In fact we’d describe them as “too little, too late.”
Yes, it is, the only thing that would bring about what Bush wants to accomplish is a violent revolution.
It might be called for if the government keeps growing at the relentless pace it has going for the last few decades.

Reply
Bill July 21, 2015 at 11:51 am

And since all the benefits of that relentless growth have accrued to the top 5% of Americans, we can only wonder which direction that violent revolution will take. Fascist dictator like Hitler or Communist Dictator, like Stalin.

erneba July 21, 2015 at 12:01 pm

I like to think there are more good people looking for change than people like Hitler or Stalin. After all, the settlers of this country pulled off a revolution and had the best interest of the general populous in mind.
The growth I am speaking of is the size and cost of the central government, not the growth in value or wealth, although that has occurred.

Bill July 21, 2015 at 12:37 pm

Every segment of our society, from the middle class to the poorest are worse off today than they were 30 years ago. Only the top 5% are better off, and they are way better off. It is obvious our government has been working for them and not for everyone else. If there is a revolt that will not be ignored,
The American Revolution was a revolt against the control of a distant country with occupying forces. What you describe would be civil war or a coup d’état Either way we would have a dictator of some type, who would most likely be ruthless and blood thirsty.. I hope most people have more sense than you. We must solve our problems at the polls or everything we stand for is lost.

Tom July 21, 2015 at 1:06 pm

Hmm, violent revolution means you want to kill some Americans. What group do you want to kill, and do you expect them to fight back?

Kill Or Be Killed July 21, 2015 at 1:54 pm

It’s only one step further than normal conservative policies.

Send poor kids to die in needless wars!

Cut programs for the general welfare of the impoverished!

Slowly do away with institutions that care for the elderly!

Make the health care system even more exclusionary!

Take away workers’ rights!

Give more to the rich!

It’s hard to convince people to accept these policies that will obviously do harm to the hard working people of this country.

Dead people don’t need convincing though!

lol at any of that happening. Donald Trump has a better chance at getting Mexico to pay for the border fence than Jeb does getting any of this done.

Funny seeing the liberals trying to push your GOP nominee choice.

Sorry, but Jeb’s train has left the station. GOP voters let you have your way in 08 and 12, and the country has been severely damaged because of your fuck up. Now STFU and GTFO the way. We cannot afford your incompetence and failure anymore.

Bush’s biggest donors are executives from Goldman Sachs. The company involved with every US Economic collapse since the early 1800s. That’s enough to tell me that Bush is not going to do a damn thing for the average US Citizen. With Hillary Clinton also supported by Wall Street, both the GOP and DEMs are owned by the 1% Bankers. I’m voting for none of the above.

And these George Soros backed politicians are quick to point out those backed be the Koch Bros. Koch industries is an American success story. They actually make stuff as opposed to the money laundering liberals. They actually stand for the things that made America great : hard work, less govt. intrusion, individual liberty and individual responsibility. The Koch Bros are real Americans. Imagine that.

Reply
Trump 2016 July 21, 2015 at 1:51 pm

The Koch Brothers just want to run the country. They want to buy the Presidency, and they have made a sizable deposit.
Yes they are Americans, and there are 350 million more of us. Imagine that. How American were they when they were using their money to lobby states to exercise eminent domain power to force ranchers to give up their property for the Keystone Pipeline?. Screw the Koches and all the politicians they have bought.

Reply
Crooner July 21, 2015 at 3:39 pm

The biggest threat to the Koch brothers is a political response to the global warming threat. Sure, they’re already rich beyond want but they sit on billions yet to be pumped to the surface. That’s why they’re spending what they are to buy the presidency.

RogueElephant July 21, 2015 at 4:06 pm

It’s funny how the Koch Bros always want to “buy the presidency” but Soros actually has done it with Obummer.

Apparently, they’re incompetent. They keep running losers.

They can’t even shut down the Tea Party they paid for.

Rick Santelli of the Chicago Board of Trade started the Tea Parties and similar movements … All He said, re: high taxes, was “We need another Boston Tea Party … ”

Look it up.

Correct and ditto.

I watched Trump’s speech today from Beaufort SC.
He’s turning down donations. Says he doesn’t want any money from anybody. So, he doesn’t owe anything except to the US Citizens. Further, he called out Lindsey Graham as a political corporate beggar. Even gave out Graham’s personal phone number (which is still good) from when he hit Trump up for money. His speech was right on target. He sounded like a Democrat half time and a GOP the rest of the time.

It also came out that the media chopped his John McCain comments, and left off the 4 times he did call McCain a war hero.

It’s gonna be fun to watch the GOP debates, with Trump calling out the GOP corporate beggars, and the GOP candidates calling Trump a racist anti-military nut. The muds gonna fly. Should be great fun.

Thanks for posting. This site refuses to pay attention to the things that really matter, because it reflects badly on their political heroes, and hurts the Democratic Party. But my God, I don’t care what party you’re in, if you are not aghast at what the government is doing to our country, you are brain dead.

I cannot believe that NAZI Germany was any more in the dark than 2015 America. We are in some very ugly times, and it is because of who is running the nation, out of Washington DC.

God Help Us, PLEASE. Send us some enlightened leaders to turn back the horrors that have been bestowed upon us.

GT has multiple personality disorder. One personality is a young rabid right wing racist redneck; another personality is an old rabid right wing racist redneck, and a third is a middle aged right wing rabid racist redneck. There was a fourth personality. That personality applied for and accepted Medicaid. I think that personality was killed by the other three, who now split that personalities Social Security Check. They talk to each other a lot, and they are breeding.

Lord, I wish GrandTango still posted on this God-forsaken site. I completely understand your paranoia over him. His insight, intelligence and creativity is sorely missed.

I think the FITSNews staff was intimidated by GT, and banned him. He was better at what they are trying to do, than they are. But to ban him is a loss to any poor slob that ventures onto this site.

GT presented unique and informed fodder, much more than the authors of the site.

It’s why so much of the lazy, less-intelligent pack-mentality thinkers showed so much hostility and contempt for Grand Tango. He was very good at exposing them and chronicling their double-speak and lies.

If there was only one improvement that could be made to FITSNews, it should be to allow GT back on.

That sums up a lot, in and of itself. One should be astonished at the fact that it is “most controversial” to imply that another should show up and do their job in order to get paid for said job.

Bush is attempting to sound tough like Trump. The difference is, Bush is all talk talk talk and do nothing. Trump means business. Trump is serious. Bush is just trying to get votes by saying absolutely anything. He’s done. The nation has seen how so many all at once attacked Trump from all directions and wondered why? Now they have figured it out. Trump gets in the White House, he has access to all the evidence needed to put 1000s of them away in prison. That’s the real fear they have of him.
