C.) Republican party is the subject of a S.C. State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) investigation, The Greenville News is reporting.
The paper quoted SCGOP chairman Matt Moore and and SLED spokesman Thom Berry as confirming the existence of a probe, although no details of the investigation were discussed.
Sources tell FITS the inquiry stems from our exclusive report back in April 2015 regarding a dispute between warring factions within the party. One of the stars of that drama? Former S.C. board of education chairwoman Kristin Maguire – who was forced to resign her post in 2009 after this website uncovered her side career as an erotic author.
Yeah … welcome to South Carolina, for those of you joining us because of the 2016 presidential coverage.
Anyway, if that’s true – if this is really about an internecine “Republican” quarrel – then this strikes us as a ridiculous waste of taxpayer resources.
Seriously.
South Carolina is No. 1 in the nation in crime. And awash in legitimate political corruption. Yet our top investigatory agency is refereeing some spitball fight between county party activists? While the nearby solicitor is shutting down strip clubs?
Jeez …

What is the Chairman’s name?
Certainly not Phillip Bowers. I have only known him to be a stand up guy.
The story has been up for 2 days at Greenville News with ONLY the guy’s last name and that didn’t show up until the 3rd paragraph.
Because of ties to Bobby Harrell, most likely.
“While the nearby solicitor is shutting down strip clubs?”
That is a boldface lie. Only one club was closed. It was only shut down temporarily. It had nothing to with stripping or as you have suggested in the past, Bible Thumpers.
BT, should you be knowing too much about those “clubs”?
Ezekiel 16:7-8
I made you flourish like a plant of the field. And you grew up and became tall and arrived at full adornment. Your breasts were formed, and your hair had grown; yet you were naked and bare. “When I passed by you again and saw you, behold, you were at the age for love, and I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your nakedness; I made my vow to you and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Lord God, and you became mine.
Then, is what you are pointing out to us is that these clubs, and prostitution, should be considered as religious organizations and activities, and should be considered the same as churches? It would be interesting to see what their “church” names would be.
Hey, Cosby told one of his victims that his jizm was pure, like holy water, so he was baptising her with it. Jay Leno urges Cosby to “come clean”, but apparently the son of a bitch thinks he always has. You can make scripture mean anything you want.
Romans 6: 12 [D]o not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts,
No. Just that God’s grace is for strippers too. I was never talking about prostitution, but the same applies to them. Doesn’t mean they should continue those activities.
check …
It’s not like SC has any problems that need attention from politicians or law enforcement. It’s still a great day in SC!
The candidates are registered by the government. They all run in primaries if there is any opposition which is run by the government. What does a county party chairman do?
Criminal Republican? Isn’t that redundant?
“And awash in legitimate political corruption.” Exactly what is legitimate political corruption? Political corruption is legitimate?
Greenville News reports first-name-unreported/unknown Bowers (related to Butch?) is on a local school board.
Does this SLED investigation have anything to do with that school board/district?
Seems like there is more potential for illegal actions in school board business than political party business, which rarely moves past the ‘dirty tricks’ level.
