AMID CONTROVERSY, “THE DONALD” OPENS UP HUGE NATIONAL LEAD

|| By FITSNEWS ||  Nothing can stop “The Donald,” it would seem …

Amid his latest national controversy, billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump has opened up a double-digit lead on his nearest opponent for the GOP presidential nomination.

Trump received 24 percent support from “Republican” primary voters in the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll. That’s nearly a two-to-one margin over his nearest challenger – Wisconsin governor Scott Walker.

The poll was in the process of being conducted when Trump made his controversial remarks toward fiscally liberal U.S. Senator John McCain – calling the aging warmonger a “loser” and disparaging his military record.

McCain had previously attacked Trump’s candidacy and those embracing it – calling attendees at a Trump rally in Arizona “crazies.”

According to The Washington Post, “support for Trump fell sharply on the one night that voters were surveyed following those comments.”

Trump addressed the controversy in responding to the new poll numbers.

“People are tired of incompetent leaders and being pushed around at will by other nations, our enemies, and even our friends,” he said. “Politicians have completely failed the American people. We owe $18 trillion dollars, have porous and dangerous borders, and can’t even take proper care of our magnificent Veterans. If I become President I will do what I do best – fix these problems and Make America Great Again!”

In fact Trump one-upped that comment on his Facebook page, saying “we will soon be at a point with our incompetent politicians where we will be treating illegal immigrants better than our veterans.”

As we’ve stated repeatedly, Trump’s “say anything” candidacy is tapping into something bigger than itself.  It’s literally a “Bulworth” moment in American politics, referring to the 1998 film which starred Warren Beatty as a politician who lost his filter.

His challenge (from our perspective)?

Finding specific pro-free market, pro-liberty policies to lend substance and credibility to his insurgent campaign – while simultaneously fending off the inevitable attacks about previous political positions he’s taken.

Trump has succeeded in getting everyone to pay attention to his candidacy.  And he’s clearly shown he’s unafraid of the political and media establishments that “Republicans” typically try (unsuccessfully) to cozy up to.

Now he needs to find that next gear …

I don’t know whether you are typical Republican establishment or a Kochsucker, but Trump is facing attack from both sides and is still kicking ass. The establishment is terrified of losing its power, and the Kochs are terrified of losing the investment they made when they bought Walker and Cruz.
You guys need to get on board or get out of the way because the people like what Trump has to say.

Hmm…Trump is surging, by showing how slapping the shit out of liberal idiots, like her, brings support in droves, while she sinks a little deeper each day, and her own party is beginning to piss on her.

You’re not much of a political scientist are you? (:

Go away! We don’t need support from people like you. Trump will have a positive message for Americans. Success. Foreigners may not like the message, but the people of this country will. I believe legal immigrants will as well.

In national polling Trump gets 22% of the voters. How you win with 22% I don’t know.

GOTRUMP July 21, 2015 at 12:07 pm

In the end, whoever the Republicans nominate will get 40%+ of the National vote, as will Hillary. The battle is over the 20% who are true Independents. Trump can win more than half of those.

Rocky July 21, 2015 at 12:27 pm

Oh no, he can will of them, as an indy. No way in the world the RINO / Industrial class allows Donny to get GOP nomination.

GOTRUMP July 21, 2015 at 12:48 pm

He will not be an Indy, he will be a Republican. He will defeat the RINO industrial class I.e. establishment Republicans and the Kochs in the primaries.. Then he will convince Independents to vote Republican in the general.

pass it! July 21, 2015 at 1:59 pm

Whatever you are smoking you need to share

Rocky July 21, 2015 at 11:54 am

No, Trump is surging by slapping the crap out of the other GOP candidates. He actually says very little about Senora Clinton. He’s attracting the under-educated, older GOP voters (i.e. Tea Party). Look at his demographics, he does best with white men and women, over 55, with no college, or some college. Once you get to GOP voters under 55 with a college degree or higher, his support falls off markedly. Karl Rove’s worse nightmare, the GOP has become home to under-educated angry whites – and now they’re all flocking around Trump. BTW – yesterday I told you it would be Hillary 46, Jeb 32 and Trump 22. You said I was an idiot – you “schooled me.” Well dumb@$$, why don’t you head out and look at the poll released yesterday with Trump in the lead. It polled people on a three-way race with HC, JB and DT – and the numbers – nearly exactly what I said. So shut your pie-hole!!!

The Koch Brothers, through the Comcerned Veterans for America, are turning on Trump. Thier state representative Daniel Brennan has tweeted disparaging comments about Trump and one tweet mentioned that the organization would issue a more formal statement later this week. That tweets appears to have been taken down.

The Kochs moving against Trump will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

You wish!!. The people do not want a Koch bought and paid for politician. They want a guy who speaks his mind, not the mind of David Koch. If the Kochs want the Presidency they need to run for the Presidency, and not put up a sock puppets like Walker and Cruz backed by their billions and doing what they are told.
Trump can’t be bought and that is why the Koch Brothers hate him; but the people like what he has to say.

Reply
Andrew July 21, 2015 at 11:00 am

Really? A gay man with no military experience running South Carolina? So many veterans are looking for jobs. Qualified people. The last thing we need is a gay activist running the Concerned Veterans for America.

The first thing we should do is hire the veterans who risk their lives for America, not fought for gay marriage.

Go Trump. You are showing what courage to speak down to the left, and the Democrat Party can do for your popularity. We desperately need men and women with GUTS.

I am solidly for Trump but I hate he has to deal with support from people like you. Trump will be a President for all Americans. He will not leave behind the 47% Romney and his Republican establishment cohorts would abandon. And he will not bash people because of their political beliefs. He will convince them he is right by success. He is being attacked by the Republican establishment and the Koch Brothers right now, not “liberals.” You are not the kind of support we need, when this is a fight for Republicans and independents. Your ilk will drive the independents away.

No you fucking idiot it doesn’t. Establishment Republicans are people who support the status quo. The Washington insiders with Washington ideas. AKA Bonher and McConnell. Trump is something totally new. That is why they hate him. You go fuck yourself with them. Which is where you belong. Fighting to divide America into camps instead of convincing America we need a new direction for success.

Any candidate, especially Walker, backed by Koch money is threatened by Trump. The Koch’s front organizations will turn on Trump like mad dogs because his ascendancy undermines their chances of winning — and doing the bidding of David and Charles.

Haven’t we already pass that intersection – I recall something about veterans being put on “you will die before you can get an appointment program” at Veterans Hospitals all across the United States

I don’t recall any local non-military hospitals doing such – in fact on those occasions when I have gone to the Emergency Room everyone there, legal and illegal, appear to get treated equally

I think everybody already knows I’m for Carson.

Nevertheless, Trump is a genuine political phenomenon happening among Americans and it genuinely frightens the RINOs and GOP Elite. The Rs and Es are scared to death that THEIR choice will not get by the voters they fooled in 2012. We strive to be a democratic Republic, but when almost everyone in Washington has succumbed to the siren-song of the Elite, there is no true representation.

Think about it. Truly rich and powerful people don’t want to hear from us, the voters. They want a benign monarch to keep power in THEIR hands. A Fascist Dictatorship (Buddy Capitalism) works the same for them, too.

The question for us voters is this: Can WHOEVER wins stave off the temptations of being co-opted? We know Democrats are already in their pockets or like Bernie, love the power of government. If you can answer that question, you’ll know whom to vote for. I’m sticking with Carson, but I understand the genuine attraction of the Donald, and believe him to be a serious candidate.
