Look into AG Wilson’s service, Congressman Wilson service, Mark Sanford’s service. They all got similar treatment and they all were promoted quickly.

You do know those robocalls have political exemptions/loopholes right? As long as it has a “number” on caller ID they still can call. That’s not Joes fault, any one republicans, or any one democrats, that’s juts the full systems fault. Right, because today’s US military is all about fighting for freedom … the freedom of Boeing/ Northrup Grumman/ Halliburton et. al. to continue making MAD bank.
I don’t disagree with most of this.
That said, the military has a long history of creating flexible circumstances for all public figures. This is absolutely, 100% no different than any other politician that also serves in the military. Every single one of them has a peculiar set of rules that allows them to “wear both hats.”
Thus, while I understand how the average civilian could feel compelled to poke fun at the ambiguity, I’m telling you this is par for the course for every single state or federal public interest figure. Ergo, your “lack of participation” in the service further highlights your ignorance on the fact that Graham is no different than any other.
(Of final note, I detest the guy and disagree with him on 99% of the issues. Therefore, I do not defend him at all. I’m simply pointing out your hypocrisy on attempting to “poke” at his lack of service)
Look up the word hypocrisy in the dictionary and you will find Will Folks’ picture next to it.

I thought I recently saw a picture of Graham in his uniform with the insignia of a full bird Colonel. To be advanced from O-5 to O-6 usually requires extra training and military courses that Graham has never availed himself. I am guessing that the Air Force promoted him based on his track record on defense and his influence in the future.
It has been a long time since I have been in the military, and things could have changed.
It was his advocacy and defense of the F-35.

I called BS on Graham’s military duty when he was running for Senator. He implied that he was a Gulf I vet when actually he stayed stateside serving in the SC Air Guard as a JAG but the shit-eating right wingnuts put their hands over their ears and voted for him anyway
But to be no BS “fair and balanced” (unlike Faux News) a couple of things need to be pointed out:
1.. Graham ain’t a soldier, he is an airman (show you how very little FITS knows of the military)
2. The military favors by way of being a politician that Graham has received pale by comparison to FITS’ ass-hole buddy Mark “Shirker” Sanfraud who used his political influence to get a commission as an officer in the USAF Reserves.
At least Graham has pulled a few deployments in the Theater of Operations – unlike that shirker Sanfraud who managed to get a gig where he don’t have to go overseas – period………….
As far as I know that puke is still “serving” as an officer in the USAF Reserves (which is a disgrace to the uniform in itself)
One other fact concerning Graham that I forgot to post:
Graham served in the active duty Air Force for a number of years as an Air Force JAG before becoming a politician. I believe he served in Germany for a few years if my memory serves correct.
He has not spent ALL of his military service as a reservist or Guardsman.
I’m not a Graham supporter but the truth needs be first and foremost.
