“Shame on the Obama administration for agreeing to a deal that empowers an evil Iranian regime to carry out its threat to ‘wipe Israel off the map’ and bring ‘death to America,’” said Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor.
Mr. Huckabee, like the rest of the G.O.P. field, offers not a clue as to how he would prevent Iran from doing those things, which don’t actually require a nuclear weapon, which the United States and Israel have, by the way.

Mr. Rubio said the United States should ratchet up sanctions until Iran agrees to completely dismantle its nuclear program. “A comprehensive agreement should require Iran to verifiably abandon – not simply delay – its pursuit of a nuclear weapons capability,” said Jeb Bush, former governor of Florida. Well, yes, that would have been comprehensive. Again, it was never going to happen.
Would Mr. Bush argue that a succession of United States presidents should not have negotiated arms deals with the Soviet Union because they did not lead to full, unilateral disarmament and a renunciation of communism? I hope not.
The same applies to a comment by Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey, who said: “The deal threatens Israel, it threatens the United States, and it turns 70 years of nuclear policy on its head.” It does not do those things.
One of my favorite lines of attack was the one voiced by (among others) Rick Perry, the former governor of Texas and former spectacular failure in the Republican primary process. “President Obama’s decision to sign a nuclear deal with Iran is one of the most destructive foreign policy decisions in my lifetime,” he said.

It say’s America can press to be allowed into Military sites. Anyone with an iota of common sense should know that this kills any and all inspections. If they don’t allow the inspections the sanctions are reimposed, and we are in the same place we are today. That is the stick. This is not just an American plan. Europe has agreed as well. If the sanctions were not hurting them, they would not negotiate at all. At least with this plan Europe has agreed to abide by the sanctions if Iran does not allow inspections.

If Iran is thought to have violated the deal, in order to “snap back” sanctions a dispute resolution process must be undertaken that can last two and a half months, after which the matter can be referred to the UN Security Council. At the UNSC, the re-imposition of sanctions can be vetoed by Russia, which stands to earn billions of dollars from arms sales to a non-sanctioned Iran. You have no clue Jack. None.

Just to name a few…are you aware that there are not anytime, anywere inspections and we have to get their approval to inspect, with as much as 24 days prior to inspection? Do you know they are not ending R&D on centrifuges? Do you know they are not dismantling key nuclear sites? Do you know that the agreement ends the embargo on shipment of conventional weapons and missiles, just a week after the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs strongly said that would be a big mistake? But what the hell does he know. Did the internation community spell out guidelines as to how it would respond to violations? No. Are you aware that Iran is the world’s leading state-sponsor of international terrorism, with a history of sheer dishonesty and nowhere in this deal is that dealt with?

My response is easy, because it is the best deal we can get. This is not a unilateral agreement. We are not the only players. And actually all of the issues you mentioned are addressed. If Iran does not allow inspections the inspectors deem sufficient for them to assure us Iran is not constructing or acquiring nuclear weapons, the sanctions are re-imposed and we are right back were we are now.
The alternative of the brain dead Fox watchers like you, is no deal at all. Which means Iran will continue to do what it is doing now without inspections, without an agreement not to pursue nuclear weapons, and Europe will soon bail on sanctions. Which means Iran will be able to import weapons from Europe, Russia and China and construct or acquire nuclear weapons without our knowledge. A recipe for war.

After Saddam had been suckered into war with the world – the bottle-fed “useful idiot” that was “born again” arrived on the stage complete with puppet strings, “handlers,” and “advisers (the neocons)” to help complete their vision of “creative destruction” in the Middle East. This bold move would lead us into a new era of conquest… the spreading of “democracy” (domination) – setting in motion chaos in the countries opposing Israel… (and, incidentally, acquisition of control over a country possessing the second largest proven reserves of oil on the planet).
Israel, of course, is fine with the United States pilfering the resources of the Arab(and hopefully Persian) countries, even if it means support by a derivative religion, a blasphemous fantasy surrounding perversions concerning their own Messiach – a religion assigning one of Judaism’s lesser prophets that title, and historically blaming “the Jews” for his crucifixion, and eternal torment for their leader’s blindness to their own ignorance.
Why was Israel so eager to ally themselves with these demented fools who created an entire religion out of whole cloth? Because it would allow them to leverage a very strong belief by these hillbillies – that support of Israel is the key to the prosperity of America. Though the United States reliably supported Israel in the UN, vetoing or ignoring any resolution that Israel disliked, it wasn’t enough. They wanted support from the voting public, which was waning as the “Palestinian Problem” was constantly producing bad press.
Israel wanted to be recognized as a “Jewish state” – and at the same time, “a secular democracy.” Impossible to resolve? It served its purpose as a bone in the throat of diplomacy. But no matter, growing “fanatical” Arab opposition to Israel’s extreme use of “non-proportional force,” illegal settlements, occupation, incremental annexation, and refusal to acknowledge Palestine as a state, or share Jerusalem as a capital… had become an issue that the left found increasingly offensive…”but.. but… the holocaust!” wasn’t working any more. The left was getting in the way of a greater Israel.
The pressure on Israel to “be just” to “show maturity” and to “seek meaningful peace” from the left was unbearable…
