I hate religious freedom. It’s horrible – everyone should just be Baptist. I’m pretty liberal, and I was willing to go along with that flag assault to keep the blackies quiet, but this religious freedom for the Hajis – just a bridge to far for me.

On a side note, and this is a true story, I attended a wedding early last year in NE PA – a Muslim wedding. I can’t say if it was this Imam or another – guy was from Newark though. Anyway, it was rather interesting. The couple was from Bangladesh. Sort of sureal because it was held in this little PA village, snowing, real Norman Rockwell sort of scene, and then inside the building – this wild event. But the ceremony was in English, and oddly, not too different from an Anglo Christian event. Two differences were, the bride was essentially considered no longer part of her biological family, and the groom and brides family set aside a contingency fund, so if they get divorced, she’s got a pile of money to restart her life. That really threw me. Oh, and the robes and outfits were a real eye opener. But other than that, pretty normal stuff. And no, I don’t fear Sharia law being installed in America.

Religious law should not trump our written law.

I don’t know any Christian social conservatives who would object to a Christian learning about the Qur’an. Many would recommend it.

Seriously…fuck off. I have a Quran, a Torah, a Tripitaka, the I Ching, and others. Knowing about other religions, regardless of your own, is called being learned. You may want to look into it.
