Instead, anyone who has realistic answers to serious questions like entitlement reform, immigration, tax structure, and foreign policy is really unlikely to emerge from the Republican primary.

The process of obtaining a license in California also “requires” the license applicant to register to vote, which can be done automatcally at the time of registering. There is NO CHECK ON ENSURING VOTER LEGALITY when this is done.

When one applies for a license as an illegal alien (they call it “immigrant;” to me, immigrant implies LEGALITY, there CAN be no “ILLEGAL” immigrant), then one doesn’t (actually, cannot) supply a social security number. So when the option of registering to vote is selected yes, the voter registration is performed without the required social security number. But since the Voter registration department is getting the request from the DMV, the Voter Registration department processes the request without requiring data, as it ostensibly is also available in the DMV. They cite “cost savings from the avoidance of data duplication” for this process.

I am not convinced Trump has the staying power to make through the primaries and be on top when the nominating convention convenes next August. He puts on a good show, appeals to a lot of people, but the unusual schtick could grow tiresome or even boring. If Trump’s positions on the issues is in common acceptance within the party, will not other Republicans move toward his position, and then maybe weaken his hold?
