EVEN THE FISCALLY LIBERAL GOP CANDIDATES AGREE … “REPUBLICAN” CONTROL IS POINTLESS
|| By FITSNEWS || If you think the “Republican” controlled U.S. House has been as worthless as tits on a bull (which it has), “Republican” control of the U.S. Senate has been similarly pointless.
Just as we said it would …
Figuring this out (albeit belatedly) is former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee.
“I think Republicans are too concerned about protecting their own turf than they are protecting the lives of working Americans throughout this country,” Huckabee said this week during an interview with nationally syndicated radio host Hugh Hewitt. “I just, for example, I thought we sent the Senators and gave them the majority so they would work on putting a stop to the executive overreach on things like immigration and Obamacare. And instead, this Senate turned around and gave the President more authority on trade, even though they admitted they hadn’t even read the bill they were voting on to give him more authority. And they’ve done nothing on the issues like Obamacare and trade. It’s very frustrating to watch this, and I went to 37 states campaigning for people to get the majority in the Senate, and I’m not sure why I did that last year, to be honest with you.”
Well, well …
This website doesn’t heart Huckabee.
And we gave up on the GOP a long time ago.
Still, it’s revealing that one of the most liberal “Republicans” seeking the presidency in 2016 has come to the realization that his effort on behalf of the GOP majority was utterly and completely pointless.

Just looking at the photo leads me to believe that fat fucker of a Cockroach couldn’t rip open a packet of sugar without visual aids and two assistants
Dat’s eezy. Rip pack in half, drop sugar on conter top, scrap in cup wid elbows. Any questiones?
Republican control is pointless because the Republicans are gutless.
…in dealing with their own freakish minority.
They’re so terrified of inflaming the rednecks they won’t admit the sun rises in the east. You have two Ivy League educated GOP candidates (one’s a Rhodes Scholar) who wear cowboy boots and fall all over themselves pretending to be goobers.
Sun rise in east? Please site your sorce.
Huckabee and this website are natural partners. You are both very moderate, both Libertarians, in your desire to compromise principles in order to appease anyone who will listen, and support you.
“Fat Jesus freak is angry that people don’t do what he thinks they should.”
That’s the guy who supports incest and pedophilia, right?

I’m getting sick of this gutless populism, even the ideologue Cruz caved after voting for and writing an op-ed in favor of TPA. He changed his vote and gave completely nonsensical excuses. If a Republican is not for freer trade then he/she is worthless as a Republican. Of the Republican candidates only Bush, Rubio and Walker are holding the conservative position for TPA and freer trade. Some candidates like Pataki I’m unsure about.
Not every candidate is going to agree with everything you support. To demand 100% agreement will give you another 100% WRONG president, like the one we have now. We cannot afford Hillary. So you – and all of us- better find a true Conservative Republican, early, and stick with him or her. We are 4 years worse off because we sat at home in 2012. The country will be totally ruined if the Democrats get another run. We have the House and Senate, when we get all 3, we can then apply unmerciful pressure, daily, on the GOP. But we must get the White House first.
The country will be totally ruined if the Democrats get another run.

Oh Hell these are thr progeny of the same damn idiots who assured us back in 1964 that if we didn’t elect Barry Goldwater the country was gone.
That was over Fifty damn years ago.
Idiots then,idiots now
They were right then. Now fifty years later we see the result of the Great Society. 18 trillion in debt, no morals, and the worst POTUS since LBJ. I would say , just as I said then, “If LBJ is elected the country will go to hell “and it has. I am sorry I was right.
…and Leon is getting laaaaaarger!
There’s a sale at Penneys!
Republicans rule, Democrats govern. It’s too simple.
You got it backwards.
I don’t know why the Republicans are courting the Baptists and evangelicals in the South – they are already in rabid, slobbering red-meat seeking mode.. convinced liberals are destroying the country… they need to focus on the Catholic vote! pro-life just isn’t enough to hide the hypocrisy of Republican lack of “good works.”
Republican money people see the fetus loving Catholic anti-contraception protesters as a convenient way to attack welfare recipients and planned parenthood, chipping away at any support from the government for Americans down on their luck. It doesn’t cost them much, and they have a 24/7 vocal minority campaigning to siphon even more money away from the bottom and middle into their pockets.
Republicans started out with a “big tent,” saying abortion was ok with them. Then they co-opted the pro-life platform….to garner the Catholic vote, which historically voted overwhelmingly Democratic (in large part because “good works” is also
a very big part of what it is to be Catholic.) It was a good a way to divide that vote and even to capture it by adopting a cause that would overshadow the “good works” leanings of the Catholics (without taxing the rich). The Catholics have always been a large, reliable voting block.
Now, all they have to do is somehow keep Catholics convinced that “pro-life” is a substitute for doing no good works … that is, keep the evangelicals and Catholics from seeing through the “don’t tax the rich” smoke-screen, and discovering that the Republicans are scum.
Unfortunately those in charge – both Republicans and Democrats are rich and both secretly do not want to tax the rich because (1) it will hurt their own pocketbooks and (2) hurt all of their donors’ pocketbooks. Look at the perspective Democratic nominee for President – absolutely loaded to the gills. If the rich Dems are so much against the rich getting richer, then why do they not move into a trailer park and give all of their money to the IRS?? Of course, any sane person knows why.
Abortions are bad – for anyone to defend abortionist is just sadistic – when you can hear a heartbeat at 6 to 7 weeks and a large % of abortions are done after that timeframe, then there is only one thing you can call it – I have not met a lot of women that were happy go lucky after having an abortion – it is a regret that the mom and dad have to live with for the rest of their lives.
I agree that we do need to make sure that we deliver healthcare needs to our poor. But we also had that in place prior to Obamacare. I got laid off from my job once and had to buy healthcare and I found a policy that was essentially a high deductible policy where I had to pay the initial $10K out of pocket. The policy in 2011 was $200 per month for me and my kids. It did not have all of the luxuries of the Obamacare Olympic medal plans, but it would protect us from big medical expenditures. That is what people need – not the richy plans – and use medicare to cover those in the poverty level.
What we Dems and Repubs (who are not rich as skunks) need to do is ban together and boot all incumbents out of office – get term limits put on the books (do you know in SC that you cannot even get something put up for vote unless approved first by the legislature / politicians – amazingly most southern states have no provision for ballet referendums). I actually had a politician tell me that we do not need what has been going on in Wisconsin (i.e. code word that they do not want a punch of citizens to potentially usurp their authority and get some bums booted out of office).
My son is a pizza delivery guy and he told me that delivering pizza lets him know how everyone lives to the point that he would not take a tip from someone – I told him to keep up his “good works” and he needed to understand that the meek will inherit the earth (or at least I still hope so).
Trump is scaring the GOP and the Dems. They know if he is elected, many of them will end up indicted by Trumps US Attorney General.
I think Trump’s attorneys are busy begging companies to maintain a business relationship with the ‘Trump’ brand. Hope their Spanish is good.

Hey Mike, didn’t you pardon a convicted cop-killer and had the audacity to claim it was an oversight? How in Hell could that possibly happen, Mike?
Huckabee is the best person running in either party. That being said I question whether he has enough SOB to pull off a win. His strongest point is the good old fashioned common sense that he exhibits.
Huckabee passes my primary litmus test for POTUS Wannabee’s… and that is support for the FairTax bill (HR-25/S-155). Huckabee was beating that drum in 2008 when he ran the last time and it is still in his platform. But what he should be pointing out to those who are posing their own tax reform bills, is that the FairTax bill has over SIX DOZEN cosponsors in the house & senate. While there are three other candidates in the race that can actually cosponsor the FairTax bill, only Senator Ted Cruz has done so, while Senator Rand Paul has pieced together his own composite balancing act between a ‘flat’ income tax and a consumption tax. But all he has to do is sign on with those 70+ others in support of a bill that already exists… Support the candidates that support the FairTax!
