Barr is a great investigative reporter – exceedingly tenacious – and we were sad to see him leave South Carolina.
What’s he up to these days? Dealing with the “slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,” apparently.

A 27-year-old Westwood (Ohio) man was arrested Tuesday after shooting a Fox-19 WXIX TV reporter in the leg with a compound arrow, according to Cincinnati police arrest records.
Daniel Fisher is facing an assault charge related to an incident in which police said he shot an arrow that ricocheted off the ground and struck the victim – Fox-19 investigative reporter Jody Barr – in the leg, a police incident report stated.
Barr, who confirmed the details of the incident to The Enquirer, said he was not seriously injured.

The arrow on Hillary’s logo bothers me. It points right, hell I doubt her car even has a right turn signal. All she know is hard left. That logo is a violation of the truth in advertising laws.

I wish Jody would come back here. With Butch Todd gone as Manager at WIS, I wonder if the new manager might be more inclined to let Jody do what he does so well, rather than keep him on a two inch leash. There are still loads of corruption in Richland and Lexington counties that he could mine and feel like he had hit “the motherlode”, every few days or so.
I don’t beleive they have a new manager yet. It’s still in the “national search” phase.
At this point anyone who is worth a shit is realizing the reason it’s still open is because it’s a shithole station.
He’s not a young female, so they wouldn’t hire him. Even after Todd left WIS is still a training station.
Even though I liked Jody his body always had that “pin cushion” shape.
Did not get to see him up here, Cable TV in these parts did not carry a WIS-TV.
Don’t think we missed much. I have a relative in Columbia, and she loved everyone at WISTV until Donita Todd took over as General Manager. She says it now the pits, she loved the old local talent.

Yeah, My relative was really disgusted with Todd, she voiced pretty much the same opinion.
Bummer, I used to watch when I lived in Columbia. And can remember back to the days of Tootsie ? and Jerry Pate.

Jody Barr was a bulldog that gave State Government, especially, the highway patrol in check. WIS gave in to political pressure and neutered Barr. He had to leave the state. WIS has cowered from exposing government corruption every since. They ran off Ben Hoover and thankfully he has found a home at another Columbia station. Even Fits has been hesitant to break any hard hitting stories on state government lately.
And they say Trump is hard on his critics……

Jody messed with the Governor, which angered a lot of Republicans who buy a lot of advertising on WIS…..The choice between Jody and advertising revenue is an easy one….That’s my perspective. What’s yours?
