|| By FITSNEWS || All those “Republican” presidential candidates dissing Donald Trump might want to think twice. And so should the national cable news network which engaged in a transparent, no-holds-barred effort to sink his insurgent presidential campaign.
How come? Because as much as the GOP establishment may hate him: Trump = Ratings.
According to the early overnight Nielsen ratings, the first “Republican” presidential debate on Fox News scored a 16.0 household rating between 9:00-11:00 p.m. EDT. In other words sixteen percent of homes with television sets were tuned into the exchange, broadcast live nationally from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Is that record viewership for a primary debate? Um, yes.
By a landslide.
The Trump debate drew more than three times as large an audience as the most-watched “Republican” debate from the 2012 cycle – and more than twice as large an audience as the most-watched Democratic debate from 2008.
An estimated 24 million viewers tuned into the Fox News debate on Thursday night. By comparison, the most-watched debate of the 2012 primary election drew only 7.6 million voters.
That’s seismic … and further evidence attesting to the forces fueling Trump’s “say-anything” candidacy (for more on those, click here and here).
America long ago tuned out its typical two-party politicians … and with good reason. But love him or hate him, Trump has now given them a reason to tune back in. And every single politician on the stage in Cleveland should be thanking Trump for that.

Hmm, in 2007 GWB, while President of the US, set up a private email server at the RNC office. Over the coming months he and his staff ran millions of personal and government emails through those servers, in violation of federal law. Later that year and into 2008 Congress tried to subpoena those emails, in connection with an investigation into the possible illegal firing of US Attorneys. The allegation was the Bush Administration fired numerous US Attorneys for failing to file political prosecutions against Democrats running against Republicans in close races.

The only President in the last 50 years to run an annual surplus was Bill Clinton. The budget deficit exploded under Bush, and even more following the great recession, as revenue plummeted, and we spent trillions on war. The annual deficit has been falling for the last 4 years and last year was lower than any year Bush was President, except the first two years, where he benefited from the Clinton surpluses.

As has been said many times before, by many different people, the Republicans in many (most?) cases are becoming no different than the Democrats. Look at Lindsey and Boehner as a handy “for instance”. They give Obama whatever he asks for, most of the time. Voting out people lime them, even at the expense of having a Democrat in their seat for a term, is the only way to really get them to understand that their actions are unacceptable. To let them continue this charade only makes things worse.
Unfortunately, a lot of us (myself included) have fallen for that (voting for the Republican “lesser evil”) too many times already. The establishment party pulled out all the stops to keep Ron Paul on a back burner and off the stage on the last go-around. They offer us a turd (like Romney, or McCain before him) and expect us to like it. As with 2012, if they offer up another lame piece of shit (Bush, Rubio, Perry, etc) they can expect to not get my vote, and hopefully the votes of many others. If they think something only a little less harmful than Hillary is going to get my vote, they will know different when I (and hopefully many others) vote for Trump, the Libertarian candidate) or other better choice, even if they don’t win. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said today that “an extremely credible source” has revealed to him that Donald Trump has a pet elephant. “I cannot disclose the source, but he – or she – is extremely credible,” Reid said.
The elephant, according to Reid, was shipped in from the planet Neptune last March and has been living with Trump at an undisclosed location in New York City ever since. Reid denied he was making up outrageous, unsubstantiated charges just to get the Trumps to disclose their veterinarian records
