GROUP LAUNCHES NEW FILM AGAINST FEDERAL “ACCOUNTABILITY” PROGRAM
|| By FITSNEWS || A faith-based group which is urging Christian families to withdraw their children from failed government-run schools has launched a new movie aimed at federal Common Core standards.
The group – Exodus Mandate – believes “the time has come for a coordinated commitment by the national Christian leadership, pastors, and the larger Christian community to support (an) effort to withdraw Christian children from the government school systems and place them in existing Christian schools and Christian home schools.”
The organization also supports parental choice as a means of launching “new Christian schools where they do not now exist.”
No argument from us on either front …
Government-run education in the Palmetto State is an unmitigated disaster – and has been for decades despite “Republican” and Democratic politicians pouring billions of new tax dollars into the same failed system.
Anyway, Exodus Mandate says it is launching the film in response to “the comprehensive and accelerating failure of the government school system and the encroachment of Common Core State Standards.”
Not gonna argue either of those points …

This website has consistently opposed Common Core. Just as we’ve consistently opposed (and exposed) the Palmetto State’s dumbed down state assessments. Why? Because we believe the only real accountability in education is the accountability of the marketplace … something that’s sorely lacking in South Carolina.

How much money is the Exodus movement getting from the Koch Brothers?
You’re funded by the atheists and communists who have infiltrated the federal gov’t. by lying about who you are. So STFU about the Koch Bros. They are your answer to everything.
The Koch Bros. pay their own way w/ THEIR money. And we agree with them. You look like a paranoid ashole, and idiot to boot.
Heil !
The Koch Brothers are the beneficiary of a lot of government largess. What is mining? A permit scored from the government and that same permit will limit competition. I can go on and on…
The Koch Brothers are like all rich people. They love government when it makes them money, hate it when it cost them money.
Properly a shit load
Didn’t Sanford sign it into existence in SC. July 2010.
You were FOR IT before you were against it. So why are you trying to lie, now?
YOU are why people HATE politics. You lie depending on which way the wind blows. Stuff it Dude. You have no credibility.
Why is everyone scared of common core? It’s bizarre.
Dem Christers wanna keep everybody as stooooooopid as they are.
Because a lot of parents are too dumb to sit down for 5 mins and learn elementary level math.
I actually had a respect for you, I’ll mull it some, thanks.
-he lisped.
No, he’s mulling it.
It’s the 13th and Folks hasn’t made his mortgage payment yet? Cutting it close this month.
Nikki Haley was for Common Core before she was against Common Core.

Please, she is for Nikki.
So, exactly who decided what constitutes American English and what should be taught as English Language Arts for a common language in the United States?
Juan and Pedro are working on a new one.
I am so glad we had money to send my son to private school.
This Common Core will be nothing more than a foundation for teaching our children how bad the United States has been and how the ‘new’ socialism is the answer. Morals and responsibility will be thrown out the school house window replaced by guilt and feel-good-isms.
Examples?
Of course they don’t have any examples, they have been told to hate Common Core by FoxNews, therefore Common Core is evil.
Where the standards are dumbed down is actually in the fly-by-night private schools…When they return to public schools, and many ultimately do, they’re generally far behind their peers. It’s a pity these schools do not have to be transparent about the achievement of their students…Their only accountability seems to be “feel good” anecdotes…
I’ve dealt with these home-schooled/christian-schooled/private-schooled children. Most of the 12-year old kids are at a third/fourth grade reading level,at best.Few can recite their ABC’s
I beg to differ, may be where you come from, and there may be some like that. But what you are describing reminds me of the public schools.
Are you telling me that all kids that go to Catholic schools are under-educated, you are a fool.
He’s an idiot, & a public school teacher. (no surprise there)
My nice would never make it in the real world. She is smart, but has a interaction problem with the way she relates with others.
That can be remediated over time though. Good luck.
Maybe interaction problems just run in your family. You know, the whole nature vs. nurture thing.
At least she overcame the familial spelling challenges.
12 year old home schooled kids can’t recite their ABC’s eh? You’re such a lying sack of shit all I can say is that I feel really sorry for the kids that have to listen to your twisted gay ass.
Even the most ardent public school supporter would be skeptical of your outlandish claims.
Some of the 6th graders I know at a little private school can’t tell time on an analog clock. If it ain’t digital, they can’t do it.
Cursive, what’s that?
The gears that allow GrandTurnip’s brain to
function were set when he entered first grade.
He came home from school and complained to his mother that the other kids laughed at his name and called him stupid.
His mother bought him a wrist watch and explained how it worked. “When you look at it you see the time it is now, and when you push
this little button you can see what time it was at this exact time yesterday.”
Nice to see everyone is making money off CC. I spent thousnds of hours researching this for free, silly me.
I hate standards. I want my kids to be stupid, and still get Bs, and then only have the SAT scores to attend community college.
I hate artificial and meaningless standards that don’t actually measure something’s true value.
Republican theocrats at work.
It is sad young students are caught in this mess. GOD help them.
Are these the same Exodus movement kooks who a few years ago were stating they were moving to SC to take it over?
And have you ever met homeschooling parents? Sure, some are qualified for through elementary school, but a lot are not even there. Darn few are qualified for middle or high school topics.
Below one will find the big government, ed-u-crats slamming Christians, home schoolers, innocent kids and anyone that agrees with the principle of an alternative to public schools.
Adults with that mean and hateful mindset run our education system and that is why our young people stack up so poorly when measured other nations.
The Exodus group has been around in some shape or form for years. They make a bit of noise then fade into the background. They had “Exodus 2000” 15 years ago (obviously) saying basically the same thing
Guess what???
They went nowhere and the same for this time too
